straight first glide through.. I do get more fly always with this straightener than with the GHD but I have just bought a hair serum and this has fixed the issue. I was so scared buying a cheaper straightener and I really shouldn't have been. This is a bargain and does an amazing job - Give it a go!!

Great product – I can't say whether it gives shine for real, as I started using it simultaneously with a shine boosting product but I do feel my hair silkier and not so dry as with other straighteners. Burning my hair – For the last 2 years I have been returning these straighteners and they continue burn my hair so much that it stinks the house out, Remington are NO help and refuse to refund me at all. Rubbish, going to buy some GHD's this christmas sick of them ruining my hair.

have to pull it faster. Its very good for straightning but if you want to curl, buy a straightner that does not have plastic-like around it. advised that there must be something wrong with my power however I have 20 other appliances that I have never had a problem with they them advised me to return it a second time for a different brand as it is obviously not compatible with my power I live in the suburbs of the city with normal power supply really disappointed

softer, shinier and more stylish than I have ever been able to manage with using a round brush and a hair dryer.

It is my first straightener - my hairdresser thought that my hair would not be suitable for a straightener as it would dry it out but so far (3 weeks) that has not been the case and my hair is looking much better than it ever has. I don't even have to use it every day as the straightening effect does last so I just touch it up with the hairdryer in between.

Washing my hair in the past has been awful as it took a week before the hair settled down but not any more - it looks good immediately. Humid weather has been horrible for me but now I can still make the hair look good.

So I am very happy. So far - nothing.

Excellent straightener – I was very happy with my purchase, even better that I bought it on sale! and didn't pay the $169 or so. Overall this is an excellent product, however dont expect it to last more than 18 months. Mine now all of a sudden refuses to heat up, despite it being loving cared for. dislike is that I hit the temperature button all the time while I'm using it and change the temperature (I need to look up how to lock it, I keep forgetting how).

I don't use this one as much as my large plate straightener but I love it just as much. I don't think it makes my hair any shinier though, despite the claims it's meant to. Reliable, works well, less damage on hair due to lower temps working well. Temperature control in annoying place.

remember not to accidentally touch them. The outside where the actual plates are heats up more than the GHD, but it's not unbearable. The plates themselves seem good quality ceramic, but are unevenly set and don't depress at the same rate - I'm being picky here. If I hadn't previously had a GHD I doubt I would even notice. We haven't dropped it yet so I don't know how robust it is, but at the price, who cares ? Our GHD broke on the 3rd or 4th drop anyway so what's the difference. Now I'm not claiming the remington is as good as a GHD, because it's not, the GHD is better made and has better componentry. Side by side, the remington feels a little flimsier. But if all you care is about how your straightened hair looks, and if you are likely to drop (and break) your straightener anyway, you may as well get this one over a GHD. And at the prices others are paying, it's a no-brainer. It's certainly worth every cent of the $82 I paid (and I thought I was getting a bargain... ha!) The price, though I can't believe at $82, I paid too much ! The end result - it's as good as a GHD. Positioning of buttons could be better. Does not have build quality of GHD, but at 1/3 of price, that's fair enough.

$49 (58% off) and after having read all your reviews I tested this straightener with my typical bedroom thick wavy hair. I took my time to do layer by layer with using my treseme heat protecting spray and the end result is WOW straight hair in 35mins. I even managed to make curls on the ends of my hair ;which is great too! love the wand it's wide enough to hold comfortably. the LCD screen showing the temperature is great very clear and love the beep* sound notifying my desired heat temperature is on. through the manual guide ****all you need todo is hold the " - " button for two seconds and it locks the temperature you want. suggestion is if the cord could have been longer for reaching purposes especially with long hair.

great little value-for-money straightner. I got mine through priceline half price which was an absolute bargain, but after using it I'd pay full price for it and still be happy. I have received so many compliments since getting my new straightner, so I take that as a good endoresement of the product too. Amazing result for little effort. My hair is always nice and shiny afterwards with little or no fly-away fluffy bits. It is sometimes hard to access and straighten to those little whispy bits of hair close to your scalp (if you have fine hair like me that is)

reasonable compared with a GHD, heats up really fast, straightens my hair very well and also can create a very nice curls and can last for days until I wash my hair. it took like 15 to 20 minutes to curl my entire hair which is kind of long. leaves my hair smooth and shiny so far there's nothing I don't like about it.

I had to wash it). It doesn't damage your hair either, like a lot of hair straighteners these days. I highly recommend this product. Sleek design, easy to use, leaves hair silky smooth and perfectly straight, works so, so well, not a bad price ($70 from myer half price) You can accidentally adjust the heat because the buttons are close to where you hold the straightener, but that can be fixed by turning it around.

obvious as hair actually looked different and better after use, and stayed straight longer. Highly recommended. A bit of attention and the buttons won't get pushed unintentionally, and that is a minor annoyance until one gets over "fat fingers". It works very well. Buttons could be better placed.

to the fact that it is infused with vitamins and really leaves your hair shiny. I have straight hair but due to tying it up it often gets wavy. I used it on 200deg and it was fabulous. It glided through my hair and it took half the time than when I used my old Wahl. It beeps when it reaches your desired temperature which you press on the buttons and it shows on an lcd display. I was impressed and so glad that I bought it, it was about $76 when they had 15% off. Only the fact that the buttons to input the temperature you want are right on the handle so when you hold it you can accidentally turn the temp up or down. I had to turn it the other way so I didn't do this.
