RACV Veteran, Vintage and Classic Car Insurance

I received my new Policy in the mail and noticed RACV did not put in the modifications i mentioned to them over the phone. On the Policy form is has Modifications "none". I called back asking for written confirmation, but they won't do it, just said that it's "noted" in their system. In the case of a accident it will be my word against theirs. gentleman and pleasurable to deal with. Same experience with 2 home and holiday house claims ! They’ve blown me away in happy disbelief. Once my fuel filter failed on another Classic Car, and they came and jacked up the car to get to it and fixed it. “On the Road Again”in no time! Even their interstate help Australia all over is unparalleled should disaster strike, but I’ve never tested it………. I’d love to hear from someone who has that needed to get car and van back to their home in another State.

Needed a tow – Called racv in the morning needed my car towed to my mechanic person l spoke to very helpful said tow truck would be there within the hour and arrived 20 minutes later tow truck driver was also great. Show details ·  1

Ground Hog Day at the Circus – I was side hit on my vintage motorcycle by a young girl insured with RACV. I could not walk for 3 months and have plates and screws in my right leg thanks to her negligence. Don't worry I am insured she said....hahaha! Why...total incompetence. My motorcycle is rare, and is a write off. RACV assesors paid out bottom market value based on a completely different model which is commonly available, with zero consideration for the reariity. I had to arrange everything including the quote which I paid for, and I now have to arrange disposal of the bike through Pickles Auctions to finalise the claim. What a disgrace you are RACV. I have serious ongoing medical issues and you have done nothing to assist my recovery due to your complete incompetence. I previously thought RACV was a decent organisation, it is safe to say that I will NEVER associate myself with any of your services in future.

Out of touch classic car value – After being a long time classic car insurance customer I've had no choice but to finally leave. The pricing they offer is not even close to market value. There also seems to be a double standard in upping the value on an existing asset to current market / agreed value as the vehicle appreciates depending on who you speak with can determine what pricing you may get. Show details

Could not make it harder or dangerous for a "vulnerable" client – When an accidental double payment was made "electronically", a refund as an ANZ Bank Chq. arrived (AIK204). A NAB Bk Chq. was also given after ending roadside assist. WE CAN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE DUE TO COVID20 and being vulnerable! We cannot visit two banks. Show details
