Great capsule for baby- drive at ease know baby is safer than houses – I purchased the Baby safety capsule for my first born as I believed it to be the safest available- the same style of capsule has been available for nearly 30 years, so it's obviously got merit in the design as a safe capsule. We used it for seven months until my son preferred a convertible rear facing seat. It was convenient when shopping- place… Read more ·  1

in the trolley for small shops and superb when out for dinner with friends- place on the floor of the restaurant and he slept like a log. Also great when out visiting friends- we managed to attend movie nights at friends houses and could put him to bed in it.

It's easy to use- click into base and attach tether strap. Easy to install in the car. Handles make it easy to carry from car to inside house. Removing from the car kept it cool when we only had a carport- no putting baby in a hot car seat.

It is a little heavy when baby is in it and not particularly suitable for use when Mum has had a recent c/section- though I didn't drive until the 6 week check up, after which my Dr gave the ok to lift bub in the capsule. Convenient so you don't need to wake a sleeping baby. Handles aren't designed to be easy to carry for longer than a couple of Minutes. Doesn't form a travel system (doesn't fit into a pram)

Easy use, and safe for baby – this safe n sound polo capsule is simple to use and remove from base the seat unit itself is narrow but we do find the base unit has a weird wide part that goes on the back rest of rear seat and not the best fit in new cars with their contouring of seats so have had to roll a large towel to have it fitted correctly and stable but that said it's… Read more

length is great from back to front as it fits well length ways in our small car behind the front passenger and the front seat is all the way back and still not touches the capsule unit so front passenger is no cramped in the car as well! the capsule is rated high in safety aspects but does only fit up to a 9 kg child which i would have liked the practicality of it it and child rear facing in the capsule longer but will have to at that stage get another car seat that can keep child rear facing longer. we are happy with the capsule just wish the base unit was a little narrower at the back part that sit up against the cars rear seat back. it's easy to get in and out of car though and has great high walls around baby. safe, easy to take in and out of car with sleeping baby and short lenght great for small cars wide base at the rear does not fit well in alot of new cars with very contoured rear seats

Capsules are wonderful – I used this capsule for my 3rd baby after having a caesarean i didn't want to be lifting pram in and out of boot all the time. I had 2 young children (2 and 3 years old) when baby was born so we were out and about a lot so used the capsule in the car and to carry baby when we left the car. I never understood the point of spending the money on a… Read more

capsule that was only used for approx 6 months then needing to buy a rear facing seat, then a forward facing seat and eventually a booster. I thought it was a unneeded expense with my 1st two children however after using with my 3rd child i learnt how easy and beneficial a capsule is. My advice would be purchase a capsule and use as long as possible then purchase a convertible rf/ff seat then when child reaches max limits forward facing purchase a booster.

I love Safe N Sound Prouducts the convenience of being able to take baby in the capsule when arriving at destinations It would be nice if capsules and rearfacing seats could be used over the 9 and 12kg limits as i believe rearfacing is so much safer for little ones and should be done for as long as possible.

Did the job! – I rented one of these from our local Family Centre while baby was under 6 months old. It was certainly functional and did the job. Was great to be able to take the whole capsule out when baby was asleep and not have to wake her. Bit of a pain trying to pull her out from between the two overhead straps each time (or under the the very tight over… Read more

head straps instead). It also would have been nice to have more padding internally cause her head rolled around a fair bit. We ended up having to put blankets either side of her when she was very little little. Safe, convenient, did the job. A bit clumsy to put bub in and out, and needs a little more padding internally.

Fantastic - perfect for mum of twins! – Safe-n-Sound Capsule is a necessity if you have multiples. I go to my parents place every week & it's great to not have to get the pram out just to get the girls inside the house. When they've had their bath & dinner bottle and are asleep for the night, I can easily transfer them into the capsules & then to the car. When I get home I can then… Read more

Ok – I found this hard to get in and out of the holder, there's a clip that catches your fingers. I actually found it easier to pick bub up out of it so it kind of defeated the purpose. It was ok, it was fine for transporting bub in the car Akward, hard to get in and out of the holder, I lost quite a bit ofnakin having my hands punched by various parts.

Bad – I probably won't use this for our next baby. Baby grows out of it very quickly. Long before he was 6 months old I had to stop carrying him around in the booster because the handles would bend with the weight of him. The seat belts looked uncomfortably tight. Also not sure if as safe as some other boosters available because there's no protection… Read more

around the head area. It's not difficult to strap baby in the booster though. Also, since you can only really use it for 6 months, I'd rather get a proper car seat that lasts beyond this. Could take it in and out of the car if needed Not big enough to last the whole 6 months comfortably!

OK – The capsule made getting out and about with a newborn very easy, and gave us a very portable spot for him to sleep in when out. We have a small 2-door car, and were able to fit the capsule in easily (not many carseats fit in in a reverse-facing position). We did find that we needed extra head support for him for the whole time. Our baby was on the… Read more

'big' (but not huge...) side and grew out of it at 4 months. While it was very helpful, it would not be worth the money to buy one new due to the potentially short use you get out of them. Great for transporting a sleeping infant around, able to fit in a small car. Doesn't last long, minimal head support

Beautiful and comfy for my baby – Absolutely it's easy to carry It sure is compatible with a car and pram My baby Bella-Lee fits as snug as a bug in a rug she sleeps so well in the capsule and luvs the car ride sometimes I think she likes sleeping in the capsule than her crib.  Show reply

Its sturdy, but heavy and not very practical – We hired this capsule from our local ambulance station. This capsule is great and it does the job. We have not had an accident, but it did get the job done and our baby was kept 'safe n sound' the only problems i really encountered and think should be worked on is the lack of padding and support on the inside. Bubs head rolls around quite a bit.… Read more

Also the overhead straps are quite annoying. I find the capsule quite heavy (especially for my wife) so its not very practical to take it out and move it around when your out in town. The carseat can be removed which can be handy to take into the house to put bub in and then to put back into the car - compared to trying to weave baby in between overhead belts. sturdy, safe heavy,

uncomplicated and safe – I hired mine from a local company. It seemed to be a very safe capsule. It was very easy to install, I took the whole thing in and out a couple of time to clean it (It cleaned easily) and the car. I had a little sun shade with mine too so I could put it up in the car or when it was out. The ability to carry the capsule out of the car if baby was asleep. It can be a little difficult getting the straps done up.

Safe and easy to use – I rented this capsule from the Council when my baby was born. I found it great to use with a newborn and was reassured by the fact that it was extremely safe. Safe baby seat and very handy – This was hired from qld ambulance and fitted by them too. Great seat, easy to use and fantastic for taking older kids to school. Was heavy on the arm once bub started growing. It is a shame my baby grew out of it alot sooner than I had hoped (before 6mths) as my children are tall. Inexpensive especially when hiring Grew out of it to quickly in my opinion.

Fantastic product! – I wish I had bought this capsule when we had baby #1, but I thought capsules were a unnecessary expense when I could just buy a convertible seat instead. only did it allow us to take baby in and out of the car without waking her, but I also had a lot more peace of mind knowing that her capsule was stable and rated very highly for safety in the CREP reports. Excellent – This is a no frills capsule that is not stringent on the safety features. There is a reason why this capsule has been ranked number 1 in the RTA NREP continually. Even though this unit doesn't have all the latest gadgets like inbuilt speakers and shade cover, it is number 1 in safety. I would recommend this unit to everyone. Considering that… Read more

Loved it – I used this capsule for my daughter from birth to 12 months. She's a small baby and at 12 months was 8.8kgs and 70cms. Loved that I could take her out of the car without her waking. Excellent – Great car seat! And will be using again for our next baby due in September. Although it depends on the size of your baby, we had to move up to the next car seat when our son was 5 months. Excellent – This is a really good car seat and i would recomend it, it is so easy to go visiting as you have a car seat and rocker in one. Good – I have used this capsule for both babies and have found it fantastic. I love at you can take it out when the baby is asleep. The only down side is as it baby gets heavier it becomes more difficult to slot the seat in correctly. I am not sure if they have changed the belt design yet but you have to have both buckles into the slot at the same time.… Read more

I find it much easier to be able to do it one at a time like my other baby seats are set out. The lining is sasily removed and washed. I do find I have trouble with the belt twisting from time to time. Mine was borrowed from a friend but I know that Red Cross hire them out for a reasonable amount. Great to be able to take baby out of the car while they are sleeping. Having said that though mine would normally wake when I did this. However if you are doing a fast trip to the shop at least you don't have to get the pram out of the boot. High safety rating. Can be difficult put capsule back into car when baby gets bigger. The belt buckle is a bit tricky.

Good – If this is your first child I would definitey buy one of these as it's a great investment. Good – Nice simple design which is easily hired from services around Australia. It's not the most compact option for a newborn, but certainly not the most bulky and the convenience of keeping baby asleep and avoiding a pram for short trips and visits is really helpful. able to take baby in and out of the car without waking, and without needing to use a pram for quick trips to the shops etc. Bulkier than some car seats, and the capsule gets heavy with a 4+ month old to carry around. Buying capsules isn't the cheapest way to go because baby can only stay in them to around 6-8 months (longer for some, but not most) - hiring is probably the best option.

Good – I'd recommend this capsule to new mums - it's very safe and also lightweight for moving newborns. I will be using this again for Baby Number 2. Being able to put bub into and out of the car while she was asleep. The safety ratings. It took a bit of working out initially - getting the capsule locked in. However after a while it seemed veer quick and easy to do.

Excellent – Safest capsule on the market in Australia, as far as I know. That has to be the most important consideration. Easy to use (after a bit of practice). Excellent – This has been really great. Baby is very comfortable in it which is handy if going out for lunch as he can sit in the capsual on a chair at the table and still be part of the action without taking up all the room that a pram does. Good – I've been very happy with my decision to hire this capsule, well worth the small hire fee. If I was to have another child I would hire it again. Excellent – This was such a great piece of equipment for us. We hired it for six months & our (small) baby only just grew out of it at that age. I will hire it again for our next baby. Good – I would recommend this capsule to someone who was adamant they wanted a capsule, as it definitely does it's job and is affordable. remembering however, the baby cannot be carried around in a convertible car seat. Easy to get baby in and out of. Could put baby in capsule in house and then take out to car which meant I didn't have to mess around with straps in the car. Could carry baby from car to house or shops in capsule. From what I've heard is the safest capsule out there. No head support for bub. Capsule became very heavy quite quickly as baby got older. Weight aside, my baby grew out of it length and straps wise by about 4 months. Was often difficult to unclip from car and sleeping baby would usually wake anyway.
