at your Rhodes Store who's name is Fadia. It would be remiss of me not inform you of just how professional, supportive and caring Fadia is. She is just outstanding and I can tell. Fadia has the human personality of a seraph, she's down to earth, she listens and understands and answer question before the question is asked. I cannot praise her enough. I left the stor with my new rare Citizen Satellite GPS Watch after a exhausting attempt to find this watch which started with Sabin. Sabin is also very special. If it wasn't for Sabin two important things would not have occurred. Firstly, Sabin located this watch I purchased from Linda & Co Jewellers, through the most unusual circumtances, which ultimately paved the way for me to own this special limited edition watch. Sabin is just outstanding, easy to converse with as it was with Fadia who ultimately finished of the purchase. Linda & Co you have two very special dedicated staff members who represent Linda & Co as if they own the business. Please don't loose them. I work for the Australian Federal Police and they would fit nicely into the AFP. That's just how good these two people are. James Prentice

Their professionalism is unmatched, yet they make you feel like you're collaborating with old friends rather than just business partners. What I appreciated most was their relatability. They took the time to truly understand my vision and aspirations for the product, and then worked tirelessly to bring it to life. The quality of their work – simply impeccable. Every detail, from the design to the final product, exceeded expectation. If you're looking for a partner to turn your vision into reality, look no further than Pure Envy – you won't be disappointed.

for a response. When they finally replied, I was simply told to submit a refund request.
I explained that I didn't want a refund—I wanted the item I had actually purchased. I was then told it had sold out and that my only options were a refund or store credit. The problem is that I purchased the item during the EOFY sale, so the refund amount won't even be enough to buy the same item again at full price. Why should I be disadvantaged because of their mistake?
After receiving no reasonable resolution, I decided to request a refund instead because I no longer want to deal with this company. Since submitting the return request, I have emailed multiple times and sent messages through their online chat, yet I have received no response whatsoever. I still haven't been told how to return the incorrect item or what the next steps are.
To make matters worse, they have advised that they will only refund the cost of the item and not the original shipping costs. This is completely unacceptable. I did not change my mind or order the wrong product—they sent me the wrong item. I should not be left out of pocket because of an error that was entirely theirs.
The lack of communication, slow response times, and unwillingness to properly resolve a mistake they made has been incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

turn down. Very glad I purchased through Starbuy - was an excellent purchasing experience start to finish! Extremely prompt and efficient with getting the order ready for collection next-day in-store at Alexandria - also itself a very polished and professional retail experience; I felt very VIP needing to be buzzed access into the showroom, and Deepak was very warm and accomodating during my visit. I was also kept abreast of the order progress through multiple prompt emails, including the factory warranty already being submitted before I picked up the watch. Starbuy is a third-generation business that clearly understands the business of selling quality timepieces; I'd be only too happy to recommend others purchase their watches from this business! In fact - I recommended Starbuy to my father, who then used Starbuy to purchase a much more expensive Bulova Lunar Pilot "snoopy", and he was also equally impressed with the rapid purchase process and after-sales support. Following the success of these two orders I have also recommended a few of my discerning watch-buying friends check out Starbuy when they're next in the market for a new piece, and will continue to do so. Thanks Starbuy & Deepak - two very happy purchases so far!

from the store in February. Within two weeks I noticed that my automatic watch was not working as intended (losing/gaining time consistently despite all day wear). I brought it back to the store and raised my concerns with the team who then sent it off to the Seiko workshop, with a lead time of 8 weeks.
Three months later, I received my watch & was told that there were no issues identified and it works as intended. I was then advised on how to take better care of my watch. Within 2 weeks, the same issues arose, but now the watch also stops every night despite all day wear. I had taken extra care to abide by the advice of automatic watch care (keeping it away from electronics, wearing it as much as possible etc.). With this, I decided to take my concerns to Shiels head office, who then also sent me the manual on how to take care of my watch.
Despite countless phone calls with the Chermside team requesting a refund/change of goods, it was not until I left the watch in store overnight for observation in June that I felt like the team actually believed my concerns. I first raised my concerns in March, and received my first offer of a refund today at the end of financial year (21/06).
I was especially disappointed in Shiels lack of customer focus and support, which made this refund process a lot longer and more frustrating than it needed to be. An in store staff member was especially condescending and dismissive. When my sister and I tried to raise our disappointment with our experience at Shiels, she flatly stated that (at least) “you received your refund, I’m not sure what else you want us to do.”
While Shiels offers good discounts, this experience has taught me that I would happily pay a premium if it meant I received working products, decent client service and was treated like my business was valued. For anyone looking to make an investment into some jewelry, I don’t recommend doing your shopping at Shiels.

Types of jewellery stores
Looking for a jewellery store to buy your next piece (or gift) can be daunting because there's so much choice out there. We narrow stores down to three main types - you can read the pros and cons of each to see which one you might prefer supporting.
Chain jewellery stores
Chain jewellers are often the ones you see advertising on TV and radio. A lot of the time, the jewellery these stores make is mass-produced, and so are often cheaper but lower quality. These stores will often have a large choice in store and lots of inventory, so there's little chance of you seeing a style and then it being completely sold out.
While being considered more affordable, often chains will also sell higher end jewellery for those who want a more luxe piece.
Independent jewellery stores
Independent jewellery stores usually create a more personal experience when you shop. There is often a jeweller on site who you can meet and discuss your options with.
Online jewellery stores
Online jewellery stores are usually cheaper than independent jewellery stores, and depending on the store, may even be cheaper than a lot of chains. Quality, price range and service varies from store to store.
What to consider when choosing a jeweller
Product range
The first thing you should consider is what you're looking for. Often stores will have a particular 'style' of jewellery they sell, which can help you easily figure out whether you think you'll find something there for you.
It's also worth considering looking at specialty stores if you're after specific, such as a dainty engagement ring or a watch with an unusual aesthetic. The staff here will often have more unique knowledge in the type of jewellery you're after.
Quality and authenticity
Depending on what you want to buy, quality and authenticity may be a deciding factor when choosing a jewellery store. If you're buying something with diamonds, are the diamonds GIA-certified? Is your piece of jewellery laser-inscribed with a serial number for security purposes? Does the store provide certification papers?
If you're buying a more luxury item, it's worth checking if the jeweller is part of reputable industry organisations, such as the Jewellers' Association of Australia and the Gemmological Association of Australia.
Budget
A piece of jewellery can cost anything from a few bucks to thousands and thousands of dollars, so it's a good idea to have some sense of what you want to spend before going shopping. Of course, your idea of budget may change once you've seen the quality, style and price range of what's in store.
Customer service
Different stores will have differing levels of customer service. In some stores, you'll be left to peruse at your leisure, while others may have an attendant who can walk you through all the possible options for you.
It's important to also consider after-sales service, particularly for more expensive items. Many jewellers will offer free lifetime cleaning services and jewellery inspection for more valuable pieces. Ensure you know about the returns and warranty policies if you're splashing out some savings on something more pricey.
Read reviews to see what a store's customer service is like
It's hard to tell before going in store to determine what kind of service you'll receive when you shop. That's why reading customer reviews is so important. Read up on how helpful and friendly staff were, whether or not they were pushy to make a sale, and how they communicated when something went wrong or there was an issue with a purchase.
Popular brands to look out for
There are many Australian and international brands that are popular. In addition to scrolling through the top-rated jewellery stores and brands on ProductReview.com.au, it's worth checking out popular shops to see what all the fuss is about.
Affordable jewellery shops and brands
Buying stylish jewellery doesn’t always mean you have to spend hundreds. Here are some popular shops and brands to consider:
- Lovisa: an inexpensive, trendy chain jewellery shop popular with kids, tweens and young adults.
- Colette Hayman: an affordable chain jewellery store that also sells handbags.
Mid-range jewellery shops and brands
These shops and brands sell mid-range items, and usually have pieces you can buy for under $100 as well as more luxe jewellery:
- Michael Hill: a chain jewellery store selling silver and gold jewellery, as well as watches, engagement and wedding rings.
- Prouds: a slightly more affordable chain jewellery brands that specialises in gold and silver jewellery, watches, and giftware.
- Angus & Coote: another chain jewellery brand that sells a range of styles.
- Zamel's Jewellery: a chain jewellery store that sells pieces starting from $10 to select pieces around $20,000 and higher.
- Goldmark: a more budget to mid-range chain jeweller.
- Swarovski: a brand specialising in crystal jewellery and accessories, as well as jewellery with gemstones.
- Pandora: a popular jeweller that's known for their charm bracelets.
- Mimco: Mimco sells statement jewellery as well as bags and wallets.
Luxury jewellery shops and brands
You'll likely have to fork out quite a bit for these brands:
- Tiffany & Co.: an American luxury jewellery brand that's known for its sterling silver and diamond jewellery, as well as it's signature blue packaging.
- Designers like Chanel and Louis Vuitton also sell high-end jewellery.
Conclusion
Overall, whether you’re on the hunt for dainty sleeper earrings or gold bangles, buying good-quality jewellery doesn’t always mean you have to drain your bank account to do so. There are many different stores and brands catering to different budgets and occasions, as well as different styles and personalities.
