Follow-up · My move was from Cairns to Sydney, so 2600kms as part of backloading. I had several antique pieces of furniture, 5 musical instruments and other personal treasures. All arrived intact, service with a smile on collection and delivery ....and very helpful admin staff., I was pleaseantly surprised at the cost. Frankly I was a bit hestitant using backloading, but I could not have asked for better outcome.

Follow-up · It took around 7 hours to move everything. Yes, there were alot of fragile items and out of all the boxes I had, only one item had broken. I packed everything myself, but the guys did an excellent job by wrapping everything up in blankets to protect it all. They did an amazing work☺️ Sorry I don't have photos, Bruno took alot photos before moving my stuff....

I provided to them. It arrived in Armadale with the battery completely dead.
Their response? A copy-paste denial. They listed every possible reason a battery could discharge in transit — inactivity, temperature, electrical draw, "internal faults" — without addressing a single one of them in relation to MY bike. No answer on how long it was in storage. No answer on whether the negative terminal was disconnected (standard industry practice). No accountability whatsoever. Their entire defence was "no visible damage on delivery," as if a dead electrical system doesn't count. They have left the key turned on during transit which has drained the battery completely drained, making the battery dead. I have paid fair amounts of 1800 dollars for the service and this is how disappointing and frustrating it seems.
This is exactly the kind of customer service that gives the removalist industry a bad name. You hand over a working vehicle, you expect a working vehicle back. When something goes wrong, you expect the company to investigate — not to immediately deflect.
I will be pursuing this further through Consumer Protection WA and the Office of Fair Trading. In the meantime, if you value your vehicle and your sanity, choose literally anyone else.

finish. They took real care with all of our belongings and packed the truck as tightly and efficiently as possible to fit in as much as they could. When it came time to unload, not a single item was damaged — which says a lot given the size and complexity of the move!
The standout moment of the day was getting our three-seater sofa into the master bedroom on the second floor. The stairs were too narrow, so Felipe and Wesley came up with a creative solution and got it up safely through a window opening — no damage to the couch, no damage to the property, and nobody got hurt. Great problem solving under pressure.
Felipe in particular brought incredible energy and optimism throughout the entire day, even after what turned into a 13+ hour shift. That attitude makes a real difference on a stressful moving day.
The one area we'd flag for improvement is the booking and logistics side. We called ahead and specifically requested the largest van available, but the vehicle sent wasn't big enough for our move. A 75m2 rather than a 50m2 would have been more suitable for our move. We did try to flag this multiple operations and support staff before moving day. Because of the vehicle not being big enough, the job ran longer than expected and since we were paying by the hour, that added up. We also had to make an additional trip ourselves back to Brisbane to collect what didn't fit. Felipe and Wesley did everything they could to make it work, so this is no reflection on them at all — it comes down to the pre-move assessment and vehicle allocation needing more accuracy.

Junior then attended our home to assess and quote the job. He was friendly, efficient, and very easy to deal with. The quote was delivered promptly and was highly competitive compared to others we received—some of which were miles apart.
On packing day, Angel and Dennis were nothing short of impressive. They packed the container like Tetris on steroids—methodical, precise, and incredibly efficient. Both were friendly, professional, and clearly very experienced.
Our belongings arrived in Melbourne ahead of schedule, completely undamaged, and everything accounted for—always a huge relief with a move of this scale.
Delivery was handled by Shane and his family, an affiliate of Ready Movers, and they were just as impressive. Friendly, careful, and professional—exactly as promised.
With so many moving parts involved in a long-distance relocation, Ready Movers made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free.
