I am a tradie and work the graveyard shift, so at 7am I am extremely tired and obviously not thinking properly, these guys took me for $3193.35 for 1 pressure valve, 4 x isolation valves and 2 x elbows plus about 3.5 hours work (time padded out is was actually less, I have cameras so timed it)… that’s very very pricy! after materials!!! I originally just wanted 2 elbows and 1 isolation valve replacing, their pushy sales and non itemised invoice certainly changed that… Nothing wrong with their work, just 3 stars for the price and pushiness… Not good value for money! They were also trying to say that my hot water system is at the end of its life (I am a Sparkie so know it’s fine), tried to push their way to checking every tap fitting even though I was very clear what I wanted them to do… I didn’t want them in my house but they were so pushy they ended up in my living room!
Absolute scammers. They are salesmen and not plumbers. Will try to make you sign up for a monthly subscription, yes that’s right pay a Netflix monthly fee for nothing. The issue was a blocked drain. salesman, didn’t reconnect the pipes correctly. They used MY TOWELS to clean up!!! Yes they asked for towels to do THEIR job!!!! I had to throw the towels out afterwards. As such was left in a worse state than before with flooded kitchen and now I am suffering. There was previously no leak but the salesman plumber created one and left filth and grime on the floor. Not only will they try to scam you into a monthly subscription but they will constantly tell you that the price should be more but you are getting it for the cheap quoted price. Two of their plumbers (salesmen) read off this same script to me. $4000 to replace a toilet with nothing wrong with it and $12,000 to actually fix the blocked drain. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS! Especially if you are a pensioner and they scam you into a monthly subscription for nothing. They will pretend to be an owner operator and leave a note in your letterbox saying they are in your area but they are just a sales scam!

Job number 58467 was a challenging water leakage under the house which does not have underground access. Reactive were very responsive in locating and repairing the leak. Quite a few plumbers worked here and all were professional and communicative. Also appreciated how clean the area was when completed. Only one for thing to do in place a new tile in the kitchen. Follow-up · Very happy with job starting and finishing. Although 2 people on the job would have been better as one plumber was under the pump all day and took longer than expected. Cannot fault the cleanup, wez was very tidy as he went , and was explained to regarding all new fittings and maintenance. Was advised of outside fittings for taps and so very grateful of the ones wez chose for us .

performed and actually running a load of washing now. Recommend Reactive Plumbing called Tuesday, problem fixed Friday. Immediate fix was not necessary, was happy to wait till Friday.
Follow-up · I am very pleased with the service l received. I was given options, so l could choose what l could afford and at the same time solved the plumbing problem. It was explained to me what each choice involved work wise. The area was left clean and l haven't needed to call him back. I would not hesitate to call them for future plumbing requirements.

until my dr wanted to see me at the same time of my booking but your company bent over backwards to still fit me in that day. Maddy the plumber was amazing so lovely to deal with and didn’t even charge me to come find out what the problem was which blew me away … I recommend this company on so many levels it’s a breath of fresh air dealing with a company offering so much customer care

detail what our options were and the basic differences between the three water heaters. He also inserted a fiber optic camera, or fiberscope, to check everything in the main drains, installed by Reactive Plumbing a fair few years ago. Very impressive young man. We would like to take this opportunity to also thank their electrician, Peter, who worked with Jackson regarding the connections, etc. for the new hot water unit and explained timings etc very thoroughly. We would not hesitate to recommend Reactive Plumbing especially Jackson, for any plumbing works based on his incredible knowledge and expertise. Our thanks also to young Matthew for cleaning our S traps for the kitchen sink and our two hand basins thoroughly and offering graciously any help he could give to put things back in place. Very impressed with their service and very appreciative. Excellent job! Would recommend them without any hesitation.
Warning: deceptive business practices and exorbitant $880/hr fees! I had a blocked sewer drain and they organised to come out a few days later in business hours. The plumber came out, took a look and said he would try to plunge it which works in 5% of cases which is $150, if that fails, they will use the hydro jet which works in the other 95% of cases. He quoted $880 which is a lot but he assured me he would get it sorted. I reluctantly went ahead assuming they would be true to their word and get the job done. He worked for 1.5 hours or so and said unfortunately the drain was still blocked and I'd need to pay another $880/hr for extra hydro jetting and they might have to potentially send a root cutter down. Also, that if anything got stuck they would want to retrieve their equipment and that either I could dig it up (if I wanted to save) or they could dig it up (assuming they would charge me for this also).
I found this to be deceptive / unethical and left me feeling extremely uneasy - I declined any additional work due to the cost and told him that other companies usually charge $150/hr for any additional work after the first hour. He told me that once they got on site they would definitely charge more and justified the cost to the quality of their workmanship and experience which is what you’re paying for.
I hired another company the next day, they sent 3 guys out and it was $300 for the initial hydro jetting hour and $150/hr after that. They managed to sort it all out under 2 hours and when I told them the story they couldn’t believe it. Especially how they were going to charge me $880/hr and potentially charge to recover their equipment with no guarantee or accountability. He said it was a tricky job but needed someone with the right experience that had the right jetting heads. He doubted the guy from Reactive would have been able to sort it out given what I explained and his choice of equipment.
I know its hard to quote on any job, but if they had been upfront and said we’re charging hourly for this and its $880/hr - this could be done in an hour but might take 2 or 3 or 4 depending on what we find, then you clearly wouldn’t go with them. I don’t know any professional or trade that charges anywhere near this.
I reached out to them to discuss it and they said they were sorry I felt that way and that a manager would be in touch but I haven’t heard anything. The thing is, this isn’t a feeling - it’s a fact. They are severely overcharging. I looked it up online after and it says $880/hr isn't fair or reasonable even for emergency rates (which this wasn’t) and is 5-10x the Aus average plumbing price. I then dove into their reviews and it’s clear that other people have been bitten by them - even a veteran who’s paying off his bill in instalments.
I would avoid them at all costs and run with a company that lists their prices upfront so you know what you’re paying.

paint by Finn and I decided that I would dig down to the blockage to see if I could remove the blockage . After digging for a short while. I found an inspection point and managed to get the lid off and after some time managed to release the blockage, the blockage appeared to be some substance chalk like possibly rubbish wash down the sewer after the builders had completed tiling and plastering. Overall I am pleased with the service however to give you some negative feedback. I must say that I was a little disappointed that I did not receive the advertised discount of $35. this was due to terms and conditions which were not explained on the advertisement which was a fridge magnet sent through the post other than that I’m 100% pleased with the works done.
