Rapid Tune Langwarrin - Very Poor Customer Service and Complete Rip Off
Took car in for a vehicle inspection to obtain a road worthy certificate. I was initially told they needed it for the whole day so made sure it was dropped off first thing in the morning. They called me at the end of the day (Friday) to say it failed the inspection and needed the following:
1. Headlight covers to be polished
2. Brake fluid replaced
3. Rubber grip on brake pedal replaced
4. Rocker cover gasket replaced
They said they could fix these things then have it re-inspected and it should be ready to pick up on the following Wednesday. ...After no communication on the Wednesday I called on Thursday morning to find out what was going on and the apprentice said someone would call me back to update me. Nobody called me back. The following morning I again called only to have the apprentice answer the phone with the same story. I followed up with several calls throughout that day but it just went to voice mail. What kind of business doesn't answer the phone during business hours?
Rapid Tune Derrimut
I was recommended Rapid Tune Derrimut from a family member and I can say that they were/are fantastic. The service was great, They are very friendly, professional, down to earth guys who work with you to get you back on the road. They kept me up to date with progress of repairs and I found the price to be reasonable for the amount of work done (which was a lot) Give them a try.
Rapid Tune - a total rip off
Beware – Rapid tune, Airport West – a Total Rip off
I purchased a Service Voucher for $179 from a sales person who hawks around the Airport West Car Park. The Voucher for $179 stated 3 Free General Service worth $447, Plus 1 Free Engine Flush worth $66 and 1 Free Front or Rear Brake Pad Replacement worth $127. Sounded too good to be true and thought I would give it a try........... that was my biggest mistake.
Having a Mazda 3 car which was almost 4 year old and in immaculate condition, my First Service with Rapid Tune cost me $1200. A...sh, I believe the owner pointed out a few defects on my car and persisted I have them replaced as it would be too dangerous. Reluctantly, I agreed to it and was later shocked to receive a big bill of $1200. I changed One Rear Brake Pad, 4 Tyres and general servicing cost. 4 Tyres cost me $225 each which was a local brand. I later checked Tyres from Bridgestone, it would have cost $140.99 each. So it was a rip off from Rapid Tune on the Tyres. The Brake Pad cost me $200, on checking with other Servicing Centres, it would have cost me only $110, again a rip off by Rapid Tune. To regain my trust, they offered me a discount card of $150 and asked me to use it in their next service. I did a second service with Rapid Tune thinking I could get a free service this time as there wouldn't be issues, again they ripped me off with a $279 bill. I tried using their discount card of $110 to offset the bill, but they wouldn't accept it for some reason as stated on their contract clause and were quite rude. I vowed never again to approach this doggy service centre and have forgone the 3rd free service. I have decided to go back to Mazda Car Dealer Service as they are frank and open with their charges and would give a prior indication of what is required to be replaced for the forthcoming service. I would trust Mazda Car Dealership anytime.
Rapid Tune East Brisbane
Joel and the boys at Rapid Tune East Brisbane are fantastic, took my Pajero in with a low cost but difficult to fix problem and it was fixed to perfection, parts were hard to source but the job was still turned around quickly.
Too expensive. Fake vip voucher
I bought a vip card voucher for $179 from Rapid tune which includes 3 basic services free. But when I went for servicing they said additional $79 for oil change. The sales girl hide this when she sold the voucher. They charged $260 for changing spark plug too which is too expensive
Don't buy their vip voucher any more and their cost is too expensive
Terrrible customer service and slow service
I needed new wheel bearings and it took them over a week to do so. No customer service, we had to ring them for updates daily and they used excuses continually and blamed other companies. The excuses ranged from we got the wrong part and it only fitted on one side, then next oh we couldn't do it so it has been sent it off site then the next day the car was back but it was again oh got the wrong part from both Repco & Bursons(bearing in mind it was supposedly done off site the day before) next it was due to the corona virus we are behind , ...then it was oh we are getting you a genuine ford part and they didnt deliver!!! Finally, we had vouchers we had bought previously and was told we couldnt use more than one voucher at a time!!! I think not as there is no way I would use their service again, we had used in the past and they were fine. But was terrible to see how they blamed everyone else and couldnt even have the courtesy of letting us know we had to chase them. The car runs nicely now
Excellent service - Appropriate social distancing
Staff at Langwarrin Rapid Tune fixed my indicator light again without charge.
Senior mechanic David was professional and caring.
Re: Coronavirus. Workshop approach to social distancing and other measures was reassuring & appropriate.
Pathetic service, customer dealing (Epping branch)
I went for my car inspection to Rapid tune Epping and found Pathetic customer service. My car was not washed when I reached and they were telling me a lie that the car has been washed. People, please be aware of the rapid tune Epping branch. They don't know how to deal with a customer. I paid 340 for an oil change, transmission oil, etc but did not rely on them whether they have change it or not. If they can lie on car wash they can lie on anything. Please beware of their voucher thing as well. I was trapped in that's why I went to them. Pathetic customer service they have.
I have booked online and over the phone but they just didn't care about it.
I have booked for rwc online and over the phone and when I come to the day which I should do it, I found there is no booking and I have to wait week and I don't have time I need to get the rwc as soon as possible. This is ridiculous how they come with excuses they don't care about the customer they just running their business as they told me. This is with Hallam branch.

Rapid Tune VIP Voucher is absolutely Terrible
This is not about the RapidTune service quality as didn't experienced, But its all about the voucher which is Dozzy and absolutely cheating. I am writing just to make people to be aware of this - read and then sign.
I bought a RapidTune's Loyalty VIP voucher for 3 'free' car general services and paid $179 for that. According to a list on the card, I would receive a 'Total Savings of $974' as a 'VIP' customer on 9 items. The lady sold it to me on a car park and described wrongly without telling me the actual facts. After getting the payment sh...e made me to sign the tick boxes and promised to get refund if i dont like it in future, just by calling their head office number mentioned in the card. But when I called them to make the first appointment, I realised that I will have to pay a minimum extra cost of $79 just for an oil change and possibly much more for any other defects. I believe the oil change is a very basic part of any car general service. I called RapidTune's customer service on 03 9425 9444 for an explanation/refund and they promised to call me back, They called me back and explained i have signed and ticked, so they are unable to make any refund. Be very careful with the RapidTune's terms mentioned in 'How To Use Your Certificate' on their Loyalty Certificate. At the time of buying the card, I didn't pay attention to this section which is apparently where they justify all of their hidden/extra costs and dodgy charges. This is definitely like a scam to me.
Airport West RapidTune excellent service
Recently had my car serviced at Airport West RapidTune and would highly recommend Ash's service to others. He took the time to explain everything to me. It was a friendly and professional garage. Easy to find, and had the convenience of being able to book a loan car.
Rapid Tune Pakenham
The guys at Pakenham were terrific. They were up front about costs and let me know about things that I would need to do in the future without making me feel that I had to spend way above my budget. I will be back and would recommend them to anyone.
Questions & Answers
My son took his Jeep to Rapid tune for a road worthy which they did. Before this the car never broke down> Since the road worth it has had the Alternator stuffed up then after getting that fixed it broke down again now they say it is the ECU. Is this all just a coincident or something else.
