red mark came back. It's worst. Took him to doctor again and he said lost of baby had same problem and it will be gone when they grew up. When he was 6 months old, I changed to S26 original 2 then the poo really really hard, red mark was all over the body. He was itchy and scratched himself so much, couldn't have a good sleep. I tried many difference cream for him such as QV, Curash, Aveeno, nothing worked. I just changed the formula to Nan Optipro 2 two weeks ago. I can see the different after couple days. No more red mark, no more itchy, no more hard poo. I should change the formula for my son sooner.

Didn't agree with my baby – We chose S26 since our first baby was fine with it. Unfortunately our second baby wasn't. Gave him constipation. We tried him on it for a week and abit but all his poos were so hard.  Show details

was thriving for 7 months on this formula prior to the change/rebrand. After insisting with their customer services, the lady told me they have reduced the VitA - this is not obvious from the new packaging and no one in the store can tell you what's different - major stockists- where's the education and training - I've asked in 3 stores and none could explain change! Very poor customer experience esp on babies primary food!

I've tried multiple tins, to no avail, experience has been the same on all fronts, all of the above applies.

I will not be buying the new rebranded formula as I firmly believe it's more than just VitA that's changed. As a mum when your making bottles around the clock - you know when something is different!

They try to tell you there will be variation in every tin -

I've had no varriation in 7 months and I've brought the S26 Newborn Gold formula from different stores!

The last two tins I brought (rebranded formula) - were consistently different to the old formula. Smell, odour and consistency - both tins the same and both completely different to old formula - so they've definitely changed something.

They have definitely tinkered with it. I'm stuck as this is what I've used and I don't particularly want to change. I've had to search for old stock!!!

Completely deceiving and to me why change the recipe of the formula - if it's working???

I'm sure it has all to do with the manufactures bottom line and them making more money! Not customer centric at all.

I found a store that had the old stock and would you believe I've had to stockpile tins!

To any new mums - go with karie care Aptimal gold - don't trust S26 - there is no loyalty transparency or honesty. I'm sooooo upset with them as this is what we feed our babies!!!

No explanation, stores have no knowledge, customer services kept going around and around with no real interest to address my concerns.

I only commenced with S26 as this is what the hospital was using (they rotate between this nann and karrie care).

And how about testing new formula or evidence of - no, customer service rep could not assist with this. Just kept stating a motherhood statement that testing had been carried out but could not provide any details.

I don't think this is the product it use to be. Be sure to do your checks!!!

I don't normally write reviews but newborns are DELICATE - I expressed as my baby was in ICU, I never had an abundance of milk, I topped up with S26 as this is what the hospital was using and naturally when we brought our beautiful baby home I carried in with S26 as she seemed to be tolerating it well.

Now it actually stinks, my baby does not like it. If I can't find old stock - I've no other option to change.

Letting new mums know as I'd love this insight esp when it comes to baby food!

Keep away from it, is my suggestion!

for hygiene purposes to have somewhere to put the scoop in the tin so you don't have to put hands into the powder to retrieve it. A non-touch system would be better.

We use S26 as a supplement of one bottle at night to give everyone a bit of extra sleep while breastfeeding during the day. Baby sleeps very soundly after his bottle with no concerns.

We have had no issues with upset tummy or constipation like other reviews, but again, we only use it for one feed per day. There has been a definite decrease in frequency of his bowel motions since adding formula, so perhaps it may constipate other babies. It actually worked in our favour as there are less explosive breast milk poops requiring frequent full wardrobe changes, and has created some regularity with his movements.

Overall, everyone is happy. Pretty fuss free all round. Happy the product is from NZ, as I would only buy Australian or New Zealand standard baby formula.

feeding on a bottle. So there right from the start Gab feeds on breastmilk and formula. S26 original was the milk the doctor recommended. And so we bought it and we are just soo happy with Gab's reaction to it. Gab was feeding very well with this formula, sleeps through the night undisturbed, my neighbors would even ask me how I manage it with my kid and how's he's not crying all the time like most kids are.

My mom used to tell me that when a kid is not fussy and cry all the time, that means he is not having any discomfort at all, not sick and not feeling any kinds of pain in his body. Which I think is true! Gab, had been gaining weight in the right proportions with his height, never been sick even without vitamins or other supplements. (I committed to a chemical free lifestyle for my kiddo. I did and will not introduce any other chemicals to him until he's 6 months old when his tummy or kidneys is developed enough to handle the chemicals found on the meds) And I am just so happy about it until now he's four months old. He is also developing very well mentally based on my observation. I am a very hands on mom and I read a lot of books on developmental milestone of a baby at every stage in his life. And I should say he's doing very good! He curious all the time, he likes interacting to people even at 2 mos old. Great, affordable formula – We started our newborn on this formula as a top up measure. It did a great job. For no particular reason we then changed to NAN Supreme 1 just to try it. We didn't join the dots initially but our bub started getting eczma and green, smelly poos. These symptoms have started going away since we reverted back to the S26. difference within 48 hours. It was also annoying that the scoop was 60ml so you had to estimate 30ml when you wanted to make a 90ml or 150ml bottle.

Reaction – I tried my breastfed baby on this for a night top up and she had a eczema type break out rash all over her body and her poos changed and has white specks through them. Really gassy and Just an unhappy baby. Show details

Worst formula! – Used this formula with my other 3x children and no issues however my newborn from birth-2wks was very unsettled, waking up every 1-2hrs. Its a shame this product use to be great however since its been made in Mexico not NZ its a terrible product! Life Saver! – We tried so many formulas such as NAN Optipro, NAN Comfort, Aptamil Gold, Aptamil Reflux. None of them seemed to work, my baby was always in discomfort, crying and unable to digest it. which makes babies poo dark green so I switched to just the Original and haven't turned back. Baby loves it, easy on her tummy, helps her poo easily, not much gas, no wind issues and no silent reflux. So so happy with this formula and it's price is a perk! So grateful that my baby has taken to it.

Don't buy the one made in Mexico – Bub loved it since birth. It was made in NewZealand. But the Mexico made gave him terrible constipation. Stores don't sell NZ made anymore. We switched to a different brand. Show details

Perfect for my babies – My 3 month old was exclusively breastfed until 10 weeks old, we tried Karicare but made my bub constipated. Mexican rubbish – Had been giving the s26 newborn which was made in NZ to our son and it was great no issues what so ever slept through all night. From the night we first gave him the new product made in mexico he squirmed with stomach pains all night and woke every hour, it seems like the new product hardly mixes in water. Very dissapointing. MEXICAN rubbish – Since moving production From New Zealand to Mexico in March 2019, this product is shocking. Doesn't dissolve in the water and causes constipation to our 5 month old. It used to be great, new formula is terrible – This formula was the only thing that suited my reflux baby, however they’ve just started making it in Mexico and the formula isn’t the same. It’s clumpy, doesn’t dissolve as well and sediment falls to the bottom of each bottle. I’m so disappointed. S26 Original has been amazing – We tried s26 gold first, unfortunately this did not agree with my little ones stomach changed over to karicare from recommendations but Bub didn’t like the taste. A1 – I have been using S26 for over 15 years with all of my children and my mother used it for me and my siblings... I have never had an issue with this formula... S26 is a trusted household name... It's easy to prepare, and good value for money... Would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone​ planning to bottle feed their baby

Good – Tried the S26 gold first, but baby had difficulty with constipation, switched to the original and nil issues. Baby enjoys it without side effects, growing well and price is good. It is confusing buying formula as so many options but at the end of the day they are all safe and baby will thrive on it, just have to find one that suits baby and just stick with it.

Back to the Original – Our little one is 2 weeks old and having issues with allergy for the last 3 days; mainly around the faces. After consultation with St John of God we have two options; for now we will trial on S26 Original due to a lower Iron content. The preparation is the same as our previous formula; 60mL per scoop Our little one got no issue with the new formula, the feeding still the same, but the best part the allergy starting to reduce.

Best choice ! – I purchased s26 original newborn for my son, he took to it great and then we went in to purchase the progress stage for him . Now with our second child, we have brought it again . It is quick and easy to make up and we have had no bad side effects .

Bubs is enjoying this! – This product is easy to prepare. I bought this to fill in gaps between breast feeding as my son is a massive eater and very demanding. I want to keep breast feeding... so this is a perfect price point and a quality product to meet our current new born needs.

Great formula – After trying a few different formulas that didn't agree with my son's tummy, this one is the only one that was gentle enough without making him constipated. Very easy to prepare and no frothing. The scoop sizes come in 60ml incriments which is a good size for us. Definitely recommend.

Worked for us! Mix fed from birth – Have found this formula to work well for us, baby has been mix fed since birth - I had GD and babies blood sugar came back too low on third reading. Hospital gave baby formula to boost blood sugar and we took note of the brand - S26 regular. Have mix fed now for 10 months and no issues ever. Have avoided gold as extra iron isn’t an issue for us.

Slightly more expensive but well worth it – We first began using a cheap brand formual but Bub wasn't taking the bottle so we changed over to a different brand and that one too didn't work until we tried the S26 original which bingo it worked first Time given the bottle and she went off back onto drinking the bottle if not drinking more we think now
