Much better premium for seniors
Comprehensive Car InsuranceMy comprehensive insurance from Coles went up by $350, prompting me to shop around. Most of the big name insurers were much the same or a little cheaper. Then I did a quote through Seniors and was really happy at how much more affordable they were, especially the Pay As You Drive option given I’m lucky if I do 1500kms a year. I’m now kicking myself for not going with Seniors years ago.

renewal rip off
Comprehensive Car InsuranceMy auto renewal removed my limited KM discount, lowered the value of my car well below replacement cost and increased the rate charged.
To solve this i had to get a new policy on the internet and then cancel my old policy over the phone.
Everybody's time wasted. The auto renewal felt like they could deceptively give me less coverage for a higher premium. Not a nice feeling.

I am confused as to why Australian Seniors gets such glowing reviews when they are underwritten by Hollard which gets the worst reviews I have ever heard?
I have insured both my cars with AS and was looking at adding the roadside assist and only just realised the connection. Does anyone have experience with this? Many thanks.

I didn’t say I was dissatisfied, I have had no reason to claim as of now. I wondered how the reviews on here differ so much for two companies involved in the same product.

The only reviews I could see here were from people who DID NOT MAKE A CLAIM!!!
Problems begin when a claim is made with most insurers. Another question would be: WHY there are no reviews from people who had to claim? I think I can guess.

Seniors Car Insurance offers flexible cover options for over 50s. Since they started out in 1998, Australian Seniors has been committed to providing the best insurance products that give older Aussies peace of mind and more control over their life.
You can choose from 4 cover options depending on your needs:
- Comprehensive Car Insurance, Australian Senior’s highest level of coverage.
- Pay as You Drive Insurance, for those who spend less time driving.
- Third Party Property, Fire and Theft, covering accidental damage, theft, and fire.
- Third Party Property Damage Car Insurance, covering accidental damage to other vehicles.
You can also add optional extras and services for additional coverage. Extras include excess-free windscreen cover and hire car cover.
Roadside Assistance
Roadside Assistance is an optional service you can add to your car insurance policy or purchase as a standalone cover. This service helps you get back on the road by helping with things like flat tyres, flat batteries, and breakdowns.
