Terrible customer service with misleading advertising. Don’t bother even messaging with an item.
Would never buy from them again. My bracelet of less than 8 weeks came off twice. I emailed them asking them to please look at the clasp. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. Only after I said I will take it to my owe jeweler to fix they said bring it in if you are ever passing and we will look at it. This should have been offered in the… Read more
first place. $256.00 for a bracelet I cannot wear! I will be telling everyone how bad this company's products and service is.
Had booked a jewellery making class as a Christmas present. Girls who ran the class were lovely and helpful BUT it looks like the company does not pay them enough to set up properly. Hot day. Workshop room was on the top floor. Airconditioning finally kicked in but room was hot for ages. People fanning themselves with anything they could find.… Read more
The advertised course promised mimosas. Instead a few cans of room temperature drinks. No toilet paper. Cheese platter was okay. As this was a gift I was embarassed that I had bought it. They also couldn't find the booking when we went in. This company needs a huge shake up.
I've made 4 shipping orders and purchased 12 products in total from them. I had to contact customer service on 3 issues on their products: 1. They sent me an incorrect necklace size. I reached out to customer service and this was resolved easily from them shipping the correct size to me at no extra cost. 2. After less than 6 months, my… Read more
gold-filled hoops had tarnished at the piercing post, turning grey and dark orange. I reached out to customer service and they informed me that my hoops likely came from a faulty batch and sent me replacements at no extra cost. This shows that they have poor quality assurance on their products and are willing to sell customers jewellery that has not be thoroughly tested, putting responsibility on the customer to reach out to resolve it.
3. I had two ear piercings at their pop-up service. At the time I booked my piercing service on their website, it explicitly stated that I would only have to pay the cost of the earrings and there is no charge for the piercing service itself. However, after my ears were pierced, the cashier informed me that I had to pay $20 per piercing for the service and showed me an updated version of their website that shows this information. I paid the cost at the counter and reached out to customer service online afterwards to ask for a refund, supported by evidence from the Wayback Machine that the website noted that the piercing service is free at the time I booked it. Their first reply showed reluctance to acknowledge the issue was their fault so I reiterated the situation. Then they agreed to refund me the $40 afterwards.
Other problems I've experienced with this company:
1. The person who pierced me at the pop-up was unprofessional and did not give me much detail on piercing aftercare or offer any aftercare products, which proper piercing studios should be doing. When I asked if I could go swimming soon after, they said it was fine. However, swimming with an unhealed piercing or open wound can risk infection and is unsafe.
2. The earrings are overpriced and low-quality. Even the 14k gold gold piercings cause me irritation on healed piercings
3. They have sale promotions almost every day on their social media and website; they likely can afford these offers because they're overcharging customers for their products
4. The reason they have so many positive reviews on their website is because they offer customers a chance to win a discount for leaving review on purchased products
The fact that I've had poor customer service and am unhappy with their lack of quality from just a few orders shows that staff are not appropriately trained and S-kin Studio does not have the experience or level of care required for a reputable jewellery company. I refuse to purchase from them again
MONEY HUNGRY COMPANY!! Terrible experience. Necklaces so SMALL you are forced to purchase an extension to make it wearable. The silver necklace I ordered broke within a day of wearing it. The jewellery looks cheaply made and poor in quality. Temu looks better. Customer service was just as bad. [Name Removed], the “rep”, came across like an AI… Read more
bot with zero empathy or care. They only care until they have your money then you are on your own. Useless service, poor quality and a complete waste of money. Do not buy!!!!!!
I read bad reviews about customer service but based on my experience, they actually have good customer service. I guess the response time is a bit slow due to lack of man power, but when they reply, they are actually very helpful. Shout out to Dee for assisting me.
BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK! This is company that’s clearly all about profit and doesn’t care about there customers. I has TWO errors with my order, one item was missing and one was received with tarnishing marks one it. This was also from there limited edition collection which took time and effort to buy. Instead of compensating for shipping there… Read more
faulty item back to them, I had to pay $40 to the ship the item back. I understand business’s have polices but when it’s fault on the business sides end, as somone who as worked in this Indursty we take accountability and can send return labels. So be WARNED if your buying a product and received it tarnished you will have to pay to send their faulty stock back in order to get a refund. I was sent an email saying they can only reimburse $10 for shipping, but all they did was give me store credit, like why would I want to buy anything again. As excited as I was support a small women and Asian owned business, this was such a disappointing experience
Nice jewellery but poor customer service. I bought 3 bracelets - very small size - I ordered the bigger size but website automatically defaulted to smaller size. I added a note to ask for the bigger size. Small size sent, no apology, denied all knowledge of the note and didn’t offer any solution other than buying an extension chain. I wouldn’t… Read more
have needed an extension chain if they had sent the size I ordered! Poor customer service. Wouldn’t buy from them again. So - update - I did receive a reply from customer service - offered a refund for the extension chains I bought and an apology for the original issue - happy with subsequent customer service - thanks to the team!
DO NOT PBUY FROM HERE! Cheap quality and ridiculously expensive for what you get. Will never use again!
Poor design – Paid an expensive amount for 2 stud earrings with flat backs. They were extremely difficult to put in the ear lobes and because of this I lost one within 2 days. Very disappointed.
Poor quality and worse service – I went to their sample sale. The quality is horrible for the price and the owner lied right to my face regarding pricing. Item was listed for $100 and she said it was $150. I was also told that there were no solid gold pieces on sale at the physical sale but when I messaged their Instagram page they encouraged me to come to the sale with the promise of solid gold items. Completely disappointing overall
Bad experience with no customer service – Bought an alphabet necklace and needed to return due to lenghtwise. Follow their steps of taking a picture of the necklace and submitted, automated email came back to say they have received and will get back to me on how to send back the item. Have waited now more than 10 days and repeated message to them with no reply from them. Really bad… Read more
experience and it’s not what it hyped up to be. Would not even look at their website again, please consider before buying because their after sales service is appalling.
Terrible quality for the price they sell at – Ordered a necklace that arrived 8th July, by the 24th July it broke while I was wearing it - rings at the pendant are incredibly low quality. Emailed customer service and was advised it was “outside the 10 days” for a refund, absolute scam. Better quality out there for way cheaper than the price point of their shoddy crap, save your money

Long-time customer, turned off by terrible customer experience – I've previously purchased items and had no issues. I really love and wear them daily. On my last order, an item arrived damaged, so I emailed their customer support line. Their service process is frustrating on another level. First, you get an automated link to their help desk that suggests related articles to your query and a prompt to 'send… Read more
another email' if none of the articles relate to your problem. None of these articles were relevant so I sent a reply. I got no response from my original query within 24 hrs, so sent another follow-up and got the same annoying 'suggested articles' automated response so had to send another follow up.
Once my query was finally answered by a support rep, they were apologetic but there was no clarity about what would happen next. They asked me to send back the bracelet, at my own expense but didnt really clarify if they would replace, refund, exchange etc, or what to expect.
After sending the item off, I had to chase them AGAIN as Austpost notified me that the item was delivered. They said they'd check if it had been received but then I heard nothing back. I've since emailed for the 6th time to just request a refund because this process is more hassle than the piece is worth. I feel like I wasn't unreasonable in the time I waited between emails - I emailed back and forth for over 2 weeks and left 24-48 hours between emails, longer for weekends. The company has since sent back the repaired item, but this experience has turned me off ordering in future because of the amount of effort and follow-up required. I don’t think my issue would have been resolved without me proactively chasing for an outcome.
If you have no problems with your orders, I think s-skin has some nice stuff. But as soon as you have a problem, it's an uphill battle and some of the worst customer service I've received for a very long time. There are probably places with the same quality that have better customer service for when something goes wrong...
worst experience, pieces turned green in days – They lie about where they craft their jewellery! such a scam website.
Good Customer service – I bought my daughter a Chinese Zodiac gold chain and pendant and the clasp broke. I was sent a brand new chain and not required to return the broken chain. The quality of the pendant and chain have been very good. I also have bought earring gold charms which are very good quality. Show details
SCAM don’t buy – This brand has lied about “designed in australia”. They buy their jewelry from cheap wholesale websites. they even use the wholesalers photos. it costs about $10 per pair and they’re selling them for $100. Such a scam please be careful ❤️
Necklace way too small – Purchased a necklace and bracelet from s-Kin (my body is an average size 14 l, jewellery fits me) and they are both way too small and unwearable. They will take a return on the bracelet, but not the necklace because it had my initial on it and is therefore “custom made”. The only option is to buy an extension chain so I could wear it. But this seems like a scam to me. Would not recommend or purchase from again. Show details
Allergic reaction – Bought a pair of earrings (gold plated) they caused an allergic reaction within a few hours. After some research I found they are made cheaply in India, they refuse to believe they are not hypoallergenic. They deletes negative reviews on all platforms, but they can't here which is why it reflects a more honest picture. Be careful. Show details
Terrible AVOID – Poor quality! Wore an earring for 3 weeks and the stone fell out and post tarnished badly. Contacted them and they said there is no warranty on their jewellery. Very expensive for such poor quality!
Amazing customer service – I purchased some baroque pearl earrings to wear on my wedding day, they are stunning and I absolutely love them! My dog decided he loved them too, so much that he thought he would steal them off the table and give them a cronch. One earring was salvageable but the other was destroyed! I messaged s-kin studios telling them what happened, asking if… Read more
it would be possible to pay to have the pearl replaced so I didn't have to buy a whole new pair. They were super helpful and requested I send back the good earring so they could make sure the pearls matched on either side. They then replaced the earring FREE OF CHARGE! I am absolutely blown away by their amazing customer service! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique piece of jewellery, especially if you own a naughty dog who chooses violence against your belongings.
wrong item, tried getting a refund, but they LIED – S-kin studio had sent me the wrong item and I reached out to them about. They seemed very nice at first, however turns out they had lied to me about them creating a postage barcode for me to send the item to them for a refund. I ended up not being able to get a refund from them because they kept getting back to me telling me I should be receiving the postage barcode in the mail as soon as possible. Do not purchase from them. Show details

NOT ‘skin friendly’ – My sister and I have had piercings for almost 4 years so I had bought 8 pieces in total for us around Christmas last year. At first, I was incredibly excited because they are so beautiful and are advertised to be ‘skin friendly’ and ‘high quality every day jewelry that does not hurt your skin’. After wearing the earrings, my sister’s ears had… Read more
become red and swollen, with pus leaking out from the piercing, and her lymph nodes began to swell and continued to get bigger and she could no longer wear the earrings from s-kin studio. My ears also had a similar reaction however I did not want to let them go to waste because I spent so much money (plus they’re so pretty) so I kept them in for months hoping that it would heal. First, my traguses got infected. I was unable to take any pictures at that time but they became so swollen and thick that the back of the earring was INSIDE my ear. It was SO painful to take out, but I didn’t want my traguses to heal over so I put my old earrings back in and they recovered perfectly fine. i had still kept 4 more of my lobe earrings that I bought because I was hoping that the infection wouldn’t get too bad there… but I was wrong. All of the remaining 4 earrings got infected, the skin around the earrings started to swell and flake and the same thing that happened to my traguses happened to my lobe piercings. Also note: my lymph nodes had also been swollen from keeping these earrings in for about 1.5months. I have attached photos of my ear when I first started wearing these earrings plus just yesterday.
Such a beautiful necklace and fast delivery – I purchased a 'letter' necklace gold filled as a gift for a friend. It's absolutely gorgeous and want one for myself now. Purchased Friday night and arrived Wednesday morning from interstate. Really loved the packaging and handwritten note. Will definitely by again! Show details
Poor finish and allergic reactions – I’ve waited a while to do this review in the hopes that allergic reactions I’ve had would settle down. Unfortunately they’ve occurred again and again each time I wear these earrings. These are gold filled earrings, which I wouldn’t expect to cause any issues - I don’t have any issues with lovisa gold plated cheapies so thought that these $100+… Read more
earrings would cause no dramas. Unfortunately I’ve ended up with pus from each piercing every time I’ve worn them. The craftsmanship at the clasp is also horrible, it’s bumpy and looks unfinished. For what they’re charging, I’m disappointed the quality is so poor
Deletes negative reviews – Left a review on their website that their earrings caused an allergic reaction, but were beautiful. I considered this important as they are listed as hypoallergenic. Company contacted me asking for pictures, I let them know I didn't want to put them back in and cause a reaction for a picture. I don't even know why they would need one? In any… Read more
case they deleted my review from their website. I posted it again, they deleted it again.
There are few reviews for their products, makes me wonder how often they are doing this.
Horrific customer service with no understanding of Australian Consumer Law - avoid if you can – I'd give this place 0/5 if I could. They do not understand consumer law, as evidenced with my dealings with their customer service team. I have requested (multiple times) a refund for the item that they insist has been delivered but in fact has not. I have communicated with them consistently over the course of the past week about this & they… Read more
initially didn't even bother to check with the courier company as to the whereabouts of the item. They're now telling me they "think it's lost" but that I have to "wait and see". I've already waited over a week for an item that was due for express post (Melbourne to Melbourne). They refuse to listen to the information I have provided them in multiple emails & screenshots, and insist that I continue to wait, despite the fact that Australian consumer law states that issues of this nature are not for the consumer to bear the burden of. These issues are to be resolved between the merchant and the other businesses with whom they have contracts for manufacturing, delivery, etc. AVOID S-KIN STUDIO. Also the bit about "1% for the planet" (plastered all over their website & in their advertisement emails) really annoy me because they're quite happy to make disabled people jump through hoops in order to avoid refunding us and constantly prioritise people over profit. It boggles me how businesses like this can say they're for the planet when they'd rather make a buck than do the right thing by the human inhabitants of said planet. Honestly, just buy your jewellery elsewhere, there are a plethora of great sellers on Etsy.
