This is my third pair of Rockport in six years — they’ve consistently delivered comfort, support, and durability. As someone who spends long hours on my feet at work, it's tough to find shoes that truly hold up, but Rockport never lets me down. I recently tried another leather brand that looked great, but it was a pain to wear — ended up returning it and going back to what works. Rockport is well worth the investment. Show details
I purchased a pair from Davies Shoes Mayfield. The leather Rockport pair fell apart after being worn for two hours. The rubber soles started falling apart on both shoes. It's supposed to be a big brand name but typical overpriced rubbish made in China. I paid $99. For them. Show details
The Athletes Foot store at Charlestown may make their money by selling you the wrong size to make you come back. They say that they sold out and that these are the only ones in stock or that they have nothing in your size. Clumsiness happens when you wear a shoe that is too big And also Rockport shoes has a design flaw They have suddenly started… Read more
sewing inside the shoe which has been giving me a mark on my foot. It’s been so bad that I felt it was a spider bite. All the drama was a sewn in tag stitching pushing into my foot That I’ve had to cut it off just to enjoy wearing the shoe that I love. And the other newer ones I can’t wear because they are the wrong size. And I can’t afford to fall over with my Oestoporis. I rely heavily on Rockport shoes for my support for they’re the best shoes for flat feet. I tell everyone that they exist
Do not buy anything from this website – Do not buy from rockportaustraliastores.com They are scammers. I bought a pair of rockport men style priced $71.00 on their website. They didn’t say it’s the price in US dollars so they changed me $114.00 AU dollars. When I received my order, it was a pair of cheap sunglasses. When I contacted the seller I found out that was a chinese online shop.… Read more
When I complained they said the product I ordered was out of stock so when I asked for a refund they said they could only refund 36% of my order value. I did not accept their offer and continued to ask for a full refund. They said 45% was the best they could refund me. I knew that I was scammed and tried to get back what I could so I agree to the 45% that they offered me. It was surely a ripoff! So be aware and do not do any business with this website.
Not the Rockports that they used to be – Bought a pair of Rockport walking shoes 15 years ago and they were amazing. Purchased two more pairs based on that experience and they are of a very poor quality. Pleather behind heel - not leather - and they are flaking to pieces Show details
Rockport Online Customer Service – I have been a loyal Rockport customer for more than 15 years and have been using the Rockport Australia online shopping website for about 8 years. As well as noticing the significant decline in shoe quality I notice an even greater decline in the Rockport online website. For several months now I have been trying to re-order two models of… Read more
Rockport shoes and the website just says "not available". Queries to the customer support email are either ignored and responded to with unhelpful information.
The good news is that I recently googled the two Rockport shoes I wanted and found them available, in the right size, right colour and at a great price, on a number of other online shopping sites, Amazon being the most prominent. I have now unsubscribed from the Rockport emails and delete the bookmark to their online shopping site.
Sad to see what is happening to a once great shoe brand.
Quality decline – I have bought Rockports for more than 25 years. Although prices have increased the quality of the last pair I bought is horrible. I need to find a new brand. See the picture of the shoe "collar".
Terrible customer service!! – Terrible customer service!!! Purchased 2 pairs of shoes, on one pair the right shoe is 1 inch bigger. I was told NO Refunds, but, when I tried to file a claim the website wouldn't let me send the picture they requested of the shoe. No one has contacted me after 3 emails to them. Now I'm stuck with them. Terrible!!
Extremely slppery when it rains – I bought the Rockport Pro- walkers and was very happy with them until it rained. I walked on the stainless steel blind indicators which were wet and fell heavily as my Rockports had no grip at all. I then looked at other stainless steel ground fittings located in Queen Street Mall and everyone I tried the shoes on slipped very easily. These are… Read more
sold as walking shoes and should be stable when its wet as my other brands of shoes are non slip.
I then sent off an email to Rockport Australia saying that these shoes were dangerous in the wet and should change their soul. The reply I got was sorry you didn’t buy the shoes from the Rockport Store so its not our problem. I only wanted to point out how dangerous I believe the sould of the shoes were. I did not ask for a refund and I’m very disappointed in their reply.
Total rubbish for the price! – After being caught out in heavy rain 3 months after purchase, they fell apart. They are no longer "merlot" colour, but a dirty orange and very shabby. I had no advice from Rockport that there is a 12 month warranty, which is poor for a $200 price tag. Do not buy these shoes. I suggest Rockport know they are poor quality!! Show details
Rubbish – I purchased ProWalker NEXT Premium online a few weeks ago. They are rubbish. Very stiff, unbendable, blisters on my heels. The tongue digs into me. No arch support. Don't buy. Show details
Rockport won't help – I submitted photos of casual shoes to Rockport that showed faulty leather. They have had very little use and the leather is lifting and peeling where the bending of the shoe causes creases. I did not keep the receipt and do not remember where it was purchased. The shoes are clearly Rockport's but they will not do anything to rectify the fault. I… Read more
would understand this approach if there was doubt as to their authenticity, but clearly this is not the case.
FIT SIZE UNRELIABLE – Very disappointed with the whole purchase experience. 1. Purchased a pair of Motion City size 10.5, when received they were clearly too large, and subsequently returned to Rockport. No problem. My fault completely. Bit slow, but all OK. 2. Purchased a pair of Prowalker City Blucher size 9.5, perfect fit. Very happy with them. Great, so 9.5 is my… Read more
size with Rockport. 3. Purchased the Motion City again this time in 9.5 after all what could go wrong??? Too big again. You would expect to at least see standardisation and consistency in fit size with a dependable brand such as Rockport. What I've learnt. Try them on first if you can.

Customer service non existent: won't buy again – For the 2nd time I've had issues with ordering online and their online support is non existent. This time my order doesn't seem to have gone through although $ are showing as taken from my card account. Their online feedback is that there's something in my personal or card details they can't cope with! The best they can do is advise me to go to a physical store. Can't talk to anyone online Pathetic!! Never again.
Once a good shoe!! – This use to be a decent brand, made the mistake about a year ago and bought 3 pairs of their shoes from one of the sales, two pairs after wearing for a hand full of times are loosing their soles, and the sandals are really cheaply made. Im wondering how id feel if i had paid full price. This is another brand that has chased the bigger margins at the expense of quality. Show details
Won't buy again – Easy to order online. Not nearly as comfortable as last pair of shoes from rockport. Wanted these shoes for walking but they are uncomfortable. Laces too short. Disappointing Show details
Dangerous shoes – I bought a pair of Rockport Fresh Explore Tie walking shoes. I wanted waterproof comfy shoes for a trip to Canada. The shoes were comfortable, waterproof and well constructed but dangerously slippery on wet footpaths. I emailed Rockport but they couldn't care less. Show details
No longer the quality of shoes they used to be – PURCHASED the K70885 WTMC in November 2019 After being a loyal rockport customer for more than 20 years, and loving the WT Mens Classic, the new shoes made in India (no longer in Vietnam) are a huge letdown. I read reviews about issues of shoes made in the new factory, so contacted Rockport Australia who assured me the problems had been fixed.… Read more
Obviously not. The new WT Classics are smaller. Sole is same size (if not a bit bigger), but the leather upper is about .5cm less ie lower. This means that I can no loner use my orthotics. I assume less leather saves on cost. This means that that your foot does not fit as snug in the shoe as previously. The leather itself is not as pliable which makes it seems tighter, and there is slightly less padding. All in all, a big disappointment. NO, I will not be buying Rockports again. They used to have a winning design and production, but not anymore. A real Shame.
Dont wash the washable shoes – I bought supposedly washable shoes last year and they were not worn until this year. As they became used I decided to wash - by hand. A large black stain appeared on one of the shoes and when I contacted Rockport their reaction was to thank me for giving feedback so they could improve any problems with their manufacturing! I now have a ruined pair of shoes that I can no longer wear out. You dont deserve to be in business.
Rockport Shoes & The Athletes Foot, Eastland, Ringwood, VIC – Very Disappointed! I have been a customer of The Athletes Foot for over 20 years. First a customer at the Knox Store in Wantirna South for about 12 years and then we moved to the Ringwood Store at Eastland Victoria. I have been a customer at the Ringwood store Eastland, for over the last 8 years. I mainly purchase Rockport Men’s World Tour… Read more
(WT) Classic Shoes, Colour Black Tumbled. I used to get 5 years out of a pair of these shoes which at that time they were made in the USA, when I was purchasing along time ago back at Knox. The shoes that were later purchased from Eastland, Ringwood are made in INDIA, VIETNAM and CHINA.
I purchased a pair of Rockport Men’s World Tour Classic Shoes (WT CLASSIC K71185). Colour Black NOIR, Tumbled 3 years ago, Made in INDIA. About a week or so later I purchased the same shoe, but in Chocolate, (WT CLASSIC K52343) Made in Vietnam. About a year or so later I purchased a pair of Allander Black Shoes, (Code K70975) Made in China. This gave me 3 pairs which I were wearing casually at various times. I purchase Rockport shoes as they are deep enough to support orthotic inserts.
The Black Tumbled shoes (WT CLASSIC K71185) that were 3 years old developed a large bubble under the left foot and I new something was wrong. The shoes were in fairly good condition and the soles had a lot of wear left in them. I took the shoes back to the Ringwood store at Eastland, where I left them to be looked at as the staff thought the issue was strange. About a week or so later I received a phone call from the store saying they had sent a photograph of the shoes off and the result was that they weren’t prepared to do anything. I didn’t expect they would replace the shoes, because they were 3 years old, but thought they would have offered a replacement pair at a fair and reasonable discount, considering I was wearing 3 pairs at various times and their was still a lot of wear left in these faulty shoes.
I was very disappointed in the response from The Athletes Foot staff at the Eastland store. Especially considering the years I have been a customer and the reasonable condition of the shoes. I decide to contact Rockport directly and the end result was they could not get involved with a stores decision. I was willing to post the shoes back at my cost so they could be pulled apart for inspection to find out why the left shoe developed a large bubble. The shoes soles had no cuts or holes in them, but they were not interested.
I still love my Rockport Shoes so I purchased a new pair direct from Rockport at a SUBSTANTIAL DISCOUNT. The new shoes (WT CLASSIC K71185) Colour Black NOIR, Tumbled were just great except now the shoe laces are now shorter than they use to be. I guess a cost cutting excise as they are made in INDIA.
I will continue to buy my Rockport Shoes direct NOW from ROCKPORT at a discounted price in the future and I don’t recommend you support The Athletes Foot Store as they don’t stand by their customers in anyway. No wonder why the retail outlet is empty of customers when I visit. Remember if you buy from them you may not get help if you have a problem after a reasonable period of time. They just aren’t really interested.
Total rubbish – I purchased a pair of Rockport black men’s shoes using a gift voucher from my children. These fit fine but now I cannot wear them at all after about 5 sessions. They have become noisy to the point that my office coworkers make comments constantly. I cannot even wear them at home as they are so noisy. I suspect they have reinforced souls which make… Read more
a very loud clicking noise. I have reported it twice to Rockport with photos only to get the same response- dry them out. Maybe they should replace their customer service team along with the poor manufacturing. You have lost this customer for good. Would strongly advise not to buy there product. Total waste of money for over $150. Shop I bought them from no longer sells Rockport. Any wonder why.
Top price, poor quality and warranty – 15 months ago, I purchased a pair of Rockports not only because of their great reputation for fit and comfort, which is well justified, but also because of their build quality. I know about the shoe's quality because my father-in-law always bought Rockports as they lasted forever. Testament to this, is that today I still wear a pair of his… Read more
Rockports which he bought some twenty years ago.
So when my only-15 month-old Rockports developed a hole at one of the seams I was confident that the problem would be fixed. Contrary to my expectations, I was flatly and somewhat abruptly told by the sales person in the Pitt Street, Sydney store that there was only a 12 month warranty. When I pointed out Rockports attract a price premium because they are a top-end product both in terms of function and quality I was rudely told bad luck.
Therefore, my note of caution to a potential buyer of a Rockport product is to be careful for you are paying top dollar for a product which offers only a 12 month warranty and buying from an organisation that is indifferent to giving fair customer service.
