Stilla Cedar

Purchased the 8 x 4 Wattle Cedar Shed from Stilla and I am very happy with the design and quality of the shed. The shed arrived ahead of the promised time and the instructions were clear and easy to follow and quality of the cedar was excellent with all the parts well packaged and easy to identify (screws, nails and even a drill bit). We chose to pay for installation by others and honestly it was well worth the extra cost. While the entire studio is technically designed for confident DIYers, I think its best left to the professionals. James from Kitset Assembly Services was a pleasure to have on site and made all the hard work look easy.

We've chosen to line our studio with plasterboard so additional studs were required in the walls and ceiling but this was a simple process. The natural cedar finish blends beautifully into the garden and the monument trim matches our existing home perfectly.

I'd highly recommend Stilla studios for anyone looking for a professional finish and something a bit nicer than your average garden shed.

Constructing the shed was so easy and the instructions very helpful - evidenced by me being 62 and doing it solo without any issues. Very happy with the quality of the finished product. Highly recommended.

Stilla provided me with all of the answers to my questions prior to putting in my order . It arrived promptly and the pst purchase support was great. We knew when the kit was arriving and were given plenty of tips in the construction faze. The purchasing experiance was excellent, I was kept informed of the progress, right down to the delivery. Very impressed by the quality and design, so it went together really well. together over 4 weekends. We had delays with the weather due to a lot of rain but could use space in garage to paint pieces while waiting for weather to clear. I am so happy with the final result and it is more than I expected. I really love the feel of the cabin and since getting the power on, I have started working on some overdue sewing projects. Purchasing the Hyland was such an easy process. Installers were great human beings with attention to detail. Priming in and out, flooring and it turned into a gorgeous art studio. What really stood out to me was the same-day installation done by Ali. There was an installation delay of one week by the installer from the actual date which was the only hickup on otherwise a seemless process. I truly appreciate how hassle-free the whole experience was!

The quality of the shed is outstanding. The materials feel solid and well-made, and now that it’s fully installed, it’s clear the structure is built to last.

By day, it’s my zen home office… by evening, a chill coffee corner, family fun space… and by night? Let’s just say the shed knows how to party!

required auger drill bit was included – a thoughtful and unexpected addition.

Installation was a genuine pleasure and took place over three weekends. The kit itself was one of the most enjoyable I’ve assembled, with precise components and clearly detailed instructions. The quality of materials and construction was outstanding throughout.

For a more refined look and enhanced functionality, I replaced the provided handle and lock with a Euro-style privacy set, allowing the studio to be locked from the inside. Once painted using an oil-based primer followed by acrylic undercoat and topcoat (see attached photo), the structure looked superb.

Internally, we are in the process of fitting out the space with wall and ceiling linings, electrical work, and a compact air conditioner. Landscaping around the studio will follow soon.

My wife, a practising artist, is thrilled with her new workspace. The additional window we purchased has made a significant difference, providing excellent natural lighting for her creative work. Highly recommended.

I have a whole new room! – We bought an Ascot 12x8 and the heavy duty floor and self assembled. Buying this kit made it super easy and fast to get a ready-to-go building to then customise. frame, insulated, plastered, lined the ceiling then tiled and added a few cabinets and a fridge after having an electrician run power to it. It will serve as an outdoor room for the kids and grownups to hang out away from the house. The extra space is a game changer and DIY customisation of the already excellent shed made the whole process way faster and easier than designing and building something from scratch. Not to mention that due to it's size, when placed correctly on the property, I didn't need a council permit where I live.

The team were super helpful in ordering, even when I changed my mind and added stuff after I ordered, and they took care of me afterwards getting some bits and pieces out to me fast when I damaged one by mistake (my fault!).

We purchased the Maple 12 x 6 shed. As seen in the attached photo we used it as part of our pool fence to add some privacy to our pool. It houses our pool pump, other pool equipment and pool toys. Great communication with very helpful staff answering questions in a timely manner. I can see many uses for this shed and others available by Stilla and would not hesitate in purchasing another if we ever have the need.

Whole process has been brilliant - from ordering, the delivery, and building it myself. I'd call myself a "weekend warrior" - no tradesman, but I found the installation easy to follow. garden shed on a slab, we now have a beautiful home office :)

One tip is to make sure you silicone the joins between panels thoroughly as this has been my only water entry (I siliconed the bottom of the panels to the slab and no leaks here). Contacted Stilla to get some new cover strips and they were so helpful.

Stained with the Integrain UltraDeck Timber stain, painted the windows/doors Surfmist to match the roof.

Very happy with the shed, it is a lot better quality and has greater strength than i thought it would. I very much recommend that anyone needing space this is by far the best option. Very happy customer Show 2 replies

Stilla Olive Studio – We bought an Olive Studio and are very pleased with the result. Delivery was within the timeframe stated and assembly was relatively easy. The roof was the only tricky bit simply because of the weight of each section. The key to a good build result is to ensure you get the foundations absolutely square (we had a heavy duty floor), even 1 or 2mm out will mean everything else gets out of line and you'll have to make minor modifications. Show reply
