Agent/woman who was spoken to was rude and short with response to questions. They seem to slip in extra expenses and hope you don't notice. You cannot choose to have your car sent to your preferred panel beater. additional $500 added if you want to take your car after assessment deemed a write off, and not let the designated panel beaters take it to sell for parts. Assessment was not thorough, just based on what he could see panel wise and guessed there was other damage. Very disappointed with the whole handling of the process. Will be going elsewhere in the future for car insurance. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Took upto 5 calls to finalise my policy for various issues - new car without rego no, unknown odometer reading, your team member not available, did not call back, repeated legal conditions to agree, sometimes 3 times in the same call etc. Simplification needed. Show details

After being with them for many years (10 Years +), I am shocked. I was paying $35 pm for vehicle insurance and now after my vehicle was written off to which I'm not at fault I'm quoted $115 pm for a similar vehicle. Really? It is about the cost. That is the up front cost. My Car is very old (28 years). It has very little "insurance value" approximately $2000. It is a 1997 Subaru Forester with 220,000 km on the clock . ludicrous reviews stating how easy it was to give my money to the Insurance company but the reviews on how fairly and rapidly claims were processed. Insurance no matter how cheap or expensive have no value if claims are rejected. When you have a flash car and are dripping with money comprehensive insurance would be the norm. The poorer you are and the trashier your car you drift towards the more affordable 3rd party Fire and Theft policy. For some bizarre reason with Seniors Car Insurance 3rd party Fire and Theft is more expensive than comprehensive. My brain hurts. I went through the online assessment for a quote but just to be sure I rang SCI. A nice pleasant person offered me the same policy as the online policy but at a significantly higher price. Wierd??. Try not to ring SCI. The endless description of what a bad person you are and what will happen to you under their Legal System makes you want to kill yourself just to deny them the pleasure.

What a waste of time. We battled for 5 months with dismissive and unhelpful customer service staff. A claim was submitted we chose a local repairer who then tried multiple times to upload his quote. Despite many phone calls and being ignored that there were software issues FINALLY one helpful person escalated the claim and the quote was assessed and another month later the car was repaired. 6 months !!!! It was a bit difficult online for myself like do i have a windscreen on my pay as you go so I paid extra for it, odometer reading but I worked it out as my policy was not due just yet, but after some more reading, I found I just ring 2 days before to update it. I was insured with you last year and when renewal came I felt it was too expensive..I shopped around and ended up finding pay as you go was cheaper with your company. My car was written off after a severe crash,with a kangeroo a couple of weeks ago. No injuries except for the poor animal. The claim was accepted, practically immediately.
