Repco are running a special, $40 trade in on old lead acid batteries if you buy any Repco branded battery. I went to the store, the said the battery I bought wasn’t eligible for the trade in as it was on special. The savings on the special is less than the savings on the trade in. Their promotion is garbage. Show details

Do not buy online. Repco’s return policy is extremely disappointing. I purchased a product online using Repco’s registration compatibility tool, which indicated the item would fit my car. It did not. I then lodged a return request online and was advised to attend a store, where a refund would be considered at the discretion of staff. When I… Read more

arrived in store, the staff member who served me (purple hair) refused to even look at the photos I had showing that the seat cover did not fit. I was told that because the packaging was not considered “resellable,” a refund would not be processed. This was despite the fact that the product was incorrectly sold to me online and is marketed as a universal fit, which reasonably requires opening to confirm suitability.

The staff member was dismissive, unhelpful, and rude throughout the interaction, and the response from the back-of-house team was similarly uncooperative.

Overall, this was a very poor customer experience caused by incorrect online advice and compounded by unprofessional in-store service.

I am writing to commend the excellent service I received yesterday, Father's Day, at your Chatswood store. I was at home fixing a water jet machine and needed to purchase fuel and air hoses. Repco Toowoomba- Service needs improving – I've recently moved to Toowoomba & ordered a 5 Litre oil online click & collect to pick up at their Taylor St. Store. I attended the store to collect but I also wanted an oil filter. I spoke with middle aged woman & enquired location of filters & was directed to the rear if the store where 3 small customer service were located. A staff member was… Read more

standing at one of the desks & was on the phone. After 5-6 minutes, he said to me,'If you stand there, they'll think I'm serving you. Thanks Sherlock, the other 2 desks were vacant. He continued on the phone, I stood away from his desk. Next thing two other guys get served by the lady who directed to me the back of the store. After the 2nd of the 2 customers was served, I said to her,' Can I get a filter please?' She then decided to serve me & locate the filter. The online experience was easy & painless, the instore experience was slack. The guy was still on the phone when I left. They seem to have a lot of staff just walking around. My gripes- the guy on the phone, just left me standing there & when he did speak to me, it was basically to move. Surely he could have signalled a staff member .The final insult, the lady who directed me initially served 2 late arrivals & I had to ask her before she walked off. I can only see one star for that experience. Nice store but customer service poor!

Worst customer service experience I've ever had – Yeppoon store used to be fantastic, my last experience there was disgusting. They were not special order, I had the receipt, the original packaging, they hadn't been used or fitted (they physically couldn't!) and the staff member… Read more

attempted to refuse me a refund or exchange, stating they weren't in sellable condition, i asked what i am supposed to do being down $90 for them and they're not fit for their intended or advertised purpose, as the repco website advertised them to me as "Fits your vehicle" when they did not, not even close (see photos of the ones i bought vs the ones removed from the car). For a good 5 minutes this continued, the staff member dragging the manager into it who did not end up coming out or speaking with me. Stating my intent to enact my consumer rights and upon asking for their names for my complaint, I eventually was given a refund so I could purchase others. Staff member was rude, hostile, dishonest and at times childish.

I needed a 12V source to run a digital photoframe for a trade display (one amp for four hours). Staff at Repco Cootamundra suggested NOCO GB20 jump starter. Some tiny technical matters but I know what I'm doing and it worked fine but fully charged it only ran two hours. The claimed 4,000 mAh is clearly Trumpian. No matter, the GB40 at a claimed… Read more

12,000 mAh should handle the job easily, so I bought one of those as well. A bit expensive but at least no hassles with a big 12V lead-acid battery. I was a bit surprised that the GB40 is built into an identical case as the GB20, but thought no more about it. A great little device, and works exactly the same as the GB20 so no second learning curve. The big surprise was it ran for the same two hours. Had a second look at the specs, and the GB40 should weigh around 1.3 kg. No: both units weigh 540 g. It is instructive that both units take around 5 hours to charge from my computer (measured 1.4 A) so the batteries in both units take the same number of joules. Let's be clear: I'm not interested in cranking amps. The GB20 might be the claimed 500 A and the GB40 might be 1000 A in some universe. I don't care. But as a source of power the GB40 is a huge disappointment. I'm keeping the GB20: it will be a handy power source but I won't be relying on it to get me out of trouble. I took the GB40 back to Repco Cootamundra the following day, complete and in its original package, with receipt. They cheerfully refunded the money as expected, but I'm sorely disappointed. I am reconciled to running the display from a 10-year-old lead-acid battery.

I can only give it one star because there is no lower rating for me to choose. I ordered two car parts from Erina and Grafton, NSW, and paid to get them delivered to Sydney. that, some protection covers were missing in the delivered one. I was told initially that I can only bring these parts to some dedicated Repco shops to get refunded which is not easy for me without a car.

Update: I spoke to the local shop in Chatswood and was promised to get the parts replaced by the manager. All sounded good. But a few days later, when I called back, the staff member in the store told me no information is available; nothing can be done; I cannot call back to ask for information but wait for them to call me. Before I could ask for any more information, the guy hung up.

I do not have a car all the time.

What is it with this RACQ discount nonsense? As Repco is doing damage to itself, RACQ and Repco are not affiliated and there is no legitimate reason to discriminate against non-RACQ customers, the price difference is significant enough to make people avoid Repco as I have and I feel that fair trading should be involved here. normal selling price and it is not on sale. After speaking with the owner it turns out that these guys still make a profit selling the belt at that price. So how much profit are REPCO and the other two price gougers making?

Repco is the worst of the three Big Name Auto Accessories stores when it comes to price mark-up, but the other two are hot on their heels.

I really hope all three of these BIG Chain ripoff stores price themselves out of business. And their should be a law to stop them for price gouging like they have been doing since COVID 19 lock-downs. They are not trying to help anyone but themselves. In actual fact when it comes to pricing, they are trying to drain Aussies for every cent they have.

The reality is that 99% of the items they sell are purchased from Alibaba China or similar bulk suppliers for around 5% of what Repco & the other two sell them for.

The profit margins would be astronomical.

mins north of Bundaberg. The package was however sent south to Brisbane (6hrs), then north to Rockhampton (8hrs) before being assigned to a contractor to drive back south to my location (2.5hrs). Approx 1650km rounds trip as opposed to 120km direct. This is the second time I have experienced the absolute lack of organisational professionalism from this amateurish organisation. Last time I received an ineffective apology from Melbourne which is not required now. Unfortunately, I had no choice in the delivery company as Repco use them as their preferred provider.

Repco talk the talk but can't walk. At just after 10:00 AM I placed and payed for a same day delivery order. At 10:20 AM I received an email confirming my order and delivery for same day. The order cut off for same day is 1:00 PM so at 3:30 PM having not received the obligatory on for delivery email I rang the store. I was told that they do not deliver and that my order would be placed on a Terrible transport Company (Team Global Express) who refuse to deliver here and they would have taken my order further away to their depot expecting me to pick it up. I explained on the phone that was NOT DELIVERY and certainly NOT SAME DAY. I told of my confirmation email and was told someone would ring me back. As Repco close at 5:00 PM I was concerned. I finally got a call at around 4:30 PM asking If I still wanted my order delivered and I said YES! A pleasant enough person finally delivered my order. I asked why all the confusion, they took my details and said that as it was Friday the Manager was away and promised the Manager would contact me Monday on their return. Monday was Yesterday and NOTHING. Repco are now sending me Spam advertising but if I order anything will I get the same run around and Stupidity?
