Shed Bonanza

Not sure what's happening with Shed Bonanza at present; I ordered a replacement door for a shed and after months they informed me the suppliers aren't making it any longer. They hassled me to pay for the door and didn't deliver and install another shed i had paid for until I paid for this non-existent replacement door. Weird.

The sales team was so supportive and patient despite some unusual council related delays. They listened to our questions and were thorough and accommodating. Thank you Saba and David - most professional. Show reply

I’ll be honest, I’ve changed my mind more than a few times during this process, and Ash has updated my plans for me on multiple occasions without ever making me feel like I was being difficult. He has been extremely polite, patient, and genuinely helpful the entire time. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.

Building a shed for the first time can be overwhelming, but Ash made the whole experience feel easy and manageable. His communication has been clear, prompt, and honest from start to finish, and he’s been very understanding of my situation and requests.

If you’re thinking about building a shed, I absolutely recommend Shed Bonanza, and if you get the chance to deal with Ash, you’ll be in very good hands.

Process (★★★★★ - 5/5) This phase was genuinely excellent. Our sales representative, [Name Removed], was knowledgeable, patient, and extremely responsive. he walked us through every customization option, from foundation type to window placement, and provided clear and comprehensive documentation.

Clarity and Honesty: All costs were laid out upfront with no surprises.

Expert Advice: [Name Removed] helped us select the right size and features for our yard, offering practical suggestions we hadn't considered.

Communication: Scheduling the delivery was straightforward, and we received all necessary permits and pre-installation checklists promptly.

If this review were based solely on the pre-sale experience and customer service, it would be an easy 5-star rating.

The Installation Experience (★★☆☆☆ - 2/5) Unfortunately, once the process moved from the sales office to the build site, the quality dropped dramatically.

The shed delivery was on schedule but there was slight damage to all the wall and roof sheets due to unloading using slings on such heavy groups of sheets.

Communication issues: Dealing with the Technical Construction Coordinator was extremely frustrating. About 2 weeks after delivery of shed materials we were wondering when the install might begin. We reached out to the Technical Construction Coordinator to find a possible start date but there was just no communication from her at all. Eventually we had to call the CEO to find a possible start date. In the end the shed materials sat on the ground for nearly 2 months.

Lack of Professionalism: The installation crew seemed rushed and somewhat inexperienced, they asked for a progress payment after about 4 hours of work which I agreed to pay so I went to the bank to get some cash. I returned with the payment and gave it to them at 12:00pm and within 10 minutes they had packed up and gone (didn't tell us they were leaving). At this stage we were thinking that we had just been scammed. We had no idea if they were coming back the next day or not. It took them nearly one week later to return. this was a common thing only working 1 - 2 days a week. Overall it took them 4 weeks to install.

Final Inspection Issues: The finished shed failed the Certificate of Final Inspection due to the installers not following the building plans. All knee joins were not done properly, the mezzanine floor had to be completely re-installed. Not using the proper nuts and bolts stated by the plans.

Other Issues: Water leaks. Bent top hat. Vibrating flashing on slightly windy days. The rear PA door needs to be re-installed due to movement in knee joins causing out of square. Sloppy finishing around windows and wall ends. Unnecessary drill holes everywhere. Roof sheet damage from walking on during fixing. Over tightening of tech screws. Nuts and bolts left loose. Unlevel columns and beams.

Final Recommendation Shed Bonanza clearly builds a high-quality product, and their front-of-house staff are superb. However, they are significantly let down by their installation teams (I suspect they use outsourced subcontractors with minimal oversight).

To Management: Please invest in better training, stricter quality control checks, and mandatory site inspections for your installation crews. The stress and imperfections from the build process undercut the excellent service provided during the sale.

To Future Buyers: Buy the shed, but be prepared to be highly visible and vigilant during the installation process to ensure the crew completes the work correctly. Learn how to read the plans and make sure the installers follow them.

Had a great experience with Rumpy throughout the process from start of getting a quote until purchase the product. Explain well and it was an excellent experience working with him and Shed Bonanza group. Show reply

I have dealt with Saba for over 12 months as we investigated different shed designs and then had to navigate a difficult town planning application as it dragged through council. In all instances Saba responded to all my queries and always responded in a timely manner with a cheerful and respectful attitude. Had an absolutely terrible experience building our shed with this company. Would not recommend. We spent a lot of money on our shed and when we had issues with our roller door the company was quick to lay the blame on us. It took 12 months to finally get a replacement door but the whole experience left us feeling emotionally and mentally exhausted.

Terrible experience. We requested a new shed to match the existing sheds at our kinder, even providing a photo of the existing shed to quote off. the kinder and now they are saying we have to pay for a new one to have the roller door, or alternatively pay for sliding doors to replace the hinged door, but it is not safe to have sliding metal doors at the kinder. Now the kinder is out of pocket thousands for a shed that is near useless. We will never engage again or recommend Shed Bonanza to anyone. Disappointment is an understatement.

Shed Bonanza's building process would be the worst experence I have ever had. I bought a 6m x 6m 4 post carport. xmas with 600mm wide x 600mm deep holes left exposed over the Christmas break - not good with 2 x 2 year olds over for Christmas Day. An embarrassment. When the instal was started, I had to supervise as nearly every aspect was incorrectly measured.

Bad business = Bad experience.
