On October the 29th 2017 Amart Sports underwent a merge with Rebel Sports.
Very disappointing customer service. I placed an order for lifting straps but received the wrong item. I emailed Rebel Customer Care on 21 August with my order details and invoice and waited over a week without receiving any response. I contacted them through webchat on 29 August and was told they could only see emails from the last two days.… Read more
When I asked if that meant I would never have received a response if I hadn’t contacted them again, I was told yes.
Receiving the wrong item can happen, but having to chase Customer Care after waiting more than a week with no response is very disappointing.
Very Disappointing Shopping Experience Terrible shopping experience. I placed an order online, but the item was never sent, and there was no explanation or notification from the company. frustrating to have to repeatedly follow up on an order that should have been handled properly in the first place. Customers should not have to chase a company for basic updates about their purchases.
Overall, very poor service and a very disappointing experience. I would think twice before ordering from this company again.
Rebel sport price match is A "Guarantee" Built on Deceit – Avoid! Rebel Sport’s price match guarantee is nothing more than a scamming marketing trick designed to con you into the store. They have absolutely no intention of honoring it. Instead, they train their staff to act like retail lawyers, micro-analysing items down to the stitch just to find… Read more
a pathetic loophole to reject a fair deal. If a competitor has a genuine sale, Rebel will falsely claim it is "clearance," or they will aggressively pad the price with hypothetical shipping fees to wipe out your savings. The entire process is an exhausting runaround of rolled eyes and manager approvals meant to break your patience until you give up. It is absolutely shameful that a major retailer uses confidence-guarantee branding while actively weaponising fine print to dodge fair competition. Do not waste your time with their fake policy and buy directly from the cheaper competitor. Their "rebel Active" loyalty program is an absolute load of rubbish. According to the terms and conditions, your hard-earned points are slapped with a strict, aggressive six-month expiry window. It is an insulting joke of a system designed to look rewarding while quietly wiping out your balance before you even have a chance to plan your next seasonal shop. Instead of building real customer loyalty, it just feels like another cheap, manipulative trick to force you into rushed purchases under the threat of losing what you already paid for. Spend your money elsewhere!!

Avoid Rebel Online – Absolute Joke I ordered 3 pairs of shoes online. Only one arrived correctly. The other two boxes literally only contained a single shoe each. The packaging was a mess, looking like someone’s shoved-aside returns. Trying to get it fixed was a nightmare. I waited on the phone for 30 minutes with no answer, then spent another… Read more
20 minutes waiting for live chat. The chat agent was painfully slow, completely missed the point, and couldn't understand the issue even after multiple explanations.
In the end, I had to drive to the Blacktown store just to sort out their online mess. Absolute lack of care, terrible packaging, and useless customer service. How is a major retailer running a business like this?
My water bottle arrived with the wrong colour lid which wasn't what I'd ordered. You'd think I could just swap lids, right? Wrong. It's been two weeks and I'm still trying to sort it out with their customer 'service' department. They can't even tell me if they have the right one in stock or not. Absolutely unacceptable experience. My product was ordered on December 1st, with expected delivery of two weeks by an international partner. I never received it. cancelled and could not be fulfilled.
What makes this even more frustrating is that the exact same item remained available for purchase on their website, which is confusing and inconsistent.
As a result, my child did not receive their Christmas present. Being given a $200 store voucher and having it referred to as a “courtesy refund” is frankly a joke. I didn’t cancel my order, and a voucher is not a refund, especially when Rebel has already demonstrated they cannot fulfil what I wanted, and I have no desire to purchase anything else from them.
Under Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to a refund when goods cannot be supplied within a reasonable time. Store credit cannot be imposed in place of a refund.
This experience has completely eroded my trust. I would rather support a locally owned sports store than deal with this again.
Be very cautious ordering from this store online!!! I made an order 2 weeks ago, money taken from my account, but I can’t find any information about when the product will be delivered. heart rate. We bought it home and downloaded the app, but it wouldn’t work. I googled the issue and it said it was not compatible with iPhones. Once we realised this error, I phoned the store and spoke to the store manager. He informed me that we could not return the item to get a refund and that we should read the terms and conditions on the receipt. At no stage were we informed that this would not work with an iPhone. He also informed me there is no refund on electronics once they’ve been opened. This was not explained at checkout either. So 2 aged pensioners have just thrown away $150. Possibly the worst ever delivery experience ! Ordered a product on Monday evening and paid for delivery- website advised delivery Thursday or Friday. Extremely disappointing experience Extremely disappointing experience, and I would strongly recommend never purchasing their products. customer service; contractor management; logistics; communication; accountability; and operational oversight.
On 27 April 2026, I purchased a NordicTrack treadmill through Rebel Sport for approximately $2,000, including additional payment for “professional delivery and installation”.
I paid extra specifically to avoid problems and expected a premium experience from what presents itself as a premium international fitness brand.
Instead, this became one of the most frustrating and unprofessional consumer experiences I have ever encountered.
The original treadmill was delivered within two days. Unfortunately, everything went wrong the moment the installers arrived.
Despite having:
a fully prepared garage; commercial-grade gym matting installed; a clearly marked installation area; and plenty of indoor workspace available,
the installers attempted to unpack and assemble the treadmill outside in drizzling rain on a rough pebbled driveway.
I personally watched the installer aggressively cut packaging while rushing the assembly process, scratching and damaging the treadmill before it had even been properly installed. The treadmill was damaged through to the metal on day one.
From there, the situation spiralled completely out of control. After immediately reporting the damage and requesting replacement of the machine, I dealt with:
failed pickups; no-shows; repeated delivery failures; last-minute texts; contractors with no idea what was happening; zero communication; and having to personally chase every stage myself.
One pickup booking resulted in me taking an entire day off work waiting at home for nobody to arrive.
Another time, I received a random message saying installers were on their way after I had already travelled hours away for work, forcing me into multiple phone calls trying to stop a delivery nobody had properly coordinated.
Consumers are sold the NordicTrack brand as a premium, professionally managed fitness company. In reality, what I experienced was a complete inability to manage:
contractors; delivery coordination; customer communication; escalations; logistics; and accountability.
After the original treadmill was damaged, I was encouraged to purchase a second upgraded treadmill directly through NordicTrack/iFIT to supposedly ensure the issue would finally be handled correctly.
Trusting those assurances, I paid another $1,999 directly through NordicTrack/iFIT before even receiving a refund for the original treadmill.
That left me almost $4,000 out of pocket while still not having a working treadmill. No refunds have been received to date. I was told the replacement process would now be handled professionally.
Instead, communication became even worse.
Once again, I had to personally chase up third-party contractors just to find out whether the treadmill was even arriving. Only after repeated follow-ups did I receive a vague text message from somebody “texting on behalf” of a contractor saying they would receive the treadmill “sometime this week” and asking whether installation could happen the following month on 3 June.
To put this into perspective: the original treadmill purchased on 27 April was delivered within two days; the replacement treadmill purchased directly through NordicTrack/iFIT on 20 May was supposedly being installed on 3 June; and from the original order date through to the proposed installation date, the total timeframe would have been 37 days just to successfully supply and install a treadmill.
Thirty-seven days, for a treadmill.
Meanwhile, I:
lost consulting income; took multiple periods away from work; spent countless hours dealing with emails, phone calls, reports, photos, and follow-ups; and was left without equipment I use daily while working from home.
There was:
no urgency; no accountability; no communication; no coordination; and no ownership of the issue.
Eventually, after reaching breaking point, I formally cancelled the order and requested a full refund because I had completely lost confidence in the NordicTrack brand and the iFIT operation in Australia.
I am now commencing legal action. A formal Letter of Demand has been drawn up relating to:contractor negligence; repeated delivery failures; financial loss; lost wages and consulting income; excessive delays; communication failures; and breaches of Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees.
