I only have one complaint, I did email SBHO to change my phone number but that never happened, I did a follow up email but still nothing changed. So I unfortunately had to keep that phone on when I didn’t want it. You definitely need a conveyancer to do the legal work but everything else was definitely worth saving the commission on your sale. All the prospective buyers said how nice it was to talk to the owner of the home, not the real estate agent. I would highly recommend selling your own home.

I would recommend selling your home with SaleByHomeOwner. The process of setting up the advertising website was easy and advice was on hand if needed. You can choose different packages in terms of advertising, signs etc. I got a professional photographer to take photos, but you could also take your own to upload. Posted my land for sale and was under contract is 36 hours. The process to set up was easy but the contract part was left up to me as you can't download a copy of a current residential sale document on line. It is required to be purchased and posted - which didn't work for our quick sale. I ended up paying my conveyancer to supply. I feel it should be a process all the way to completion and not 80% there

I was able to sell my house for an agreed price within 8 days of listing through Sale By Homeowner. They offered helpful advice to a first time seller and the tools necessary to achieve our goal. We had no trouble selling our house, went under contract in 2 days. The Buyer bought it site unseen. Maybe I could have asked for more but we got a fair price we believe based on the market, no 2.5% fee, we talked the buyer into getting the agreement written up that way it shows they are serious.

Considering the price you pay and the price you avoid paying with agents, this is a complete no brainer if you are looking to sell or rent out your property.
