peeling glass trays inside the fridge - I am so done. They replaced the ice maker twice previously and the technician advised it’s a known fault and Samsung continue to sell them (at the time of the repair). Getting those replacements was like fighting tooth and nail. Literally the worst fridge I’ve ever owned. Buyer beware - we are all listing the same faults!

Chef collection fridge not collectable at all – Within six months, Samsung replaced all of the shelving as the blue "CHROME FINISH" to the shelves was peeling off. Now the ice maker freezes itself up so that weekly the ice has to be manually dislodged to work again. As a layman, I assume this is a poor seal allowing moist air into the ice maker. worth fixing (2 Years old )

So he said samsung would be in Contact,7 days they called and said they would work out what to do

Than 3 weeks later,they got a service manager to ring,who has the personality of a ....

He said they would pick up the fridge,and would send me the money 3 weeks later ,i said no one is taking a fridge ,until i get my money

Or at least pay me when they pick it up

We are now on a stalemate ,it has been 8 weeks hey can you believe it 15 phone calls i am lucky i tape some conversations

I Am sure everybody would agree with me money when you pick up fridge,

Where can we pick up a fridge and pay later $4000 dollar fridge,i will and never buy anything Samsung Again

Expensive and produces Very Poor quality ice – The fridge is allegedly Samsung's top of the range (cost in excess of $6K). Main issue is with the ice maker. Worst of any fridge I've owned (better ice from much cheaper fridges). drinks as ice is combination of gas and water which causes drinks to froth up and distorts flavour. Extremely disappointing. Do not purchase if ice quality important to you. Samsung have checked and advised ice maker works as they require so do not expect after sales back up from them on this issue.

Suggest better value form money fridges out there.

adding ice, rather than try to fill a glass with 'cold' water from the fridge dispenser.

- Main 'chiller drawer' is full-width, so BOTH main doors have to be opened, to get food in / out, leading to significant loss of cold air.

- Water / Ice / Soda-stream dispenser takes up a LOT of space, leading to limited use of shelves in the door.

On the positive side:

- External finish looks great, and is much easier to keep clean than other fridges. Also, unlike other people, ours was delivered without any dents, or other damage.

- Ice dispenser worked well for us, but was only being used for 2 people, so we never needed much ice at a time.

I can't comment on the soda-stream dispenser, because the fridge broke before we installed a bottle. Pity, as this was the main feature that attracted us to this fridge.

On the plus-side, Samsung have been great in dealing with our failure, and offered either:

- Full refund (which we're taking)

- Repair (and a $400 gift-card as compensation), or

- Replacement with a new unit.

Not worth the money unfortunately. Buy it if you like dripping water or poorly designed storage – I have very similar problems with my fridge . i also have water leaking from the fridge. my water catchment tray is now rusting from where the water leaks from the back (where I can't stop it) and into the back of the sealed tray (that I can't clean or remove). chooses (trapped ice melting in the funnel) it's really disgusting to walk out and into a puddle of water. The last technician was unable to remove the tray and just said 'good luck' with that.

Unlike other people, I think the shelves are poorly designed as they have these weird hanging things (think of where your clothes hangers hang) underneath them meaning I can only put small items (it wastes about 3cm under the shelves) under some shelves. The curving at the rear of the fridge also means larger items don't fit all the way back (wasting about 3-5cm). I might sound fussy. But I have a big sporty family with allergies and cook and need fresh food.

Now the fridge door seals are ripping. This is the third time I'll have someone out to this fridge in 8 months.

I do NOT recommend this fridge. Simply because it has a poor design for the price tag.

real stainless steel as portrayed in promotion. Just about impossible to have this unit delivered and installed without some cosmetic damage. French doors require clearance either side of the fridge to be able to fully open the doors. The water line is only 6 mm making water flow low unless you have significant water pressure. Not the perfect all rounder but I am very happy with it after using a 40 year old fridge for so long. Great improvements.

Does all I need – The Samsung is roomy and has many nice storage areas that make it very flexible. At times it can be noisier than expected. Temperature settings are good and no issues during the hot months of Summer. Design is nice and fits in well with the kitchen very happy and would buy Samsung again.  Show details

Best fridge ever – The different compartments keeps food fresh such as compartment for fresh foos like vegetables and another for dry food that needs to be refrigerated after opening the pack. thing is that I get to open only one of the door to get stuff out instead of a big wide open door. That helps to keep the temperature constant

For the price it should be a lot better – Has a very small ice compartment and takes for ever to make ice, useless for even a small dinner party. Water dispenser spits water everywhere and has to be constantly wiped when used. versatile. Quiet operation and easy to clean. There were dents in some of the parts eg: drip tray for water dispenser which comes loose very easily, I am sure that could have been designed better. To use the large full width tray at the bottom of the fridge section you have to open both doors fully causing a terrible waste of cold air. Samsung don't care, if you buy it you are on your own.

draws in freezer fantastic, can pull out draw and look down at food rather than digging for items like a chest freezer or removing items in front of you to get to the back items like an open door shelf freezer. I can easy fit 3 loaves of bread across a draw with crumpets on top. I can stack items above draw wall height. All digital controls work fine. The water dispenser, ice maker and soda stream is a fail. The day I purchased the fridge/Freezer i deliberately threw out my soda stream maker, this was a big mistake. To make soda water can take upto 30 minutes, if i kept my bench top soda stream maker it would make it with in 30 seconds. If I want to make a large amount of soda water it suggests I make it in advance, so to make two bottles I need a spare 1 hour but with the bench top soda stream maker it would take 60 seconds. Because the soda stream gas bottle is stored on the inside of the fridge it is chilled and the brass value becomes stuck open and all the gas seeps out of the gas bottle causing bottles not to last that long, this is a poor design fault. As for the ice machine, lucky I kept all of my original ice cube trays. It constantly runs out of ice as it takes over 8 hours to make just 8 cubes of ice. And Ice gets stuck in the delivery funnel, the ice melts and the water runs down the delivery funnel on to the front of the fridge. I have complained to samsung but it is my fault because I don't wipe the water down, the problem is I don't stand looking at my fridge waiting for the ice to melt so i can wipe the water down. I would like a different fridge but I am still paying this fridge off.

Dints and damaged – $7k fridge and arrived with dints around hinges and the plastic covers on top of bottom doors cracked near hinges, i question the longevity of the product.
