Very disappointed that Ice Maker can't be used unless connected to plumbing. Fridge is ok however a little difficult removing water container for cleaning. Need to open both doors to remove crispers. Need a bit of strength to open fridge doors. Fridge appears to operate ok. Show details

Bad product and even worse service from Samsung – Stopped working within 1 year. Raised job with Samsung and they took 5 days to send a technician. Technician concluded that it cannot be fixed and reported back to samsung. Samsung again took 2 weeks to sort out the store credit. The case managers were so stupid that they gave store credit for Helensvale store which was 100km away from my house so had to spend half a day getting new fridge. Show details

poor service and noisy product – bought this fridge in March 2021 it starts to become noisy after you close the fridge door after one year, it started to not work all the food is not cool and frozen , i have to turn it off and turn it back on to get the whole fridge working again called customer service and still waiting to get a resolution Show details

Lemon – We bought this fridge from The Good Guys at Oxley, QLD during the black Friday sales on 27-11-2021 for $1,123.00 plus $74 delivery fee. We thought this was a bargain. Got it delivered asap. dispenser, etc. We shopped for a long time before finally finding this fridge, which we thought was perfect! No other fridge met our needs. Or so we thought...

After two weeks, the freezer stopped freezing. We contacted The Good Guys who fobbed us off to Samsung. So we contacted Samsung. After about 7 days they sent a technician out to look at our fridge. Meanwhile it's Christmas and our food spoiled (which we got no compensation for). My wife was in tears, very stressful time. The technician said there's a gas leak and it won't be long until the fridge dies. He couldn't locate the gas leak. He submitted his report to Samsung who, on xmas eve, offered us three options (exchange, refund or store credit). There was no compensation for the $74 delivery fee either. We opted for exchange. Model #SRF5300SD. A couple of days later we got a call from Samsung to say there is no stock in Australia - so we chose to get a refund. This was clearly a lie - The Good Guys are still selling them and have stock - here is the link -> https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/samsung-495l-french-door-refrigerator-srf5300sd and it's priced at $1,599.00.

So we still have no fridge, no refund, and our defective Samsung Fridge is still sitting in our kitchen waiting to be collected by Samsung.

Not happy. We bought from The Good Guys and we chose Samsung because we thought we were getting quality. Turns out that if your fridge breaks down they just want to refund you, not compensate you, lie about stock while blaming covid and gouge you because now the price will be $1,599 at least for a new fridge that suits our needs.

Very disappointed in The Good Guys and Samsung. We feel neglected and taken for fools. Presently drafting a complaint to Fair Trading, the ACCC and the ombudsmen. The fridge was not fit for purpose, didn't match the description advertised and has caused us undue stress. The Good Guys fobbed us off to Samsung, which they can't do - see https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/consumer-guarantees

Hopefully we'll get a fair result and compensation for our loss of spoiled food and delivery fee.

Buyer beware.

Ice falls out of freezer onto the floor – When the freezer drawer is pulled out it skims the ice tray causing excess ice cubes to fall back down to the bottom of the fridge. Then it tumbles out onto the floor. It happens almost daily. !!!

So far, no complaints whatsoever – Purchased brand new. Love the look and functionality great with the two door design. Freezer capacity is good and much stronger compared to my old Samsung fridge which started to buckle when filled. Kids enjoy the water dispenser and continually using it.
