Great fridge freezer but not worth the extra $$$disappointing
Brought from Harvey Norman for a very high premium over existing models. Fridge works fine as does freezer. Icemaker is perfect. Soda stream function is great but shelves have started to stain not lot long after purchase which is dissapointing.
Chef collection fridge not collectable at all
Within six months, Samsung replaced all of the shelving as the blue "CHROME FINISH" to the shelves was peeling off. Now the ice maker freezes itself up so that weekly the ice has to be manually dislodged to work again. As a layman, I assume this is a poor seal allowing moist air into the ice maker. Given it is the top of the line fridge, the dissapointment in it can not be expressed.
I am determined to keep writing about the attitude of Samsung
I bought a top of the line 4 door french door fridge, temperature never cold
The ice maker did not work, even after Samsung replaced it
Anyway finally fridge blew the fuse,a short i believe, and we were away
We rang Samsung 3 days before a service man came,We were told fridge not worth fixing (2 Years old )
So he said samsung would be in Contact,7 days they called and said they would work out what to do
Than 3 weeks later, they got a service manager to ring, who has the personali...

Expensive and produces Very Poor quality ice
The fridge is allegedly Samsung's top of the range (cost in excess of $6K). Main issue is with the ice maker. Worst of any fridge I've owned (better ice from much cheaper fridges). Does not produce ice cubes as advertised but produces rubbish white ice in various banana - like shapes dispensed in a crushed slush mixed. Not suitable for mixer drinks as ice is combination of gas and water which causes drinks to froth up and distorts flavour. Extremely disappointing. Do not purchase if ice quality important to you. Samsung have checked and advised ice maker works as they require so do not expect after sales back up from them on this issue.
Suggest better value form money fridges out there.
Failed within 3-weeks - being returned for refund
This fridge looks great, but ours failed within 3-weeks (main fridge compartment no longer cools) and we have elected to return it for a full refund - Samsung have been excellent in this regard!
This fridge has several design issues from my perspective:
- Water line is too thin, so water flow is very slow. Tend to end up using tap-water, and adding ice, rather than try to fill a glass with 'cold' water from the fridge dispenser.
- Main 'chiller drawer' is full-width, so BOTH main doors have to be opened, to get food in / out, leading to s...
Not worth the money unfortunately. Buy it if you like dripping water or poorly designed storage
I have very similar problems with my fridge . i also have water leaking from the fridge. my water catchment tray is now rusting from where the water leaks from the back (where I can't stop it) and into the back of the sealed tray (that I can't clean or remove). I have had parts replaced to try and stop the leak, but since it does it when it chooses (trapped ice melting in the funnel) it's really disgusting to walk out and into a puddle of water. The last technician was unable to remove the tray and just said 'good luck' with that.
Versatile and reliable cold storage with ice production
Accurate selectable temperature control. Humidity control in vegetable compartments. Selectable chill or freeze in bottom right compartment allowing 3 separate temperature storage. Bright LED illumination makes night use easy for obtaining ice or chilled water as well as internal product identification. Front panels dent very easily. They are not real stainless steel as portrayed in promotion. Just about impossible to have this unit delivered and installed without some cosmetic damage. French doors require clearance either side of the fridge to...be able to fully open the doors. The water line is only 6 mm making water flow low unless you have significant water pressure. Not the perfect all rounder but I am very happy with it after using a 40 year old fridge for so long. Great improvements.
Does all I need
The Samsung is roomy and has many nice storage areas that make it very flexible. At times it can be noisier than expected. Temperature settings are good and no issues during the hot months of Summer. Design is nice and fits in well with the kitchen very happy and would buy Samsung again.
Best fridge ever
The different compartments keeps food fresh such as compartment for fresh foos like vegetables and another for dry food that needs to be refrigerated after opening the pack. It purrs quietly. Changing the water filter is easy and I get super clean water and ice. As it opens up like a cupboard door, cleaning is so much more easier. And one great thing is that I get to open only one of the door to get stuff out instead of a big wide open door. That helps to keep the temperature constant
For the price it should be a lot better
Has a very small ice compartment and takes for ever to make ice, useless for even a small dinner party. Water dispenser spits water everywhere and has to be constantly wiped when used. The internal space is compromised by the sparkling water soda stream bottle and I think shelving could be laid out better. Temperature control is excellent and versatile. Quiet operation and easy to clean. There were dents in some of the parts eg: drip tray for water dispenser which comes loose very easily, I am sure that could have been designed better. To use the large full width tray at the bottom of the fridge section you have to open both doors fully causing a terrible waste of cold air. Samsung don't care, if you buy it you are on your own.

Great concept but can't deliver
THE PRICE IS over $ 8000 purchased 26/12/15, but it doesn't deliver. I bought this fridge as I have a wife and 4 children who love soda stream. Everything on this fridge freezer should be perfect because of its price but it isn't. All internal shelving is great. Fridge shelves change due to height of items, this is an excellent concept. Bottom draws in freezer fantastic, can pull out draw and look down at food rather than digging for items like a chest freezer or removing items in front of you to get to the back items like an open door shelf fr...eezer. I can easy fit 3 loaves of bread across a draw with crumpets on top. I can stack items above draw wall height. All digital controls work fine. The water dispenser, ice maker and soda stream is a fail. The day I purchased the fridge/Freezer i deliberately threw out my soda stream maker, this was a big mistake. To make soda water can take upto 30 minutes, if i kept my bench top soda stream maker it would make it with in 30 seconds. If I want to make a large amount of soda water it suggests I make it in advance, so to make two bottles I need a spare 1 hour but with the bench top soda stream maker it would take 60 seconds. Because the soda stream gas bottle is stored on the inside of the fridge it is chilled and the brass value becomes stuck open and all the gas seeps out of the gas bottle causing bottles not to last that long, this is a poor design fault. As for the ice machine, lucky I kept all of my original ice cube trays. It constantly runs out of ice as it takes over 8 hours to make just 8 cubes of ice. And Ice gets stuck in the delivery funnel, the ice melts and the water runs down the delivery funnel on to the front of the fridge. I have complained to samsung but it is my fault because I don't wipe the water down, the problem is I don't stand looking at my fridge waiting for the ice to melt so i can wipe the water down. I would like a different fridge but I am still paying this fridge off.
Dints and damaged
$7k fridge and arrived with dints around hinges and the plastic covers on top of bottom doors cracked near hinges, i question the longevity of the product. The fridge in general is great in apperance and seems to function great. But having said that we have only had it 2 days.
Questions & Answers
Bottom right hand door of my Samsung chef collection fridge is showing red light as you open the doors it is a square signal with other squares in it could you please tell me if it is anything to be concerned with.
Thanking you in anticipation Lucy
Hi Lucy. This red flashing light may indicate that your water filter may need to be changed. Please refer to page 34 on the user manual via the link below for more information!
Hello. We are having the same issues with our Samsung refrigerator. Have been for the past couple of years and had called the representatives multiple times and online chat which disconnected me every time. Now our ice machine stopped working along with our sparkling water. We would love to have this fixed since we've had this issue going on since purchasing the fridge and not a cheap one at that. We love the space it provides but hate having to constantly clean up water from the floor and trays. And time for us to pick out the frozen water all around the bin to get it to produce ice again for us for two weeks. And actually has frozen under the tray and when I went to pull the tray ice came out from under it and landed on my foot and sliced it open. Not a happy experience. Please help.
First we had the trouble from the start
The arrogance from Samsung, the time wasting, the quality of the product, the person they employed to fix ,agreed with us ,the propblems with the model
I gladly help u against Samsung
Tell them money back,no replacement

This is really bad considering the price of this item and really not much better then a average fridge
