crushed the tin foil “drip tray” and foam underneath. Melted with hair drier and boiling water and unblocked drain. Internal shelves are cracked or broken. Contacted customer support. Told me its out of warranty, too bad. Will never buy another samsung product. It is not fit for purpose and designed to fail. Korea is in a race to the bottom with China. I’ll be buying Japanese from now on.

Great product – Great fridge with plenty of space. The fridge is big though therefore the fridge door had to be removed to be able to bring inside. Best to check before buying as there is extra cost involve to get a certified person to remove and refit the door to avoid the warranty to be void. Show reply

Lousy after sales sercice – Purchased direct from Samsung Austr. Upon delivery the delivery guys spotted huge dent on the door. Apologised and took it away. More 6 weeks now and no replacement. star, freezer on top, and inverter compressor, and “Appliances Online” had the best price on the day including delivery and removal of the old fridge. They were great, kept us informed of delivery time, and a very good experience all round. The Samsung has been running now through a power meter since installed, and is proving to be amazingly quiet and efficient. The compressor is variable speed, typically draws only around 50w and is mostly very quiet unless the fridge has been opened and warm items added, (though gets up to 150w power draw and a little noisy if the compressor is running flat out). Be aware that it will run flat out with noticeable noise for quite a while when first turned on as it pulls the temp down, (though was still quieter even then than our old fridge). However, once it’s down to temperature it’s typically almost inaudible.

By the energy label, it should use 375kWh per year, (about 1kWh per day) and thus far, in SUMMER, it’s actually using significantly LESS than that, helped of course by the fact that as a second fridge, it doesn’t get opened as often. Everybody has different needs and wants for a fridge, but this one ticks the boxes for us. The fridge itself is deep, with good LED lighting, adjustable shelves, and big door shelves. The doors can be set up to open from either side, (hinge on the right as delivered) and is a relatively easy job to swap to the opposite side for a person with good handyman skills.

Negatives: One of the bottom two door bins (on the hinge side) is a hard to access, unless the door is absolutely fully open. Noise level is at times significant, but ONLY when the fridge is running flat out to achieve desired temperature eg: after adding lots of warm things or having the door open a lot. However normally, it’s very quiet, and in fact almost inaudible.

This Samsung fridge will save a lot of power and money over it’s lifetime compared to a less efficient fridge. I’m disappointed that so many of the fridges on display at the retailers are relatively very power hungry, and according to one salesman, people don’t seem to worry too much about that, which is really not good- the added running cost over the life of the fridge is VERY significant.

Edit Dec’20: Nearly a year on, and nothing has changed- we are VERY happy with this fridge.

Edit 2 April ‘24: Fridge has been faultless- (Touchwood ;-) I’d buy again in a heartbeat.

So efficient and quiet! – Before this refrigerator, we had a 20-year-old Westinghouse. It used a lot more energy than this and was a lot noisier. This is much quieter, like so much, and uses a considerable amount less energy. It has a nice clean design and the de-odorising filter in it doesn't make it stink. Not very happy – The temperature and the door open and closing is fine it's that after I brought the fridge and used it for a month it then went into storage as I moved in with my partner when I pulled it out to use it again not even 6 months later the inside at the back was all cracked and wrecked nothing was up against it, it wasn't in the heat or anything so needless to say I wasn't happy.  Show details

Love it – Purchased the fridge just under 2 years ago. For a medium fridge it has plenty of room. It's very quiet wouldn't even know it is on and the freezer height is perfect for a tall person. Very easy to clean inside and out. The stainless steel doesn't streak like most on the market. Very happy indeed!  Show details

I love my new fridge – I absolutely love my new fridge I purchased in January 2018. It has so much space inside the fridge and the freezer. Best fridge I've ever owned – This is hands down the best fridge I've owned in my adult life. Not only is it the perfect size for small families but the ability to turn off the freezer on vacation is actually genius and I highly recommend for active families. Really good – A very good purchase we have been really happy with our fridge , very easy to clean inside and out . Keeps cool but a tad noisy – It is a two compartment fridge with a total capacity of 625 litres. I like the fridge as it is deeper than most other brands which means you can store longer objects or Pyrex dishes taking advantage of the depth. the shelves are well spaced. There's plenty of shelves on the door and they are also deep which is good as I can store bottles without fear of them falling out when the kids yank hard to open the door.

I have had it for over 5 months now can attest to it keeping to temperature and the crisp compartment works well. Food keeps well in there. What prevents me giving it five stars is the fact that the compressor is extremely noisy when compared to an older LG fridge I got side by side with it. Overall, this is a value for money product and I am happy with it.

Wide, big space & energy ratings very good – Just bought it and very love it. Maintain the temperature, can make the freezer to normal fridge. Big fridge for fair price – biggest fridge for a fair price. Dual cooling system. I was comparing with other the french door fridge model as its similar price but smaller size. Huge space.....good value....consistent cooling....energy efficient – Great fridge. Massive space, energy efficient and consistent cooling (doesn't freeze at the back). Best part is the top compartment can convert into fridge instead of freezer. Only negative is the temperature gauge is just a bar system so you don't really know what temperature your fridge is. interior compartments. The freezer is a good size, though we do run another freezer for storing our own lamb meat. The exterior has a modern stainless steel finish and looks neat and not out of place in our country kitchen.

This fridge is much quieter than our old one and has a four star energy rating, which has meant a small decrease on our electricity bill. I'm happy with our purchase and really hoping that this Samsung lasts a long while.
