5 Amardeep Singh  · Great product..! – Great product. User friendly and easy to maintain and use.
1 Anita F.  · No customer care – My Roborock just lasted past the warranty. Tough luck said Roborock, I now have a useless vacuum cleaner! Very unhappy with this company.
5 Deb Morgan  · Can't live without it! – Absolutely love my Roborock S8 Pro Ultra! It cleans and mops my floors so well. It saves me so much time.

Great addition to our home, cleans really well considered we have two dogs in the house when we are home. Really convenient because we can turn it on from the app and the house is nice and clean when we get home from a busy day at work. Highly recommend! Show details

I’m very happy with my Roborock S8 Ultra overall. The vacuuming performance is strong and it does a great job picking up dust and everyday dirt. The only drawback I’ve noticed is that it struggles to remove really hard or dried-on stains during mopping. Other than that, everything works well and the suction power is very good. Overall, it’s a solid and reliable robot vacuum. Show details

It’s unfortunate that consumers have to write a public review in order to get service from such a highly rated brand. I purchased my S8 Pro Ultra in 2023 for $2,700. It has run seamlessly up until 1 month or so ago when it completely stopped working for no reason (have tried new battery - and still dead). I have reached out to Roborock support… Read more

twice now and NO RESPONSE. I was about to upgrade to a Roborock Saros, but after this terrible service there is a slim chance of that happening. I’ve recommended this product many times to friends that have then purchased a Roborock - so it’s even more disappointing for me!!

Eighteen months after my original review, I remain very satisfied with Rocky, having experienced no problems with him, having had to perform very little routine maintenance on him, and having spent only $136.60 (postage included) so far (i.e., across just over two years of ownership) on replacement maintenance parts for him, without having even… Read more

used all of those parts yet.

Here's my original review, of 12 February, 2024, which somehow got stuck in an "archive" category, apparently never even being viewed by anybody:

I have been using this robot vacuum cleaner ("Rocky") for over five months, having purchased it ("him") on preorder. Rocky mapped and now both vacuums and mops my entire house with no intervention on my part except to occasionally empty the dirty water tank and fill the clean one, and to perform the odd bit of maintenance involving cleaning his sensors, filters, and brushes. Yes, he's expensive, but in a way he pays for himself in time saved. Rocky is a cleaning game-changer, and well worth having.

I've written a longer review of my experience with him here:

Game changer – I purchased Roborock S8 ultra pro for H. Normans about 3 months ago. I have hybrid flooring & carpet in a large new house still on a sand pad outside. Daily flooring cleaning is required & not possible for us to manage, in fact weekly is a struggle to fit in. We also have dead flies & midges on the floor depending on the season that require… Read more ·  1

cleaning. This vac/mop combo is awesome for the required daily clean & works super well on this type of flooring. The machine & the station does require regular cleaning to keep running well & the mop water requires changing about every 3 days. This is quite easier & the app on your phone will let you know if something needs attention prior to you getting to it. The mapping is exceptional & the avoidance system for obstacles is very accurate. The only thing which could be improved is its ability to get into corners as it is missing about 10cm of the corner & we get midges dropping dead in these spaces. I paid about $2250 on sale in October 2023 & is definitely worth the investment for us.

The best Robot ever built so far – This is practically the best Robot ever built—so far. Cleaning and vacuuming has made our work much easier around the house. Just start the robot and it will map out the whole floor, clean it and go back to the dock where it it empties the bin and clean the mop. Isn’t that amazing? All you need to do is empty the dirty water tank and fill up the… Read more ·  1

clean water tank. Controlling the robot from the App on the phone is what I like the most. The App is very handy as I sometimes control the robot while I am at work in the city. It is wonderfully made such that you can start and watch it remotely as it moves around the house cleaning. The noise level is very low except when it’s emptying the bin. The price of $2,699 is very much justified and I assure you that you will have value for your money. I recommend it highly.

Best thing I have ever bought! – I love this Robot vacuum! With a crook back and an inside dog and cat, my floors were looking a little neglected. Investing in the Roborock S8 is proving to be worth it, my floors are looking cleaner than ever. The convenience programming this vacuum from my phone and having automated schedules means this is one chore that is done before I get up.… Read more ·  1

Finally, the animals are happier as this robot senses and avoids them unlike the old robovac which would head straight for them.

So much better than ecovacs - especially the mapping!!! – I’ve been team ecovacs for the last 2 years upgrading models as they were released in hope that they fix its HUGE downfall which is the mapping ability. After countless hours on the phone to support and returning 2 after being faulty I’ve made the switch to the latest Roborock s8 ultra plus. chalk and cheese between the brands!! Roborock has a… Read more ·  1

light map only function which did my huge house in 15 mins (including 3 WAPS which I always thought might give the robot a hard time staying connected). Not only was the map perfect but anything it didn’t get the first time continuously gets updated when it does other cleans. It actually makes it so usable right out of the box I am kicking myself I waited this long. I assume all other Roborock have similar software.

The other great thing compared with my old ecovacs is that it never gets lost or confused. Even if it gets tangled in something I’ve left out it knows where it is and resumes cleaning every time without fail. Never restarts the job or has a tantrum, it just works.

Having the complete unit it amazing as if refills and washes the mop when it needs to. I find that ecovacs did not suck the dust and dog hair from my robot either meaning I had to empty it constantly. I’ve never had to do that with my new Roborock. 10/10.

Mopping function in my opinion is still not quite there, doesn’t use much water so getting rid of stains I imagine would be challenging but coming home every day to a freshly mopped entrance way is amazing. Does the job id expect of a robot tbh.

2 weeks in and still loving it. We have dogs with short hair which it gets all of it. Honestly we can’t fault it much at all. Worth every expensive cent!!!!

Brought this vacuum about 9 months ago. Overall, it does a pretty good job. My issue is after sales service. Very difficult to speak to a person, you get a robot with repeated questions. A year ago I bought S8 MaxV Ultra - it simplified my life so much, and the cleaning is much better than you can achieve manually. So now I bought the other Roborock S8 Pro Ultra for upstairs, it's same quality as S8 MaxV Ultra (just a couple of features missing, i.e. voice commands and camera feed). Show details

I am extremely disappointed with both the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and the company’s after-sales service. The vacuum was used strictly for normal indoor household cleaning and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Despite this, the unit failed and was sent for inspection. Roborock then refused warranty coverage, claiming “liquid… Read more

ingress” and “foreign debris” inside the unit.

This is a vacuum cleaner — a product designed to collect dirt and debris. Using the presence of debris as a reason to void the warranty is unreasonable. No evidence was provided to show misuse, and no explanation was given as to how the alleged liquid ingress could not occur during normal operation, particularly for a premium product that includes mopping functionality.

The company showed no willingness to properly investigate or resolve the issue and instead relied on a blanket warranty refusal. The process felt dismissive and unfair, leaving me with a faulty product and no support.

Based on this experience, I will never purchase another Roborock product. I strongly caution others to think carefully before buying, as warranty support appears unreliable if anything goes wrong.

We moved into our new home in April 2024 and had purchased the Roborock S8 Pro to clean the already new & clean lino. We have no pets or children, so we expected it to clean easily. did one room at a time, but it didn't make a difference. The vibrating half-moon mop seemed inefficient when it came to mopping. We have now put it in the garage to clean the sealed floor, and it does a fair job in there as no mapping is required. It leaves the base and mops the garage floor as a 5/10. We usually run it twice as after the first round we can still see marks. We add a little Spray & Wipe to the stubborn marks just to help the Roborock out. Not what we expected for $2400 AUD.

undisclosed time. I gave videos and pictures showing what is happening - I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have a replacement. If the machine is faulty this early on, why would I want it fixed so soon knowing it will likely cause issues in the future if it already has after 2 weeks. I worked so much overtime to buy this $1900 machine to try and help with my busy life. I might as well just have thrown my money away. It’s not unreasonable to expect after spending that much much to have an actual working product in my home. I’m not an unreasonable person, if I had had the product for a few months, sure I’d be annoyed but I’d send it off. But come on, when it stops doing its job less than 2 weeks after I get it.. Disappointed is an understatement for both Roborock and Harvey Normans handling of the matter. Nothing like ripping off a single mum in this cost of living crisis. So glad I worked those extra 36.5 hours to pay for something that is useless. Between working full time and running 3 kids to their sports everyday who knows when I’ll get a chance to make the hour round trip back to Harvey Norman to even start the process to getting it sent off.

The purchase was done with Paypal and I've opened a case to with them. No response from the shop even when Paypal sent them the case.

With such poor communication, I for sure don't want to keep the device. I don't trust them to provide proper service down the track.
