Remifemin Menopause Symptom Relief Questions & Answers
Hi everyone,
I have a bit of a random question for you all. I was given the remifemin sleep tabs by my mum when I was visiting my parents.
She said it was a natural sleep tablet that would help me sleep -instead they made me freezing cold, sick and nauseous and just made me feel wierd and seedy.
When I googled them I saw they were marketed for women experiencing menopause of course . However I am not actually in perimenopause or menopause. I want to know are these tablets meant for anyone / everyone or just for women going through this phase of life.
My dad has gone as far as saying he brought them for his own sleep. It’s caused a whole family fallout over these tablets so I am looking for some clarity as I told them they made me sick and they have disregarded and completely invalidated what I had to say :(
Thanks in advance!
Um yeah I think these are just marketed for peripause and menopause. Would have no idea if they help other issues but if they made you feel like crap then they definitely don’t sound any good for you. My wife ended up going on estradot patches for menopause which has had the best results yet. Sounds weird your dad is taking them for sleep but if he thinks they help then I spose that’s good. I’d prob ask a doctor about it or even a pharmacist to get a professional opinion. Good luck :)
Can remifemin put on weight?
Love Love Love I ran out while on holidays in a really cold area sweats started again, hot flushes straight away, I also got a really bad migraine worst I’ve ever had. Would the migraine be related to stop taking as Ive also read you should have a rest from taking it.
Has anyone been taking these for a year or so and find they have stopped working? I was taking red clover for 18 months and it was fantastic, but now I'm back to hot flushes day and night. I need to find something new.
Are the am tablets different from the pm tablets
Hi Lou. No exactly the same.
I'd like to hear if people have had weight gain as suggested in the leaflet inside box.
I wasn't on it long enough to make a difference.
I took them for about three months and they didn’t work for me so stopped. Didn’t notice any weight gain specifically....
I was wondering how anxiety was on them
Has anyone changed weight on these tablets list or gained?
That's what I am worried about. I've gone up a few kilos. Keen to hear if others have.
Me too! Gained belly weight and feel bloated!!
Been on it for a week nothing has changed in my diet at all but gained 3kgs and massive bloating stopping it now would rather sweat
I have been taking remifemin for 3 days and my anxiety is worse, should I stop?
These tablets are not for anxiety. I think you should stop and see your GP for health problems or talk over why you thought you initially needed these tablets too. They can help you. All the best.
I got them for my menopause systems hot flushes, no sleep, I have always suffered from anxiety.
They made me feel edgy and off fir a bit but it passed... I’d check with your GP.
Does remifemin come in double dose
Just take a double dose if you have been instructed to.
Ive been taking it for over 4 weeks & my hot fushes have gotten way worse & my pee smells very vitamin-y
Talk fo your GP then. It's obviously not working. You must need something else. All the best
I accidentally took a Remifemintablet twice this morning - should I still take one that night..? or skip the evening dose? thanks
Please call the shop where you bought them from. We shouldn't give you health advice when we don't know what else you are taking. It's best to speak with a pharmacist.
There is no harm in leaving out your night one and start back in your usual regime tomorrow
Is Remifemin safe to take for someone who has had breast cancer ?
I understand it is all natural, however, I would double check with your specialist or Doctor first. I've still found it to be good.
Can Remifemin cause your heart to race? I took it for the first time tonight and I cannot sleep and it feels like my heartbeat is very fast. Should I persist with taking it?
I would not rely on a response from a public forum... obviously

The regular Remifmin says to take 2 a day and the night time says taking one per night. So do I take one of each each day?
Lyn, I have only used remifemin plus, the recommended dosage specifies one tablet twice a day but if necessary take two tablets twice a day. So two to four tablets seems to be ok, but you should ask the pharmacist or GP if you have doubts.
Hi Lyn,, I'm using remifemin plus, the dosage says 2 tabs per day 1 in the morning and 1 at night. I actually take 2 in the morning and 1 at night, I have found this to be working well for me, my doctor said this dosage is safe and I am feeling the benefits of this in only 3 weeks,,I'm sleeping better and my hot flashes have certainly decreased as well as my agitation. Menopausal life is more manageable these days, don't feel like I'm going insane anymore,,lol. I have tryed other products on the market without any success so I'm definitely sticking with remifemin plus.
Can it relieve muscle pain in my calves since I’ve been in menopause?
Seek professional advice
Can you just take 1 per day? This product helped me within a week! Sometimes I forget to take 2 per day but I still have no hot flushes, even if I take only 1 for a week. Anybody else the same?
Always best to check with your GP.
Hi there, is anyone taking Idaprex8 at the moment and also taking remifemin plus at the same time?
Since taking these supplements for 4 weeks I have started getting indigestion. Is this normal?? I don’t have full symptoms of menopause with night sweats but sometimes very moody. They also give me headaches and blurry vision. Should I stick it out or get off them. I’ve never suffered from indigestion before and bad breath because of it
