Rinnai C Series

RINNAI C SERIES INVERTER SPLIT SYSTEM AIR CONDITIONER 7KW Model Product Code:* HSNCS70B – Bought this HEAVILY DISCOUNTED air conditioner today from Harvey Norman on 06/06/2024, and boy, DID I TWIST THEIR ARM! Got it for LESS THAN COST, and I don't feel sorry for Jerry Harvey ONE IOTA, he won't miss the $$$, and will probably claim the loss on TAX. Being the start of winter, NOW is the best time to get Air conditioner bargains, and OCTOBER or NOVEMBER is the best tome to get them installed to avoid COSTLY peak periods. Living in tropical Townsville one did not need reverse cycle. This is the first review on here relating to the "C" Series.

Have seen a couple of reviews here on Product Review that were quite negative, so I bought one for the heck of it to see what all the fuss was about, knowing that Rinnai have been around FOREVER and Rinnai having factories in Australia, and being a Japanese Company, I had to see for myself.

One will provide a FULL update as soon as it's installed and give a detailed run down of the GOOD, the BAD, and if applicable, THE UGLY.

...................UPDATE DECEMBER 2024...................

Had the unit installed 14 days ago by the best (and most expensive) professionals in Townsville, who had no problems installing this unit, and being a powerful unit, one has only had to run it on LOW FAN and ECONOMY MODE, and yes, it cools my bedroom like a fridge, AND THE NEXT ROOM AS WELL! I must say though, I do have double insulation in the walls and ceilings, and living up here in Townsville, it cuts power bills incredibly!

The remote control is simple, and the unit inside is as quiet as a church mouse, as is the unit outside especially when on "QUIET" mode.

I am so happy with this unit (so far).

Please see the video below so you can gauge the decibel output of this unit in "ECONOMY MODE". even in low fan mode (which I really do not need yet), the unit inside and out is quiet, and having autism, that is important for me, especially with my sensory issues! Looking now for an aircon for the lounge room too when I get around to it after cyclone season having just bought 3 more generators (see my review on here for those). . .

Worked okay for 3 years with a couple of small fixes – We learnt quickly with this aircon that it needed a deep clean 3 times a year. Now at 3 years it has stopped cooling and the turbo option does nothing. Rang 1st care and spent a lot of time giving details as this unit is under warranty. The woman on the phone had major problems with the english language and did not know what a split system was. She actually asked if it was powered by electricity. I had to repeat myself so many times it became quite frustrating. I then contacted the local service techie just to give him the heads up and he advised he no longer does any work with Rinnai because of payment issues. So waiting for some help as we live in FNQ the aircon is reqd. Our other bedroom aircons ( not Rinnai ) are 10 yrs old and we have never had any issues with them. I note the other reviews on Product Review are very hit and miss for Rinnai. Will contact store we bought this from as they told us 2 years ago to notify them if we have issues with Rinnai.
