Had Richtel Melbourne Grout, re-grout both our showers in December 2023 Stated there is a 15-year guarantee, Mould in one bathroom has already returned, rang to get the mould repaired and was told that Richtek Melbourne went into receivership? Follow-up · Now looking at more negative reviews, It is a common problem with this company. There are exactly the same problems as I have encountered. the same mould problems and the same excuses (In receivership) So I would say that there are using administration excuses for very poor workmanship.

Had a full house of gutter and downpipes done. Had John come out and quote with Daniel following behind to do the install. From Start to finish communication was great. Would happily recommend!

the same positions along with additional leaks. After countless emails and phones calls to Richtek Roofing, unfortunately we are still no closer in having a roof that is fixed and in working order. Below is a summary of the past and current events.
15.6.2023- Initial consultation was conducted, and quote was provided. Richtek sales rep highlighted that the sooner you pay your deposit we can add you to the schedule. I was verbally given 3-4 weeks from deposit paid and an emergency fix would be conducted. 16.6.2023- 50% deposit paid. NO emergency fix took place. 25.8.2023- After countless phone calls, txt messages, and dates being pushed out multiple times the pressure washing of the roof started on the 25.8.2023. 8.9.2023 - Once again zero communication between Richtek and myself after multiple times of emailing and calling. I requested an update on when Richtek would be coming to finish this job. Three days (11.9.2023) later I was provided with a response of “Just need colour choices for repointing please”. 14.9.2023- Requested feedback from Richtek to provide commitment date for these works to be carried out. They could not provide a solid date once again. 21.9.2023- Richtek confirmed they would attend the property to complete repointing Richtek did not attend, after a phone call (went to message bank) as they needed to reschedule. Richtek confirmed that a service technician would attend on the 22.9.2023. This took serval days as the tiller only completed 3-4hours of work then would leave. I requested feedback on the 27.9.2023 on when the guttering would be replaced – feedback was awaiting supplier. 9.10.2023 - Gutters were installed on the 9.10.2023. I gave my gutter preference to Richtek on the 11.7.2023. Over 3-months to order and installed gutters – not acceptable. 11.10.2023- Invoice was sent, Richtek call me 2-3 times that day demanding payment. Notified them that I would inspect roof before paying the remaining balance. 15.10.2023- I inspected the roof and found cracked tiles, valleys and penetration not being replaced. Also, they left all old tiles, coke bottles and rubbish on the roof. Provide email to Richtek highlighting the incomplete works. After my email, Richtek call and said the works had not been completed and could they have there leading hand and coordinator attend the property on the 19.10.2023. This was just dodgy and a dirty tactic. 23.10.2023- Plan for incomplete works was provide on the 23.10.2023. • Solarhart removal -24/10/2023 • Reworks on roof – Aiming for the 27.10.2023. • Schedule for the 1.11.2023 – Richtek reschedule for the 30.11.2023. 4.12.2023- Paid final balance. 28.5.2024- Sent Richtek an email and followed up with phones on the leaks found after the May2024 rain in Perth, WA. We are still waiting for someone to attend the property.
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and the continued delays throughout this whole process as we needed to delay other trades i.e. roof painting and solar panel reinstallation due to Richtek inability to priorities and plan correctly. I am requesting Richtek to support and follow there T&C as per their quotation (refund or commitment to their obligation in a timely manner). We also will be report Richtek the ACCC and DMIRS along with sourcing legal advice.
Best workers – .WORKERS WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND and coming back to finish the job EXCELLENT WORKERS NATHAN AND BRAYDON DESERVE A PAY RISE AND A DAY OFF. Would let these guys do any plumbing work in my house
Thanks to Cam and Kody from Richtek for getting our leaking shower sorted. Arrived on time both for initial assessment and to do the job. Friendly to deal with and the job looks great.
In 2023, based on their television advertising campaign, we chose Ricktek to replace our games room metal roof. The job took over 6 months from the date of the quote until the job was completed. reconnected correctly. Lately we had a rainwater leak into the lounge ceiling which our home and contents insurance inspection attributed to the poor workmanship performed by Richtek. Trying to contact Richtek to rectify the leakage proved a waste of time as repeated phone calls were ignored. Subsequently, I have employed a tradesman to fix the leakage. My advice to anyone considering employing Ricktek for any work is to be aware of any promises of timelines, workmanship and guarantees to rectify faults.

leadership and based on different states and other tradespeople. He assured me that he takes his work very seriously and his tradespeople reflect the same values. I was still reluctant and nervous but decided to go ahead. Cameron was right. His staff were flawless in their timeliness, cleanliness, manners and most of all their attention to detail. Toby and Joe who shared the work were both truly high calibre workers (rare in today’s world of sub-standard workmanship) Joe went above and beyond with little touch-ups that were not specified but needed and could be heard quietly whistling different tunes during the day. It was a refreshing change from some of my recent experiences with tradespeople. All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend Rickteck (Melbourne) to anyone looking to upgrade their wet areas without the costs of a full renovation. I am rarely impressed these days so thanks again to Cam and the Team
Great result – Having marble in our shower recess is hard to clean between the tiles because marble is sensitive to so many cleaning products. We were extremely happy with the result. All in a days work. Our tradesman was so respectful and clean.

Please dont be fooled by this company. We have been through the process of trying to have them replace our roof since 2nd march this year. They had nearly 16k of ours and kept making promises/told us they submitted to council but it was a lie. In the end, they admitted they didnt even have my correct surname to submit applications for council… Read more
approval so obviously hadn't submitted ANY applications as they lied about. We are now 29th October and thry still have money of ours for 'reports' they cant produce. This is now with building commission with a formal complaint and I welcome anyone to contact me if they have had similar issues and need money back or want to see Richtek held accountable for their horrible 'service'. Promised a lifetime warranty on the service and a 25-year warranty on the product — what a joke! I've called over 15 times and still haven’t received a single callback. Each time I speak to someone in Melbourne, they assure me someone will follow up, but no one ever does. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. If you're considering using them, be warned: don’t expect support after they take your money..... enjoy been ripped off!!!

In 2023 they did a very bad job in replacing all our kitchen and bathroom taps and a shower head. Charged an obscene amount and had to call another plumber to fix all their jobs. Richtek asked my mum for the plumbing bills incurred as a result and advised would compensate. Never heard back. Company is now out of business. Very disappointing.

Do not use Richtek in Perth or Melbourne. I paid almost $3000 for less than one day of work to replace grout in my bathroom tiles. Sloppy work that I’ve had to pay more money to have repaired. They scratched tiles and sub contract work to unskilled labour. The company name may have been sold in Melbourne.
To give an accurate review they would actually have to show up to the job. No phone call, no msg, no email. Started off good with a speedy reply to the booking request but that's where it stopped. Literally
Had shower grout work done in mid 2023... very shoddy, messy and even left some grout on the shower screen. It is now absolutely in need of repair .... looks just as bad as before! So much for the lifetime guarantee as the company is in liquidation....

It’s no accident that I was made to believe this would be difficult. When I asked whether a quote would be emailed to me, [Name Removed] lifted his phone and said, “this is what it will cost you…$1845 plus GST!!!!!” I said that could not be right. After exclaiming “That can’t be right-that’s outrageous!”, I let him leave and called a local plumber who said, “yeah, no worries, I have the machine, it will take about 15 minutes- $260 will do it, and extra $120 if you want a camera to double check the blockage is cleared.” I’m so disgusted that this company are predatory and unethical. How can a quote differ by roughly 8 x the cheaper quote with a free pantomime included? Nothing was put in writing but please avoid using a company that charges roughly 8 x more than a local quote.” I feel sorry for single women and elderly people that could be taken advantage of. year later we found approximately 50% of the roof screws had not been replaced. On calling Richtek they sent someone out to look and then never came back to fix the work that was not completed. We wrote letters and called them but no response. Took them to the magistrates court and the case was not progressed as they are in administration (insolvent). If you use these people you are mad. The Director of the company should be banned from running a company. I'd say most of the google reviews in the positive may be fake and all within the last 3 months. They never responded to the serving of court papers or to the claim against them,. We waited months. If they are still in business they are trading insolvently. The other post on the reviews about roofing not being part of the electrical and plumbing group is bogus.......the same ABN. Avoid like the plague.
They contacted me about this review and claim that it is a separate business. They asked me to take the review down. The quote we received was from Richtek Electrical, Plumbing & Gas, Roofing and Grouting. ABN 24 164 854 335. There is no ABN stated on the Richtek Electrical and Plumbing website for obvious reasons. Even if they have registered a new ABN I would not deal with them ever.
There website still advertises Roofing despite the managers claim that it is a separate business. Note there is no address for them on their website.....wonder why?
None of the reviews are old......all within the last 3 months since the company we dealt with went into administration. Spooky

Daylight robbery – Under 1 hours work for a burst pipe and I got slogged $1150 !! That's one amazing hourly rate! Even lawyers or doctors don't charge like that. No wonder they are called RICHtek!. here now, I've worked for the Water Board." Neighbours place was blocked too. Previously Water Board had fixed the problem and we asked for it to be sent to Water Board. We paid the contractor $700, just wanted him gone, distracted you by never shutting up. We asked him to get off the property. Was told the Water Board would not do that job, but Ritchtek would send it in and we would get a copy. Never happened. Couldn't get past anyone at reception to talk to manager, no call back. Mention this company to anyone and you will get a negative answer. Since had a second opinion and yes, send it to the Water Board plus it would have cost $300 to unblock as no major equipment needed to be used. Get a second opinion, better still don't call them.

date with our payment, and made it for something like 6 weeks later. Super annoying, but we had already put money down, and just wanted the initial coverage of all the leaking skylights and roof. When a couple of guys came on the day to do the work, they turned up late with no contact to say so, their language was pretty inappropriate, they smashed things and threw things around, which I brought up with the company directly as we had people visiting who were made to feel uncomfortable. They then sent a different guy, who seemed a lot more professional and had to spend a day and a half fixing up all the terrible work the other two had done. The two other guys then turned up and asked for a full payment off our guests, even though the work was incomplete and the other guy was booked in to come back and finish it. (I have attached the email for verification). Turn the clock forward to a year or so later, and we discovered some issues with the roofing, contacted Richtek, who didn't care, despite the lifetime warranty, and we subsequently contacted another company, who observed that there were incomplete areas e.g. they hadn't capped off all the skylights, but only the one that was easy for them to access. We therefore now have leaks coming through the wall and creating a bulge. Another company is going to come and fix it all up, as who can be bothered getting anyone from Richtek back to do it. Totally untrustworthy, overpriced and hopefully people will see all these reviews, do some research (Like I should have done), and find someone better.
DONT GO NEAR THESE SCAMERS. They do extensive work that is not required. Not to standard and leave a damaged house – This company should be ashamed of ripping of customers. A building inspection revealed that they did extensive unnessarry exploration including removing the bath to fix a burst pipe. Best result you could ask for – Had my shower re-grouted in Melbourne and can honestly the outcome was 50x better than I was expecting. Professional, tidy, onetime and friendly
Overpriced and over quoted roof leak repair – Had a roof leak. Quote was $5793.80 - Rebed and repoint 2 hips, install storm seal, recut & reline tiles in valley, replace 1 sqm of tiles and a water test. It was quite a small leak so I was surprised at the price. job. They fit me in a month later and it was one guy and he was done in about 2 to 2.5 hrs. It did fix the problem but I feel like I was ripped off and way over quoted. I had already paid another roofer $750 to fix it which it didn’t, so it proved to be a very expensive leak. Even thought it fixed the problem so they did a good job, I wouldn’t use them again as I don’t feel like I paid a fair price. I think they just took advantage of me as I was desperate to get it fixed.

DO NOT USE!!!!! – Terrible / non excitant customer service and horrific workmanship. This company is an absolute joke. Its been less than a year and I've already had them back once (which was almost impossible) to re-do my bathroom. They are now not returning my calls, so much for a life time warranty.
