No refunds – I bought one of these vacumns for a Christmas present for my mum and I notice as soon as I placed the order that I accidentally got it sent to my address not my mums, I contacted the company straight away and they told me to reject the order when I received it and get it sent back for a refund and in the meantime I bought another one for my mum so… Read more
she would receive it on time.
Its now mid June (7 months after I placed my order), the company messaged me a month after the order was placed to say they received my pacel back and a manager will contact me about processing my refund.
I have emailed them over 7 times about my refund and with no responses and no refund of nearly $800.
Don't trust this company if your product dosnt work or you don't receive it don't expect to hear from them. Such a waste of money.
Great - BUT well known left wheel lock up fault! – - Can't really fault this cleaner, best on market - Problem is, if you have the mopping feature rather than the standard s5, replacing the left wheel which commonly locks up is a nightmare. replace. - If roborock fixed this issue for free, they would be the best company I have every dealt with. - Warranties should be more than 1 year, they should be at least 5, when you are spending this kind of money on their products
Wheels locking up during mop function mean you receive half the features – GOOD - very handy and efficieny vaccuum function - easy to setup - easy to clean - good instructions from the app BAD - in less than 12 months (within warranty) the wheels began locking up during mopping (leading to pathing issues and battery running out before cycle is complete), and the support team provided some troubleshooting... but after… Read more
the warranty expired, no more help. Now I realise that the wheel locking is a known issue, and because it's out of warranty they won't provide support. Very disappointing.

FANTASTIC ITEM!! – The S5 Max is the most used appliance I own. Having three children, the mess they make is phenomenal. I can set multiple times to vacuum throughout the day/night and it even has a mopping ability and stair sensors. It has the ability to clean without lights on and I can set barriers to certain areas to stop it from going there. great product, I never have to vacuum again. Show details · 1

Definitely a must have – I have a single level home with carpeting and tiled floors. spaces that require everyday cleaning. It mapped the entire house accurately in first run itself and then dividing the rooms, customising the cleaning for each room etc was super easy. I now run it everyday in common areas and twice a week in bedrooms. I use the mopping function too weekly in common areas and kitchen. All with a tap on the app on my phone ! The app is user friendly and tasks like emptying the bin, cleaning the brush, attaching mop etc are also very easy and quick. It’s not a silent machine but makes much lesser noise than my corded vacuum. It also does not replace your big corded VC as you’ll end up using it once a while for a more thorough cleaning. Also, If you’re big on mopping in your house, you’ll be a bit disappointed with the results. Mopping is just about average but I haven’t tried the spot clean option yet. I don’t know if the results would be better that way. Battery is good too, mine can do the living room, dinning, kitchen and 4 bedrooms in a single run when fully charged. In the end, it’s definitely worth the cost and will save you a lot of time on everyday basis.

cleaned over 33,000 square meters (2+ years) before the first major component required replacement. (A wheel motor which was damaged by a small piece of lego being trapped in it.) Battery life good. The suction is fine for both carpet and flooring, although probably not deep pile carpet. It does reasonably well with obstacles and the highly customisable map allows you to block out any areas that it gets habitually trapped in. This unit has lidar positioning without cameras, so it always knows exactly where it is but does not see what is in front of it. Far more efficient than random cleaning but not good for avoiding pet poo. Good filter, does an excellent job with pet hair. Not fantastic with corners or areas where there is a change in height as only one corner brush. (For example, tends to leave rubbish along a line where the bare kitchen floor transitions to the hallway carpet). Does ok with mats but does not like tassels, phone charge cords, shoelaces or lego. But then, most robo-vacs seem to struggle with these. Not too loud although we generally have it do the main clean mid morning rather than at night. Need to empty the dust container every day, but not a bad idea anyway to check for foreign objects. If you haven't had a robot vac before don't expect it to fully replace your main vacuum. They don't have the power to really deep clean but do a good job collecting dust before it gets ground into the carpet pile. Accessories & consumables (brushes, filters) fairly expensive if you buy OEM but they last quite a long time so you don't need to replace much. (2) mopping. The mop function is OK, but more of a general tidy up than any liklihood it will deal with a really greasy floor. The mop attachment has to be fitted manually (quick & easy), so can't transition from bare floor to carpet without taking it off. Decent size water tank which would last a few days even for a large floor area. Has never left puddles behind it unless it got stuck for a protracted period.
App: The app is stable and well thought out, relatively easy to set up and very reliable once you have the maps loaded. Very easy to schedule & manage cleaning. Wifi stable with our network even in places in the house where wifi can't quite manage video streaming. (some vacs keep losing their connectio to the wifi, or have a buggy App, which is a major PITA).
Terrible customer service – We were relatively impressed with the roborock after our initial purchase. In our busy house it was an absolute lifesaver. While not as powerful or thorough as our regular vacuum cleaner, it definitely did a great job for everyday cleans. roborock would get stuck on 23% charge and would not clean any areas saying "low battery". Upon contacting Harvey Norman who we purchased it through, they passed us along to their customer service team "Technocity". We had a long phone call troubleshooting, followed by more emails requesting we send them 2 separate videos highlighting the problem. Very hard to send a video of a vacuum cleaner that won't charge, but we did. It's now been a week since their initial claim that they were escalating our request and will send through details for how to return the roborock. I'm not sure why it takes seven days to organise a postage label, but here we are. Essentially we have no idea when the vacuum will be repaired and how long it will take to get it back to us. We spent $800 on this one and while I would love to just buy a new one, it's not financially viable for us. Extremely disappointing. Hopefully we will get it fixed and it live a long life, but I doubt I'll ever buy another product from this brand again.

Amazing for vacuuming a house with pets! – Amazing for vacuuming, if I could give stars for each function it would be 5 stars for vacuuming and 3 stars for mopping. First of all I have a fully tiled house, I have an inside dog who sheds a lot of hair and 2 cats. mop function doesn't do to well with dog slobber but still worth using when I can't be bothered mopping myself (yes I am lazy when it comes to housework, would rather be out fishing!). I just have to go over the floor at least 2 to 3 times with the mop function, still doesn't get the dog slobber but all other marks are gone. Would be great if you could actually choose for the robot to go over the floor multiple times through the app, instead I have to wait for it to finish and set it to work again each time (still better then getting the mop and bucket out in my opinion). The app is pretty easy to use and I love the fact that you can choose which rooms to clean, saves having to pick everything up off the floor all at one time, such as the dog and cats beds and toys, you can just throw them in another room and not have to worry about them getting caught up in the vacuum. Overall I would definitely recommend the Roborock, now that I have it I could not live without it!! It is the perfect robot vacuum for people with pets and would be even more perfect for the mop function for people without inside dogs that leave slobber marks everywhere. Cannot comment on what it would be like for people with kids as I don't have any (furbabies are my life!).

We have 2 dogs so plenty of pet hair to clean up. It needs to be emptied each day, but that's OK. We haven't used the mop functionality, so I can't comment on that.

had any issues with this vacuum cleaner unlike another more expensive Samsung robovac we purchased that has been a bit of a dud. I haven’t used the mop function at all as I prefer to use detergent when I mop. I highly recommend this model of Roborock. 5 stars from me !
Follow-up review - 2 years on – Been tempted to upgrade to an auto-empty function but this little unit still keeps kicking. At 11am each day he does his rounds and leaves dust and dog-hair free polished concrete floors. Sent off to repair. sent only main vacuum back with no report on what they done and told me they sent docking station with vacuum. After harvey norman dealt with them i got original docking station back with crumpled paperwork i sent in at start.. review; I’m annoyed I waited so long to buy this to be honest. It’s made my life so much easier and my kids allergies aren't half as bad as they were. I run it daily and am constantly amazed at the amount of dust and pet hairs it collects. Haven’t used the mop feature yet but I’m sure it won’t disappoint. Happy first time user – All our floors (except bathroom and laundry which have tiles) are 6 x 6 inch wooden Jarrah blocks, laid similar to bricks, so some unevenness, which the vacuum has no problem with. We also have a 2 x 3 metre carpet under the dining room table which it has no problems accessing and cleaning. Mostly happy – We have wooden and tile floors through, no carpets. The house is split level, and the vacuum effectively navigates most obstacles and avoids stairs.
