Hey mate I just found an app that connects to my dash cam. Search for UVUE in the App Store. I was pulling my hair out until I found this this morning. It looks identical to Road eye! Hope this works for you!

UVUE is not connecting to my RoadEyes device ?? Not Roadeye Dash but RECSMART

Nope! Toyota installed it 3 years ago and they refunded me and I paid extra to have a new system installed. Unless you can take out the micro sd card and access info from it? I couldn't.

This is your dash cam noting that there may be a reason to keep that recording. You can change the sensitivity but need the app which no longer exists.

We’ve thrown our unit in the bin …., company has folded and even though our unit is still Under warranty, there’s no one to fix it. Had 2 units in 3 years and both have failed.

I have never had correct information and cannot get it on my iPad or iphone. My laptop Lenovo won’t even let me put Road eye stuff on it.

Leisa, I dont use a Sd card, RoaD-eye I cant advise. I find the Road-eye dash a frustrating piece of junk.

Use a 5 cent coin to push the card in until it clicks outwards. Same process to put it back in. My opinion and good advice from qualified people is to stay away from dashcams. They are all problematic.

Harry, they aren't a problem when you get rear ended and the car that hits you does a runner.. Helped the cops and the insurance company find the driver so I could get my car repaired, I did have to call the dealership to get a hold of the contractor that installed it to talk me over the phone how to get the footage from the card to the app to an email.

Leisa, I'm having the same problem it wants the SD card to be installed so I am assuming that the card needs to be replaced (was told they eventually stop working by the installer), Did you have any luck finding it? I am thinking the box, is under the dash on the front passenger side of the car, if I can't find it I'll have to try and find the installers number or call the dealership to see if they it.

I had mine hard wired by the dealer.

I regret the day this was installed by the dealer. I have read all of the users problems. Be warned do not get this installed it is a piece of junk.

I,m with u Harry. Had one installed by dealer in my new KIA. Has not worked properly since Installation. Android app is the worst I have ever encountered and is virtually unusable. KIA is a good brand and I am very happy with my car but this piece of junk has ruined my KIA experience.

I'm with you all this Road eye is just a scam. It is nothing but junk and I have had nothing but issues since it was installed by the dealer. I have even had them look at the unit multiple times as it operates as a parasitic user of your battery. Yes, even when you adjust the voltage for cut off it still drains my battery. I don't use my car that often, so I notice it more. Sorry, the day I bought this junk when I got my new car a Honda CRV AWD with everything. Best car but this junk really makes me dirty on the car now. I can't help it as I should not be getting my battery drained by this junk.

Adriaan V, if you use the app it should use the correct time. However, you need to have the car switched on so the phone can connect to the dashcam via the dashcam wifi. (in wifi it says Road eye) just make sure when you leave the car that you reconnect to your internet otherwise your mobile data will be used.

Katie, I cant advise on road-eye dash cam, I regret the day it was installed. Unreliable piece of junk.

Hi Katie: I concur with Harry. You can only take it back to the dealer that installed it. Maybe they can help you.

You can make a new password, just type it in when you connect it, always wise to not use the factory password as it's not "secure".

Download the PC application (Road_Eye_TAT_setup.zip) from here: external link  Install on your PC then get the SD card from the unit and insert on PC. Run the app and connect to the drive that the SD card is on your PC. I could access all the recent recordings (since I have owned the vehicle).

Arthur - Where can we find the dashcam drive in the car? I'm suspecting it's under the dash on front passenger side, as I need to change the card.

You can try resetting it. It might work.

Sorry, I can't help. Mine did the same. I don't think the problem is the camera, but the internal workings of the recorder. Try using the view option with the car parked. I get images on the front and rear cameras, but no videos when running the car. That's why I think there is some thing wrong with the internal workings.
