This is my third pair of Rockport in six years — they’ve consistently delivered comfort, support, and durability. As someone who spends long hours on my feet at work, it's tough to find shoes that truly hold up, but Rockport never lets me down. I recently tried another leather brand that looked great, but it was a pain to wear — ended up returning it and going back to what works. Rockport is well worth the investment. Show details
I purchased a pair from Davies Shoes Mayfield. The leather Rockport pair fell apart after being worn for two hours. The rubber soles started falling apart on both shoes. It's supposed to be a big brand name but typical overpriced rubbish made in China. I paid $99. For them. Show details
The Athletes Foot store at Charlestown may make their money by selling you the wrong size to make you come back. They say that they sold out and that these are the only ones in stock or that they have nothing in your size. Clumsiness happens when you wear a shoe that is too big And also Rockport shoes has a design flaw They have suddenly started… Read more
sewing inside the shoe which has been giving me a mark on my foot. It’s been so bad that I felt it was a spider bite. All the drama was a sewn in tag stitching pushing into my foot That I’ve had to cut it off just to enjoy wearing the shoe that I love. And the other newer ones I can’t wear because they are the wrong size. And I can’t afford to fall over with my Oestoporis. I rely heavily on Rockport shoes for my support for they’re the best shoes for flat feet. I tell everyone that they exist
Extremely slppery when it rains – I bought the Rockport Pro- walkers and was very happy with them until it rained. I walked on the stainless steel blind indicators which were wet and fell heavily as my Rockports had no grip at all. I then looked at other stainless steel ground fittings located in Queen Street Mall and everyone I tried the shoes on slipped very easily. These are… Read more
sold as walking shoes and should be stable when its wet as my other brands of shoes are non slip.
I then sent off an email to Rockport Australia saying that these shoes were dangerous in the wet and should change their soul. The reply I got was sorry you didn’t buy the shoes from the Rockport Store so its not our problem. I only wanted to point out how dangerous I believe the sould of the shoes were. I did not ask for a refund and I’m very disappointed in their reply.
Once a good shoe!! – This use to be a decent brand, made the mistake about a year ago and bought 3 pairs of their shoes from one of the sales, two pairs after wearing for a hand full of times are loosing their soles, and the sandals are really cheaply made. Im wondering how id feel if i had paid full price. This is another brand that has chased the bigger margins at the expense of quality. Show details
Dont wash the washable shoes – I bought supposedly washable shoes last year and they were not worn until this year. As they became used I decided to wash - by hand. A large black stain appeared on one of the shoes and when I contacted Rockport their reaction was to thank me for giving feedback so they could improve any problems with their manufacturing! I now have a ruined pair of shoes that I can no longer wear out. You dont deserve to be in business.
Rockport Shoes & The Athletes Foot, Eastland, Ringwood, VIC – Very Disappointed! I have been a customer of The Athletes Foot for over 20 years. First a customer at the Knox Store in Wantirna South for about 12 years and then we moved to the Ringwood Store at Eastland Victoria. I have been a customer at the Ringwood store Eastland, for over the last 8 years. I mainly purchase Rockport Men’s World Tour… Read more
(WT) Classic Shoes, Colour Black Tumbled. I used to get 5 years out of a pair of these shoes which at that time they were made in the USA, when I was purchasing along time ago back at Knox. The shoes that were later purchased from Eastland, Ringwood are made in INDIA, VIETNAM and CHINA.
I purchased a pair of Rockport Men’s World Tour Classic Shoes (WT CLASSIC K71185). Colour Black NOIR, Tumbled 3 years ago, Made in INDIA. About a week or so later I purchased the same shoe, but in Chocolate, (WT CLASSIC K52343) Made in Vietnam. About a year or so later I purchased a pair of Allander Black Shoes, (Code K70975) Made in China. This gave me 3 pairs which I were wearing casually at various times. I purchase Rockport shoes as they are deep enough to support orthotic inserts.
The Black Tumbled shoes (WT CLASSIC K71185) that were 3 years old developed a large bubble under the left foot and I new something was wrong. The shoes were in fairly good condition and the soles had a lot of wear left in them. I took the shoes back to the Ringwood store at Eastland, where I left them to be looked at as the staff thought the issue was strange. About a week or so later I received a phone call from the store saying they had sent a photograph of the shoes off and the result was that they weren’t prepared to do anything. I didn’t expect they would replace the shoes, because they were 3 years old, but thought they would have offered a replacement pair at a fair and reasonable discount, considering I was wearing 3 pairs at various times and their was still a lot of wear left in these faulty shoes.
I was very disappointed in the response from The Athletes Foot staff at the Eastland store. Especially considering the years I have been a customer and the reasonable condition of the shoes. I decide to contact Rockport directly and the end result was they could not get involved with a stores decision. I was willing to post the shoes back at my cost so they could be pulled apart for inspection to find out why the left shoe developed a large bubble. The shoes soles had no cuts or holes in them, but they were not interested.
I still love my Rockport Shoes so I purchased a new pair direct from Rockport at a SUBSTANTIAL DISCOUNT. The new shoes (WT CLASSIC K71185) Colour Black NOIR, Tumbled were just great except now the shoe laces are now shorter than they use to be. I guess a cost cutting excise as they are made in INDIA.
I will continue to buy my Rockport Shoes direct NOW from ROCKPORT at a discounted price in the future and I don’t recommend you support The Athletes Foot Store as they don’t stand by their customers in anyway. No wonder why the retail outlet is empty of customers when I visit. Remember if you buy from them you may not get help if you have a problem after a reasonable period of time. They just aren’t really interested.
Total rubbish – I purchased a pair of Rockport black men’s shoes using a gift voucher from my children. These fit fine but now I cannot wear them at all after about 5 sessions. They have become noisy to the point that my office coworkers make comments constantly. I cannot even wear them at home as they are so noisy. I suspect they have reinforced souls which make… Read more
a very loud clicking noise. I have reported it twice to Rockport with photos only to get the same response- dry them out. Maybe they should replace their customer service team along with the poor manufacturing. You have lost this customer for good. Would strongly advise not to buy there product. Total waste of money for over $150. Shop I bought them from no longer sells Rockport. Any wonder why.
