No customer service – Went to a couple of the stores to try and organise an overseas trip. I wanted someone who could actually help but all they wanted to do was try and sell. They werent helpful at all just wanted the commission. No different from Flight centre expect more expensive. Show details

Service could not have been better! – We had to claim on our insurance for a couple of items linked to a cancelled overseas cruise (due to Covid-19). We were fully covered as we had purchased the Annual Multi-Trip Insurance when we first booked the cruise about 12 months ago. Both RAA and Tokio Marine staff were very courteous at all times, and our claim was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. We would definitely purchase travel insurance with the RAA again. Show details

It served us well – The policy seemed expensive because I have pre-existing medical issue (diabetes). However it was cheaper than that offered by our travel agent for two planned 2020 overseas trips. claims process. When eventually I was able to lodge the claim I received a cheque in less than 2 weeks. The policy and the staff I dealt with were wonderful in a difficult time of our lives.

This insurance is a scam! Don’t get tricked by Raa, if you’re injured overseas you still must pay your own medical bills – This insurance is a scam! They are happy to take your money but after having this insurance for 10 months now I hurt my foot and tried to get covered for going to the hospital. Raa informed me I had to pay for everything up front and then submit my expenses to them. They told me if they do not approve my claim I Will be left out in the cold… Read more

with no reimbursement. Under no circumstance will they tell me if they will approve or not approve my claim until I have paid for everything in full. I had a scooter accident, causing a (probably broken) foot. I have a current full international motorbike license and was not drinking or breaking any road rules but because I didn’t find a police station and sit there (with my broken foot and scratches and scrapes) it will probably breach the conditions of my contract meaning Raa will probably refuse to reimburse me for my claim.... but of course they won’t tell me even though I asked them directly that exact question. They have no whatsapp contact either... My over all experience with Raa insurance so far has been they will happily take your money but do not want you to be able to contact them are not interested in covering you when you need it the most.

trip costing me $1100 not even making an allowance for the 42 days of the 44 I had already paid or take out another One year policy from the start of the trip. Not even a suggestion of a short 2 day policy to tide me over. Not Happy RAA and I have been a member for over 50 years and have not made a claim on several previous policies.

Luggage not covered once checked in to flight – RAA annual multi-trip international travel insurance (Tokio Marine Nichido) I do not recommend this product. International travel requires luggage to be checked in- plane or ship. RAA travel insurance does not cover luggage from point of flight checkin to point of collection- even with two additional locks fastened. - claim refused -… Read more
