lost me forever time wasters

I just spent 10 odd minutes giving them all my details age points on license e-mail address phone number how long insured who with bla bla. Warns may get a call. So they send a code to make sure it's not wasting their time? While they waste yours. I am retired car garaged etc they got all that. So l get a call. Hard sell reason. Could just text quote e-mail etc. Mind you l had insurance with them last car. I then was told have another 15 odd minutes of more questions? Can't imagine what they need after filling out the lot online. I said bye not interested you just lost a customer. Show details

An enormous waste of time

You cannot complete a online quote without being forced to take a call and being subjected to a 30-40min high pressure sales pitch before they will disclose the price and ridiculous below market value that wouldn't cover a like for like replacement vehicle. In my opinion a very underhanded ruse. NRMA offered far greater value for money. Show details

Excellent Customer Service

The customer service from Siobhan was excellent. I had tried a couple of other companies before hand and it was soooo difficult. Flexibility was there and a thorough approach to the whole process. I will be trying some other insurance cover with her shortly. As for the product, I must admit I haven't had a chance to do a full comparison but am comfortable at this point in time. Show details

Will Take you for all you have

1. requested an online quote. No online quote provided only a phonecall afterward.
2. Youi wanted to charge me $180 per month, other insurers charged $80 per month and cover more with a much higher agreed value rather than the paltry market value that Youi wanted to use.

They are literally overcharging/stealing from people. They know they are hugely more expensive than other companies but still try to represent themselves as being "Good Value" Show details

Did a quote online and rang to adjust and ask questions. The operator I spoke to was so friendly and answered all my questions and I was thrilled with the outcome and signed up as it was a lot cheaper than my previous car insurance. Very Tedious

Wish we could just get a quote online. Very long tedious process when they ring you. I had 2 quotes substantially cheaper than our current ones and another was more expensive. They do ring back when they say they will which is good but even when you tell them you are at work so have to hurry they take ages to complete the call. One particularly annoying thing on one quote was that our 29 year old daughter cannot drive her fathers new car (Toyota 300 series) until she turns 30 - if we added her to the policy it made it around $400 more expensive. I guess we wont know how good they are until we have to make a claim. Show details

Awful Communication

Would not recommend Youi. They were great at first when I submitted my claim and I couldn't fault them however as time went on communication got worse to the point where I lodged a complaint in the hope it would prompt them to contact me (it did not). Over 2 months to receive a payout for a simple claim where I was not at fault. Show details

  • Comprehensive Insurance: cover for loss or damage to your car, as well as damage to other people's cars and property.
  • Third Party Fire & Theft: cover for fire and theft as well as damage to other people's cars and property.
  • Third Party Property Only: cover for damage to other people's property.

Youi Car Insurance has roadside assist with all Comprehensive car and motorcycle policies, guarantees the quality of all repairs as long as you own the vehicle, and offers a hire car when the other driver is at fault and your car cannot be driven.
