Explodes – Used the device, thoroughly read the instructions. No where did it read about not clipping the 2 clips together. We were cooking an omelet and the thing exploded. Very disappointied there were no advises any where about clicking the 2 sides together Show details

Peeling and flaking – I love this little skillet so much. Unfortunately, the copper surface inside is peeling off. I’m so disappointed! Other than that, I would recommend highly, I’m debating whether I should purchase another one.  Show details

Rubbish – Another rubbish product. Tried cooking eggs but they stuck to the surface. I even smeared it with butter beforehand. Save your money. Don't bother with this product. Their promo is very misleading. I have a pie maker and it's a lot better than this junk. Used it once and it's just going to connect dust in a corner somewhere. Buyer beware.  Show details

Love this 5-minute chef. Great for cooking meals for one person – This is so easy to use. I have done bacon & eggs, not scrambled either. Potatoe fritters, chicken patties are frozen. meatballs or rissoles. Omelette as well. still trying new items all the time. So glad I bought this item. Show details

Very useful cooker – I purchased my Red Copper cooker some months ago and have made omelettes, fried eggs, cooked onions&mushrooms together, also bacon strips with eggs. Very satisfied with taste and I just love how easy it is to clean. As I live on my own I find it is great when I want to knock up something really quickly. I purchased my R.C. cooker from Global Shop Direct. Show details

Great for singles/seniors – Great when cooking for one, have made omelets, scrambled eggs. Cooked vegetables, chicken tenders, bacon and sausages in the Red Copper. I brush with oil sometimes to stop the food sticking as the little grooves are sometimes hard to clean. The only negative is that the appliance could be a little deeper, i.e. all eggs are not equal and spill… Read more

over can be a problem, and some pieces of chicken, fish or veg are a a squease, but if you don't push the limits it is a great little time and utensil saving machine.

5 minute copper chef – I do not recommend this product because i find it dangerous as mine has melted the metal on both sides of the casing. I think it has even been discontinued. I would like to say that on informing ebay they must of thought i wanted a freebee replacement but they were wrong i was just telling them, so it could help others. As they said its out of the return time which i knew. Show details

Quick cooking for a tasty meal – I use the product for omelets, steaks, onions, hamburger mince and find it cooks quickly and the food tastes great. It is easy to clean by wiping with a damp paper towel. I would recommend it to anyone who is not cooking for more than two people. Show details

BURNT OUT – we used this tonight and it burnt out . The plastic melted onto the work top and has left a large burn mark. Luckly we were then when it happened. Now need a new work top so beware when you use this . I am reporting it to Trading Standards as we have only used it 10 times Show details

Disappointed – I was thrilled to be given a 5 minute chef as a birthday gift and at first it was wonderful although I found that locking the machine whilst cooking caused pressure build up. After 3 or 4 uses following product cleaning instructions I now find everything sticks. Cleaning is very tedious so now very disappointed with my machine. Show details

Blew up! – Bought today, used it once to make an omelet for myself for dinner. When hubby came home from work i went to make him an omelet too and sparks flew and it tripped my safety switch. Now its dead. Wouldnt buy another and wouldnt recommend it. Have seen lots of reviews stating the same thing but thought after being 12 months on the market they would have fixed this by now Show details

Great at cooking - a little small, and a little hard to clean – I wasn't sure how this thing would go, but after trying it I am hooked. It cooks pretty much anything you would normally fry in a pan. I have cooked steaks, sausages, eggs, and omelettes so far, and they have all worked a treat. The only things I would say against it is that cleaning is a bit of a pain, some of the grooves require a little bit of… Read more

elbow grease (no, baked on things dont just wipe off like in the ad!!!), and it is quite small. For an omelette, don't do anything more than three eggs or it is going to start taking over the world. And make sure your steak is thin, and long. Mine were about 7 inches long, 3 inches wide, and about 2 inches thick (about). It cooked them perfectly on both sides at the same time! Great little buy, especially if you are going to take it camping. I would suggest getting a couple of them.

This item is very dangerous – Used it the first time to make an omelette it was ok but the second time to make an omelette both sides of the 5 minute chef melted through. Could have a potential to cause a fire. Complained and was offered a part refund as it deemed to be secondhand. Show details

This product is no good – I got this cooper pro for Christmas. It good for eggs and useless for pork chops or steak. Now all the coating is coming off. I have not used it that long as I have been overseas. I just wipe it of with a soft clothes and all the coating has come off. There is no guarantee with it. Please advise me as I think there must be a fault in it. Would not recommend it to anyone. Show details

First class easy to use – I am an older person, only had it 3 weeks, so good for omelette the quickest and fluffy I have ever made ,also scrambled eggs the same follow the instructions and your set. Just wipe it out; I added some left over chicken to my omelette, use each day. And sausages to die for , don’t use the lock , just close the lid. Thanks Red copper. Mike Show details

Quick and Easy – My new favourite kitchen appliance! I have only made omelettes in it, but it’s definitely worth it just for the omelettes. They come out light and fluffy. I add chopped ham and grated cheese and it makes an easy breakfast or light meal. It’s compact, quick and easy to clean. Definitely would recommend it, it’s not just a gimmicky product. Show details

Convenient, easy to clean – I received this for Christmas and have never used one before. I made the best omelette ever in it. It’s compact, cooks quickly and very easy to use. You can cook so many things in this. For the two of us it’s the perfect size. If I found a bigger one I’d buy it aswell.  Show details ·  1

I love this product. It is quick and the taste great just like in a fry pan but healthier. Easy to – I would recommend this product as it is quick, clean and the taste is great. To clean this product you just have to wipe it clean with a cloth, as it is Teflon coated. I would recommend this product without any hesitation and the price is reasonable. A Great gift.  Show details

Too hard to clean; burns food – I was given this as a gift several months ago. At first I was very pleased with the results but now it seems the element is overheating. The top and bottom of the omlette stick to the non stick coating and burn. It is impossible to remove the omlette without breaking it up, and it is messy and time consuming to clean the appliance. used abrasive cleaners. Several weeks ago, before I started experiencing problems with the "Red Copper", I bought a "5 Minute Chef" so I could cook two omlettes at the same time. The 5 Minute Chef takes longer to cook the omlette and there is no sticking. It remains to be seen if this unit is consistent.

Great – Love using this. Times do vary for what you put in it to cook., But I still think it’s great. Glad I got it. I use it for burger patties. For a quick meal. Catches all the fat off the meat. Doesn’t take much room at all. Easy to clean.  Show details

Ideal for cooking for one or two. Very easy to use and monitor progress of cooking. Quick clean up – Omelettes, steak, sausages, fish, eggs, chips(non greasy) hash browns, chicken burgers, chicken breasts and stir fry veges. All without unhealthy fat. The taste of the food cooked is more palatable and food can be kept warm even when the Chef is turned off. There is no food spatter and the Chef takes up very little space in use and for storing.  Show details
