Cleared up my dermatitis reaction after a tattoo within a few days when steroid creams had made it worse – I've grown up using Sorbolene. My parents used to use it on us instead of soap when we were kids since we had sensitive skin. When I had my first tattoo on the back of my neck earlier this year, it irritated the skin and caused awful thick crusty dermatitis all over the back of my neck. I used steroid cream to try and help but it kept getting… Read more

worse. I showed my doctor and they suggested it was an allergic reaction to the tattoo ink and me a prescription for even stronger steroids that didn't help either.

Eventually I decided to wash off all the steroids and just wash with clear water then put a layer of sorbolene on. And it WORKED. Within a couple of days the dermatitis was completely gone.

Now I've decided to use it as my go-to facial moisturizer as well, since I had some scaly feeling skin around my nose. It's been a couple of weeks and my skin is clearer than it's ever been.

You don't need an expensive skincare routine! Sometimes simple is best.

This is NOT a moisturiser!!! – This is barrier cream NOT moisturiser, it mainly contains Glycerin and Mineral Oil both of which have dubious long term benefits and if anything tests show that it can promote aging, cause skin to stop protecting itself as well as other problems. I have unknowingly bought Sorbolene for a long time but I know fully well Vaseline is bad for the skin… Read more

and after reading the ingredients list with it's similarities I will not be buying it again.

Quotes from another website;

Mineral Oil, Paraffin, and Petrolatum These petroleum products coat the skin like plastic clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins. They can slow cellular development, creating earlier signs of ageing. They’re implicated as a cause of eczema and a suspected cause of cancer. Plus, they can disrupt hormonal activity.

Propylene glycol Whilst it may work there is certainly data showing that among other concerns, including cancer, the usage of Propylene Glycol on your skin is a potentially serious skin irritant. It may inhibit skin cell growth and has been linked to kidney and liver problems. Despite this, it is still seen as a safe ingredient and whether or not to avoid it is still under debate.

It Worked Perfectly. I cannot believe the fantastic results – I had a massive rash all over both of my hands for 2 years.. My fingers were bleeding everyday and my palm was so itchy, I scratched all of the skin from the palm of my right hand. I had very deep cracks in my fingers and they were very sore and I had a callis 2mm thick and 4omm wide covering the palm of my right hand. The dry skin problem was… Read more

caused from engine degreaser. I even went to the hospital about this problem.I started using "Redwin sorbolene moisturiser" about 5 days ago as I bought it from coles in Brisbane.... I cannot believe the instant result... My hands are already 100% better with zero itch and zero dry skin... And soft as a babies bottom. I would like to thank redwin products for such a great product. Because my hands were sore, itchy, peeling and bleeding everyday for 2 years and redwin fixed them perfectly in 5 days time. Just fantastic. Thank you redwin. I will buy their products in the future. Guaranteed.

God send facial moisturiser – I ruined my sensitive skin on my face with so many different expensive products throughout my early 20s and a few years ago when my face was awful and dry and the barrier was completely ruined my dad said to give his tub of sorbelene a try and said it works miracles for his eczema… I rolled my eyes at his $2 bottle but gave it a go and after just… Read more

a night I immediately noticed how much calmer and softer my face became. Now i use it every single night after cleansing with (also cheap and soothing Goat Oat soap) and I always get so many complements on my skin. Less is definitely more. Also I like the smell and can’t see how it could bother anyone

Great product – This is a product I use on my face as a aging man. Its cheap as chips and does a great job even better than the expensive stuff. I believe the big companies are just ripping people off with gimmicks. Keep your skin moisturised that's all. Sorbarline is cheap and does the trick. No need for expensive stuff. Show details

Been with it for years – I’ve been using this product for a couple of years now and honestly don’t know how I ever went without it. I have combination skin and but it’s very sensitive to many products out there. I use it for my face and limbs and it’s the only cream that doesn’t give me pimples or make the dry areas flakey. While other creams have sometimes given me… Read more

blisters, this one calms my skin. It’s also super affordable, I couldn’t believe the price when I first bought it! Some people don’t like the smell but I actually think it’s pleasant and it’s nice to not have a perfume.

Have rebought in recent months to watered down products. When I shake this tube it literally sounds like a chocolate milk being shaken it is soooo thin. Alot comes out when I open the tube because it is so runny. Please do not buy this product. Not like it use to be Show details

This WAS a great product – After trying many different moisturising lotions I found Redwin to be a great product. I recently purchased a new bottle and it’s so runny now it doesn’t even soak in. Very disappointed and won’t purchase again, will be looking for a new product. Show details

I love this moisturiser, but I’d love it even more if I could actually get the pump nozzle to work. Redwin are now using a cheap and nasty pump nozzle on their 1.1L bottles that is unable to be opened/released. I will no longer be purchasing their… Read more

product until I can see that they are using a pump of quality like they used to. It’s the little things that make a difference Redwin, it’s the little things.

Follow-up  · I contacted Redwin who acknowledged they are aware of the issue and are working to get it resolved. They posted me a replacement (working) pump so 10/10 for customer service.

Literally the best moisturiser i've ever used- I have tried a lot as I wash my hands frequently so my hands dry out a lot. Other moisturisers are excessively oily, however this one dries fast in a way that leaves the skin feeling hydrated, soft, and moisturised without having to put tons on or constantly having to reapply. Not a fan of the smell,… Read more

but nonetheless is the best hand moisturiser i've used and will repurchase again especially for how cheap it is ($3.50??!!!)

Contains chloroacetamide banned in many countries due to skin, eye irritation and bad reproductive effects – Terrible red swollen area on face and same + raised rash like effect on neck after one use. My face developed deep cracks down to below the skin level after a few days (blood). The night I applied it it disturbed my sleep (I didn’t know what was happening until I saw in the morning). It is still recovering after a week. I’ve used several similar… Read more

moisturisers before, fine. Not all sorbolenes are the same, this contains chloroacetamide - look it up, seriously bad and illegal in lots of countries. I reported this to their customer service and they said my report was strange. But I see from the reviews here and other Google searches it definitely isn’t! Bad experience with Redwin/ Pharmacare all around. If you are dedicated to sorbolene search out a better brand and formulation than this one. This one does not have the customer’s well-being as its priority

Does the job well + excellent value for $ – So I wanted a cheap effective hand cream that will fix men's dry knuckles and hands and stop me getting painful hang nails from dry skin. It does that and works better than even the most expensive Vaseline Intensive Care and for a fraction of the price. Picked it up for less than $5 at a discount chemist for the large pump pack. People say it… Read more

smells nasty I don't think it does, it just smells plain because they've added no fragrance. Will keep buying.

Excellent – I tried many skin products and this is definitely the best. My skin was dry and itchy and no other problems seen to help until I tried Redwin Serbolene Moisturiser. It has made a great improvement to my skin. I use it on my face, hands and all over my body. There is no harsh ingredients. Very affordable price. Show details

Used to be good - Watered down now – I have very happily used this products for 20+ years however the last three bottles have been increasingly watered down, to the point where it is difficult to apply as it is so thin. I will not be buying this products again as it is too runny and i do not believe it is as good as it used to be. Show details

The best – My 4 year old has extremely sensitive skin, she can't get her face painted and we have tried many more expensive well known brands that she also reacted badly to. Redwin sorbolene is the only one she doesn't have a reaction with. As a family of 4 we love this product and it's great for hydrating my 5 month olds skin. Highly recommended for those with sensitive skin Show details

I don't like it but my boyfriend does – I don't like the texture of this product as it feels like heavy and the smell is wired, because women prefer more natural herbal fragrance and this one is not that type. But my boyfriend think this is good and works on him and hasn't feel any itches caused by the dry winter since he use this product. Show details

Not moisturising enough – I've used this product for years and was very happy with it. Ten years ago it was very thick and super moisturising. Recently I've repurchased this sorbolene lotion and found its consistency have changed. It is very runny now and I didnt find it moisturising enough ( I have normal skin on my body). does work this way better. It has a pleasant scent to it and doesnt irritate my sensitive skin on my face. Shame they've watered it down, was a great product.

Perfect for highly sensitive, reactive, eczema prone skin – I have used this for years. I suffer from awful eczema (atopic dermatitis) and have done since I was a baby. Without using a moisturiser my skin is a mess and I need to resort to either very strong topical corticosteroids or oral ones when it really gets out of control. However, if I use this twice a day, my skin stays hydrated and soft and more… Read more

importantly eczema free.

For me eczema is as a result of my skin barrier not working correctly, so moisturiser is just something I will have to use for the rest of my life unless they find a cure!

I always wait until Coles do this for half price which makes it about $3.50/L. Can’t say fairer than that.

It's a 'Has Been' – I used this product for years ..... I used to tip some into a jar and take it whenever I flew or cruised. I can't do this any longer because it is too thin - it has become a liquid instead of a cream. I am looking for a better product, one like the original Sorbolene if possible. Very disappointed with Redwin, I used to trust the brand ..... not any more.

Excellent for moisturising legs etc – I have very sensitive skin and also do not like frangrances. This is a great moisturiser for legs and torso. Works great. It is too oily for use on the face... but that is understandable. It has a little bit of a smell but quite alright. Highly recommended.

Great Multi-use Moisturiser – I use this when bathing the kids along side this goat milk baby body wash product I got and it has worked wonders on keeping them clean / moisturised (my daughter, 1years old, has very sensitive skin so this has helped a lot in calming it down). I also use this for moisturising their skin from time to time and for my own face when I need an extra… Read more

sorbolene cream – i had surgery for a broken ankle & around the scarring area the skin is very dry. i rubbed sorbolene onto the affected area & it & the scars have become quite red & little itchy bump looking thingies. i think i'll just let the leg be dry until all heals.

Disgusting smell – It is to my deepest disappointment and dismay, that this product's smell is absolutely horrifying. It may moisterise deeply, however, the playdoe odour leaves a deep resentment for this product and feeling of contempt that cannot be disembled.
