Salty Captain

Beyond the worst product I've ever used. All of the flimsy plastic peices split on first use under the standard pressure of a garden hose. Please save yourself the bin space and do the environment a favour by not buying this plastic waste which will end up in landfill after one use.

leaving a white dust that shined on my finger, I got a kit and a lot from them tbh and I’m scared to use anything else incase it damages my car more, actually makes me really upset as I was so excited to clean my car and look after it as I struggle a lot financially and was finally able to buy my first car after struggling so much. With all the other reviews seems like it’s a scam and I wish I read them first. I’m going to try and reach out to them but by these reviews I’m not hopeful.

painful. My suggestion is to totally avoid them as now it looks like I will have to apply for a charge back from my bank to get refunded. Terrible company, further more they confirmed my item hasn't left the warehouse and refuse to keep the item and refund me even though no way possible in can be delivered in time nor would they confirm when it will actually be delivered. owned this musket for just over 12 months and its broken into pieces, it has never been treated wrong or dropped, i am a fan of there 4x4 wash and drip dry but i am really disappointed that the musket i was supplied has pretty much cracked and fallen to bits on its own in just over 12 months. even after all there advertising praising how well made they all are

wring it out. The wash does a good job BUT you do need to hand wash the car as the wash doesn’t remove dirt if you are just spraying on and rinsing with the captains musket. The drip dry is also good, but you do need the captains musket to apply this one. The negative is the captains musket which is made of POOR QUALITY plastic and both of our muskets cracked after about three to four uses. The first musket cracked where the hose attachment screws into it, the second musket developed cracks in the clear plastic product container. Replacement muskets sell for $80 which is absolutely disgusting considering you can buy a better quality hose attachment from bunnings for under $10. This is why I don’t recommend this product, it seems the quality of the plastic musket is a common issue!

I was advised that I would receive by 12/12/25 (Sweet), unfortunately not the case . Once my order never arrived by the 14th I was told on numerous occasions that it was on its way , finally I received a tracking email. Come the 19th I found out that Allied express only just received the item & the package was damaged & where awaiting a new shipment from Salty captain to re place the damaged one . Obviously this all didn’t happen & come 30/12/25 & countless emails to salty captain with no reply. I finally had Allied express advise me that I could come to there warehouse inspect the items to see if there was damage , & if I wanted to take my order . At this point i thought that I may as well do so as I was heading away on a holiday in 3 days . The items where in good order. Now you may say that all this was just bad timing over Xmas & that partly both Allied & Salty captain stuffed me around. But here is the kicker , after sending an email in early January advising them of the whole ordeal , lack of transparency & contact . They apologised & advised that they would send me a $35 4wd cleaner as a sign of appreciation. Till this day 2/2/25 im still awaiting & not holding my breathe. In short they take you $$$ & don’t give a damn about customer service . I will never purchase a Salty Captain product also in short there cleaning gear is over priced & is nothing special to your standard car cleaning products. Very Poor Form Salty Captain

Salty captain cleaning products work well, however. DO NOT BUY the musket foam gun, it works but uses water to replace the solution which dilutes the solution, almost straight away it becomes useless, i complained and they sent me another, same thing. Purchased a 95lt duel zone fridge freezer I must say it’s built extremely well like a tank. Cools down quickly to temperature & holding quite well. Seems efficient on 12v power for a large unit. Only downside I would like to see an extra Anderson… Read more ·  2

plug option in the leads not separate as I feel all fridge companies should provide this nowadays I fitted a Anderson plug no problem removing the cig socket.. The 5 year warranty did help towards my purchase’so far so good.

Salty captain 770ml tyre shine spray bottle , this product would be the absolute worst tyre shine I have ever used, lucky I tried this item before I purchased any other products in the range . Absolute joke .
