that they could talk to somebody who could answer their queries and not just stand at the front door with their mobile phone attached to their ear. The majority of house sales are generated online through RE.com so once you are listed there you don't require an agent. Too easy!!!!!

The process was quite easy to initiate with the help of SBHO. I was quite surprised about the success of it. I was worried about writing a good detailed description of the home for the advertising, but the IA tool was amazing & very simple to use. with just my phone.(I’m not real tech savvy either)If you have a computer/laptop it might be easier. I only have one complaint, I did email SBHO to change my phone number but that never happened, I did a follow up email but still nothing changed. So I unfortunately had to keep that phone on when I didn’t want it. You definitely need a conveyancer to do the legal work but everything else was definitely worth saving the commission on your sale. All the prospective buyers said how nice it was to talk to the owner of the home, not the real estate agent. I would highly recommend selling your own home.

I would recommend selling your home with SaleByHomeOwner. The process of setting up the advertising website was easy and advice was on hand if needed. You can choose different packages in terms of advertising, signs etc. I got a professional photographer to take photos, but you could also take your own to upload. I was happy with the sale price I got and the whole process, and I saved several thousand in agent fees. Show reply

Posted my land for sale and was under contract is 36 hours. The process to set up was easy but the contract part was left up to me as you can't download a copy of a current residential sale document on line. It is required to be purchased and posted - which didn't work for our quick sale. I ended up paying my conveyancer to supply. I feel it should be a process all the way to completion and not 80% there
I was able to sell my house for an agreed price within 8 days of listing through Sale By Homeowner. They offered helpful advice to a first time seller and the tools necessary to achieve our goal. By not paying a Real estate agent close to $20000 to do little in a very hot market, it gave me more flexibility when negotiating a sale price. I don't think I will ever need an agent again.
