nationally trusted brand" all the way through the process, which is a load of nonsense! Trying to work with [Name Removed] from South Coast Sheds and Garages (Nowra Randbuild dealer) has been the most traumatic and stressful experience I have ever had in my life. It has been nothing but significant delays and repeated excuses for his incompetence and non-performance. If I had a dollar for every time he told me his children was ill or in hospital and so could not call me for weeks, I could have bought a new shed by now! I have never seen such poor communication and lack of transparency as I have from South Coast Sheds and Garages ([Name Removed]), with his constantly shifting blame and persistent avoidance. Even staff at Ranbuild and his transporters confirm his lies when he did not order my shed until early Feb 2026. My business has incurred significant financial losses and disruption because of his extensive delays and lies, not to mention charging me for an additional unnecessary roller door. I paid the full price for my shed in July 2025 and my project still remains incomplete as of April 2026. I have since raised a claim against Randbuild and South Coast Sheds and Garages for misleading conduct with Fair Trading and the Building Commission of NSW. Randbuild are just as culpable and fully aware of [Name Removed]’s unconscionable behaviour (as evident by this page which they moderate…) but continue to still keep endorsing [Name Removed] on their website as an accredited dealer, misleading customers into thinking they can trust [Name Removed]. [Name Removed]’s accreditation should be removed, given I am the sixth disgruntled customer in just 18 months dealing with South Coast Sheds and Garages. Absolutely appalling and atrocious behaviour from both Randbuild and [Name Removed]. Very un-Australian.

this point, the full amount of $45,000 had been paid.

From there, everything went wrong.

The original delivery date came and went with the excuse that the kit had been “forgotten to be put on the truck.” What followed was months of delays and constant excuses: • “Too dark” • “Too wet” • “Too heavy for the trailer” • “Someone else was meant to deliver it” • “Trailer blocked in” • “Child sick” • “Keys unavailable”

We spent countless hours chasing updates, with little to no proactive communication. Each interaction resulted in a new excuse, with no progress.

At one point, we were even sent photos as “proof” that our shed kit was sitting in the yard in Nowra — which we later discovered were not genuine.

By July, after months of delays, we escalated the issue to Ranbuild head office. After repeated follow-ups, we were eventually informed that our shed kit had never been ordered.

It was only after confronting [Name Removed] with this information, and indicating we would pursue legal and police action, that the order was finally placed.

We did not receive our shed kit until August — approximately five months after paying in full.

This experience was not just frustrating — it was deeply concerning. We effectively paid $45,000 for a product that had not even been ordered, while being repeatedly misled over an extended period.

We strongly caution anyone considering using this dealer to proceed very carefully. Our experience was genuinely awful, and we would not want anyone else to go through the same situation.

On behalf of my 27 year established Business- I called Ranbuild Warwick/MCG Sheds P/L this morning for a quote and to have someone discuss onsite an addition to our existing farm shed. The female that answered the phone was obnoxious , rude and hung up on me. Not recommended and avoid with a ten foot pole.

installers a hand to finish everything off. Was good to see he actually gets involved as he said he would when selling us the shed. We had a few small issues after we used the shed for a while and Luke came out personally to make the adjustments needed. Highly recommended and we are already in the planning process with Ranbuild for our stable area.

The engineering drawings that were meant to provided were never sent as he went on an extended holiday. Then to make the experience worse he took my money. Close to $60k and went overseas and turned his phone off! I contacted Barry - the manager of Ranbuild at head office and he couldnt care less. As the saying goes - the fish rots from the head down! He just kept saying “ its nothing to do with us”. Can you believe the manufacturer wiping their hands clean of their own shed that they manufacture?!

After paying all the money upfront. 4 weeks later I still had no shed. Eventually it came. Vital structural posts and parts missing! Doors missing! Delaying my build again by another month. The dealer had billed me for 25% more sheets and parts that were never required for this shed! Yes i paid for 25% MORE FOR MATERIALS than what the drawings and build actually needed! Do not use this shonky company.

in mid March and [Name Removed] offered to refund the full amount to me via bank transfer and then by cash. Despite numerous phone, text and email promises, he has failed to do either to date. I would not recommend South Coast Sheds and Garages to anyone.

Went get a quote for a shed, upon meeting the sales rep he asked about by name, and what my ethnic background is, when I told him he quickly said he was unable to help me....so I spent my $70k on a new shed from widespan

Spoke to the owner and he was understanding at first but then became very rude and abusive, started swearing over the phone, that he had no control over the driver, you can tell he didn't give a damn. not how it will be. The guy came and measured up. I showed him the picture of the double garage I wanted, all good, got a quote again. I've had the money all along and have been ready to go since August. The guy came and measured again, again I said I wanted the double door. He was suprised by this and said 'I thought you wanted the single door?' I said 'why would anyone want a single garage door on a double garage, out the front of their house?' I reminded him that I had shown him the picture of the garage I wanted. I had to go into the office twice this week (because for some reason phones aren't answered). I finally got another quote yesterday, and guess what? (Yes, you got it) it still had a single garage door. I emailed back ans said I had been asking for a double garage door for my double garage since August. I then got a quote for a double garage with two single doors ( still not what I wanted) at a much more expensive price. After emailing back again I finally got the quote for the double door, at a more expensive price. (I don't know why..this is what I've been asking for all along. Why do customers have to pay for their mistakes?) My God! If an organisation cannot tell the difference between a double door with a double garage door (pretty standard I would think) what chance do customers have of having the garage built correctly? I called one of the Ranbuilds in Sydney. Even they were suprised at how bad this was and suggested I try another one other than the local. Frustrating – The blokes who built the Shed did a fabulous job, however the communication from Ranbuild at Gosford was non existent. get another one off Ranbuild. Awful service. PS., after being told four times that they were " Expecting the Door any day now", it was fitted eventually but mind you, one of their employees let it slip, they had had the Door for about three weeks. They are dishonest and not to be trusted at all.

Don't expect any after service – Despite repeated requests to get some issues addressed all you get is buck passing. We still have a roller door that is wound crooked and slips emitting loud bangs. like it has been cut by a drunk. The entry door has already pulled out screws. The door handle is constantly getting loose and doesn't fit the oversize hole properly. Instead of using bolts to put the roller door tracks up, the use teck screws which have already come loose requiring me to use oversize replacements. Try to get someone from the company to address these problems. Not a hope, just buck pass, and take no responsibility for anything.

$13000 it then took 7 months to refund the money after we had done many emails, phone calls and a letter to Ranbuild head office. The first payment of $3000 we were told by head office if we wanted that back we would have to get it from the original dealer as it was his commission for the sale of the shed. Go to another shed builder you will get a better response I am sure.

Noisy roller door – I have had B&D roller door supplied and installed through a Ranbuild Franchisee, in Brisbane, however since installation in Oct 2022 the roller door repeatedly makes a horrific screeching noise. noise is not acceptable. The door has jammed today for the second time resulting in me having to support myself on my crutches to close the door. Quite embarrassing when the neighbours comment on your movements based on the noise of the door.

The buck and responsibility is passed between the door manufacturer (B&D), the supplier Ranbuild Franchisee and the installer.

So, for now while the back and forth and noise continues my neighbours will have to patient.

Great customer service – I was promised a great build and it has come to pass. The shed has been erected and even though I had to wait a bit it has been worth while. I am very happy with my shed, and I have enjoyed continuous contact with the managers at Ranbuild. They have met all of my expectations. Yes, I would use them again. John

Finally after threatening with going to the Ombudsman they finally get back to us, "Sorry I have been at a funeral" what for a month?! "I will be around Tuesday afternoon" NO SHOW!! We decide to get onto Ranbuild head office, "Send us some pictures", We did. They get back to us, basically saying it's not their problem, and we will have to contact the local supplier in Nowra, That's a complete waste of time. Shocking customer experience - avoid at all costs – This has been the worst customer experience I have ever encountered. workmanship, became completely aggressive when questioned, left an absolute mess I had to clean up at my cost, became aggressive and personal in replying to my text messages - now blocked me ! (Thought I was the customer) - Would never use these people again and totally regret not going with one of the oppositions quotes - the old saying, you get what you pay for !

time locally, we were told it would void the warranties even though the materials were coming from the same company. Every complaint we had was always “someone else’s fault / responsibility”. It was such a great example of local people going missing and “big corporate” not giving a stuff that the customer was unhappy. We cannot warn people enough, stay away from Ranbuild!

Avoid at all costs - save you time and money and go elsewhere – Ballarat Ranbuild - avoid them unless you want to spend weeks chasing them up with emails and phonecalls about damaged and missing materials. that in 7 days then good luck getting further parts delivered because it’s inferred that you have either taken it or someone else has. Lysaght delivered our materials, caused significant damage to flashings and other materials. My builder offered to go get new ones made up so we could continue our build to be told they wouldn’t reimburse us. Now have to wait a month for redelivery but builder could have got them in a few days. We are out of pocket about an extra $5000 because of their incompetence but - this is our “problem”. Don’t expect a call from management. They just won’t call you. Never have we experienced such poor customer service. So In our opinion- run.

need and are very hard to interpret( this is the worse part) unless you know about sheds it's so so confusing, nothing made sense, and I've put a couple of Stratco sheds together before.

Some of the parts are not cut to size or have no holes pre punched for fixings.

The pa door they sent me was the wrong width for the profile of sheeting. The plans shows the door being in the centre of the flat section of the profile but ended up being on the raised part of the profile so could not work, I had to get the door pulled apart ,cut down in width and re sheeted.

Stratco sheds have a specific set of plans for each shed , and all the parts are pre cut and holes punched ( you basically can't go wrong).

The experience has been nothing but frustrating and would not recommend Ranbuild unless you are are professional shed builder.
