Buyer beware: Look elsewhere – I bought this fridge 8 months ago and the features are great. I love the touchscreen and apps like spotify and Ring. HOWEVER, a month ago, the filter cartridge failed and this fridge flooded my house. It damaged cabinetry, floorboards and carpet. I tried to raise the issue with Samsung and because their technician could not replicate the fault in… Read more
the 10 minutes he as there, they denied all liability and now I am left with a damage bill higher than the cost of the fridge! I'm really disappointed with the customer service provided by Samsung and will not be buying this brand again. I strongly recommend you consider other brands before going with this fridge!
"Bad Odour" and an almost Impossible to clean drip tray – Purchased this Samsung fridge as a factory second, i.e. superficial dent damage to door panels. After experiencing a power failure tyhat lasted 8 hours, the fridge developed a very bad odour. Despite being told that the drip tray is removable and discovering that it most definetely isn't and absorbing the water with eeither a spoinge and absorbent… Read more
paper, the odur stayed. After a period the stench dissipated but returned even worse than before. The bottom of the drip tray was once again covered in a film of water. No other fridge appears to have this issue, BTW. When we attempted to have it serviced under warranty we discoved that Samsung had removed the serial number deliberately prior to wholesaling it to Appliance Warehouse and refused to cover the warranty as they claimed it was second hand. It has always been our experience that "FActory Seconds" are brand new, never been used and sold through these outlets at a reduced price as they are unsaleable via the usual retailers. The fridge otherwise is functional and keeps its temperature and looks good.

Frustrating Experience with a Faulty Samsung Fridge and Poor Customer Service – I purchased a Samsung 649L French Door Fridge (Model SRF7300SA) for $2,799.98 from Costco in February. From the moment it arrived, we had issues with the upper left door not staying open. I reached out to Samsung's customer support, who initially suggested a few DIY solutions, none of which worked. Subsequently, they required video evidence,… Read more
which I provided. The next step was for technicians to visit and diagnose the problem.
I had interactions with multiple technicians. The first technician was rude, dismissive but eventually agreed to order a replacement part. The second one noted the issue and promised to order a part as well. A third technician appeared a few weeks later to inform us that Samsung had rejected the part request. He also promised that Samsung would simulate the issue in their workshop and get back to us, but they haven't.
We've been on a merry-go-round of emails, phone calls, and technician visits with no resolution in sight. Despite our proactive approach in documenting the fault via multiple videos and photos, it's been over seven months, and we are still stuck with a faulty product.
This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I purchased this fridge expecting a quality product and customer service to match. Instead, I've spent an absurd amount of time dealing with customer service and technicians, with no end to the saga in sight.
Unless you have time to waste and enjoy getting the run-around, I would seriously recommend considering other brands when shopping for a fridge.

Good fridge. Big, well thought out, water and ice work well – I bought this to replace another samsung french door fridge which had the water and ice dispenser in the front of the door. That fridge had problems with the ice maker, there was always water spilled on the floor, then corrosion on the front panel from spilled water. The SRF7300 is an improvement - water is never spilled, and the icemaker seems… Read more · 1
to work well. There's actually more usable room in the fridge despite a smaller listed capacity due to not having a big icemaker inside it. The auto-fill jug works well, it instantly refills with cold water. One month in, I really like it. The kids complained for a while about having to actually open the fridge to get water out of the jug, talk about first world problems.
Good [updated 18 months later from: Expensive but poorly designed] – After having our initial issues eventually sorted by Samsung's service partners coming out and replacing a seal, fixing the door alignment, the fridge has been great. The integrated water filter and jug, ice maker have worked well. We love having the auto-fill jug always ready with cold filtered water. The fridge looks fantastic. The only minor… Read more · 1
downside is that the centre flap does mean the left door is stiffer to open and close, but once we were used to it, it's fine - I understand it's a necessary design feature of a french door fridge.
======== Original Review ======== Expensive but poorly designed ===========================
After two days of wondering why our new $3,400 RRP fridge leaks cold air straight out the front, we realised we could see straight through the centre of the fridge doors.
The top fridge doors are evidently supposed to seal in the centre via a bar attached to the left door that is supposed to flip flat as you open and close it, giving the right door something to seal against.
However, with our brand new fridge, this seal does not flip out, leaving a 1cm gap between the two doors running top-to-bottom, causing the cold air to simply pour out.
Now trying to get this fixed or replaced is a complete nightmare. Samsung use an overseas call centre that is incredibly difficult and slow to deal with. We have spent hours on the phone trying to get this rectified and have had to explain the issue again and again, providing my details again and again, listening to all their disclaimers about how if this is my fault we will have to pay for the service technician etc etc.
Our place of purchase, The Good Guys, just bounced us back to the Samsung call centre.
Don't buy Samsung, the service is atrocious. The fridge looks fancy but has a dodgy design.
