Samsung 458L Bottom Mount SRL456LS / SRL459MB / SRL451BLS Series

18 months old and it’s developed a fault. Not cooling properly. Have lost our Christmas ham. Have proof of purchase, but there’s a piece of the label missing with the serial number. Because I can’t provide the serial number, Samsung have thrown me under the bus and are refusing to honour the warranty. If I want this piece of garbage repaired, I’ll have to pay for it myself.

Not perfect but pretty close – This fridge was purchased to replace a different brand that was slightly faulty. Electronic control panel on the inside not on the outside; This is one feature we looked for because I feel the fact that the electronic control paned was on the door was probably why our last fridge ended up with problems, opening closing the door must have affected something over time.

Layout; Layout is fine, it's great having the freezer on the bottom, the only thing I miss is having a second crisper or at least two seperate ones on the bottom.

Freezer draws; They have a good sturdy rolling mechanism and can't be accidentally pulled out too far.

Bottle Rack: I took that out and we're not using it at the moment, the same with the egg holders as we prefer to just keep the eggs in the carton. And finally the ice cube thingy..... haven't really tried it out yet as we do also have another freezer with ice cube trays.

The fridge is very quiet overall, it does occasionally make a quirky little noise but that's hardly noticeable.

The matte black colour was probably not quite the right choice for our kitchen, it does stand out a fair bit, but that's ok. It doesn't seem to get dirty / attract fingerprints etc too much.

My Husband changed over the door hinges himself, he's pretty handy and it wasn't a overly difficult task but it did take him at least 2 hours or so. It's great that the kit was included and that we weren't required to get a technician to do it for us like some other brands insist on.

The only issue so far is that a couple of times veggies have got a bit frozen at the back of the crisper, I've turned the temp up a bit more to see if it helps.

available at the Samsung warehouse. Called up Samsung again and I was promised delivery on 16/04/2021. Nothing delivered again. Called Samsung and the customer service rep has no idea and can not do anything, other than asking me to call courier company again. I called up courier company and I was told that Samsung has not scheduled the delivery.

I disposed off my earlier refrigerator on 14/04/2021 as I had already promised to someone. All the stuff from the refrigerator has gone bad. Speaking to customer service rep, I can understand that they have no visibility or authority to do anything. Hopefully someone from Samsung will read this message and sort out the mess.

too long. The only problems with the one we have, We noticed two molding defects at the top right edges of the fridge door which looks like a small dent/ ripple in the front door. They are very small and not noticeable in most lights, only when there is a lot of glare on it, if our fridge was white instead of black no one would be able to pick it. May have been due to the foam pads in each corner due to the way it was packed or more likely a defect in the way the front panel was formed, we also noticed the same defect on two others we looked at stores on display. The lowest compartment in the freezer is the tallest freezer compartment in the fridge however is is also the shortest due probably due to the internal back wall having a step in it due to the compressor hardware in the back of the fridge. Its a shame really as sometimes a bit of Tetris is involved when packing the freezer sometimes as pizza boxes are difficult to fit on the bottom shelf. All in all these are very minor things, with everything there is a compromise by having a freezer on the bottom you sacrifice space but also improve massively the ergonomics of the fridge which you use 90% of the time and for the ticket price can't really go wrong with this unit, so over all I rate this at 4 stars.

temperature seems pretty consistent throughout, with no obvious hot or cold spots. It's easy to open and close . It also beeps if you leave it open too long, which is good to make sure it actually closes fully. I like that the freezer has three drawers, two full size and one small, next to the ice maker. I would buy a similar fridge again in the future.

makes accessing the fridge far more convenient, although the door handle is not well placed. The freezer door swings open but the plastic drawers roll out - sometimes an awkward mix.

Overall, very leased with the purchase.

corrupted and refrigerator-fridge are stinky. Very disappointed with a refrigerator which has just worked less than 3 years. Highly NOT recommended.

The fridge does not hold temperature – The fridge is great at keeping things cold as long as there is nothing in it. As soon as you put anything in the fridge it will not cool to the set temp. We have to record temps twice a day and as soon as you put items in the fridge it will sit between 5 and 10 degrees. As a business we cannot have the fridge at these temps. The fridge does not do it's job and I could not recommend it to anyone.

freezer seal – Our appliance is 4 years old. We changed the handing of the doors which resulted in the freezer not sealing whereupon the samsung approved technician replaced the seal TWICE with a new one and agreed we weren`t at fault. The freezer seal has failed. Not happy Show details

these features a lot and find it wakes for better organisation. Freezer below is good with an ice drawer and 3 other drawers of different sizes, could fit a lot into them. We have a four person household and it has enough room for us.

No dramas but marks and dents very easy – We've had this fridge for about 8 months and it so far hasn't skipped a beat. Maintains temp nicely and is easy to clean. My only problem with it is how easily it scratches, marks and dents. I know that we should have known better when buying a black fridge but it's still disappointing. Choose a different colour – The black color was my mistake to buy. You have to clean it all the time. scratches will be easily visible. Although the space and the cooling is good. Great fridge – The refrigerator looks fantastic. Stylish black finish suits out new kitchen perfectly. Size is great, fits everything we need for a growing family!
