Samsung S20 One UI 6 Support – Camera Still Holds Up, Runs Games PERFECTLY! My only issue with Samsung is their software support. I would love the S20 Series to get One UI 6! The phone runs very smoothly on all apps! And I really don't want to install a custom ROM. So please samsung, I would love the S20 Series to receive OneUI 6! Show 2 replies

Not a great phone – This S20 I have overheats all the time, it gets so hot I am waiting for it to catch on fire or explode, which I hpe it doesn't. Battery life is shocking, have to charge it every day, even when hardly used. Not happy with this. I do however like everything else. Show details

Superb and ahead of Apple at time of release – Although I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to comparing phone specs etc, I am always on the phone for my business, so I need something that is reliable with good battery life and great photos, easy email fast processing with lots of apps open simultaneously and great web browser. Unlike most other people I know, who either love APPLE or Android,… Read more ·  1

I actually love both AND have one of each for private /weekends when I don't want to be bothered by business and for work M-F. If you are simply comparing Android devices, get yourself an S20 5G instead of S21 or S22. Why? For starters, the screen is more vibrant and has better pixels/resolution. If you like taking lots of pictures, S20 is the last one which gives you access to expand your memory with a microSD card and battery life is better. The upcoming S23 may be a game changer...we'll wait and see, but it won't be cheap. If you go to eBay and get yourself an AS NEW/EXCELLENT refurbished S20 from a reputable 30 day money back guarantee and 1-2 years warranty unit (which is what I do instead of buying brand new), you can't go wrong. I actually really like aspects of the operational system of Samsung Android and I really love the vivid colours and brightness of the screen, as well as EASY MODE, which is far smarter than simply enlarging fonts and apps by 10% or so on Apple.

Worst phone ever – Worst Samsung I have ever owned period. No wonder they released the S21 shortly after. They clearly worked out that it was a dud and couldn't be fixed. It is so buggy and constantly has errors and freezes. Then it will open menus I never even tapped. It is the slowest phone I have ever owned when browsing and using apps. The phone signal is so… Read more

poor it constantly drops out. It chews so much power that it goes flat after only a few hours and constantly needs charging throughout the day.

Perfect Phone for work and pleasure :) – Great phone, super fast and apps are always very responsive and reliable. Speed to turn on and off is great. Best thing is it's very easy to navigate and get to where you need to go. Great phone for people who work in sales and needs their phone for work. Great battery life and long lasting. Show details

Great phone, lackluster camera quality – I bought this phone back in June of 2020. It has certainly served me well over the past two years and is an extremely durable phone. It has survived some spills and falls one could mistake it for a Nokia brick phone. I have always had Samsung phones and with every upgrade I hope for better camera quality but unfortunately this phone just doesn't… Read more

perform as well as it was advertised for, I've found that the iPhone 12 that came out in the later half of 2020 had much better camera quality relative to the Samsung. Photos aren't as sharp as you would have hoped for the newest top of the line phone, and photos taken at night are especially blurry, sometimes the camera needs around 20 seconds just to focus.

I do often use the phone to run games and social media apps and everything works wonderfully, the screen is extremely crisp and the refresh rate is the fasted I've seen on the phone. However, I've found the phone to be incompatible with the messenger app. Often when I use the Facebook messenger app the phone freezes and the touchscreen becomes unresponsive, and this can only be remedied through restarting the phone completely. With Snapchat the camera quality is a lot worse than the regular phone, but I tee that down to Snapchat basing their app around the iPhone as opposed to Android phones, but it is good to keep in mind if you're a regular Snapchat user.

The battery life of the phone is great, it has diminished marginally over the past two years, initially when I first got the phone I could go about a day and half without charging and using it very regularly throughout the day, now I can chew through the battery within the day. Keeping the phone on the mid-tier battery saver setting has really helped prolong the battery life of the phone.

Pros: - Extremely Durable - Clean and crisp display - Works well with majority of apps - Addition of sent and read receipts when texting with other Samsung phones is a nice addition - Samsung have great student discounts through the Education Store

Cons: - Camera quality low - Incompatible with Messenger App - Reduced battery life over time

What a terrible phone – Camera is very poor compared to earlier models Drops out of 5G constantly so you have to switch it to 4G While you type an SMS your letters, caps, punctuation disappears after you select them Very very very disappointed with Samsung over the lack of everything with this phone On top of it all, Optus, who I've been with for around 30 years couldn't give a damn about the phone they recommended Show details

Not the best 'upgrade' – I expected better camera quality after owning a galaxy s10 I thought this would be an upgrade however it has been quite short of those expectations. Device performance isn't much better compared to the s10 also.

Best Phone I Have Had So Far – I use this phone for business purposes. The camera is extremely clear even at night. The display is bright and without a screen protector I haven't even got one scratch in over a year in my pocket with my keys. I use my phone for Photos, Emails, Navigation, Calls and sometimes games. Apps run very smoothly without crashing. Overall I am very happy with this phone. Show details

audio issues – Unable to use the phone's new usb c plug to convert to audio out. I have tried 4 different usb-c to 3.5mm audio plugs. None work. No online solutions have worked. Technical support is terrible. The online chat people give me instructions that don't work on my device, and I can't get through by phone. Why did I bother "upgrading"? Show details

Worst phone I have ever owned, easily. DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE – Needless restrictions, stupid cowtowing to Apple's removal of aux port (which my provider did not forewarn of, and was an unpleasant and needless surprise), unnecessary gouging customers for peripherals for their stupidly expensive trash device, errors galore (including one where moisture is falsely detected in the charging port, making cable… Read more

charging impossible). Ridiculous updates including one necessitating that you cable plug your phone into a PC to boot recovery mode, while providing a baseline cable that has no USB-compatible plug. Absolutely pathetic device, Samsung will never get another cent from me for the absolute gutter trash they dare to call their 'flagship line'. Again, utterly pathetic piece of technology - wish that I had not 'upgraded' from the s9.

Good camera, and apps tend to run smoothly, but that's literally it - DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE.

Disappointing – Seems like a step backwards from my previous s7. Can't plug it in to the car via use as I keep getting a water in charging port error. Terrible Phone – I have been a loyal Samsung user for many years, S7&S8, Note 9 (all great phones) and decided to "upgrade" to Samsung S20. S20+ 5G is the worst phone I've ever owned – I upgraded from an S7 expecting that Samsung would have been improving their products from what was a great phone. I was wrong. conflict with Samsungs crap app offering and isn't allowed to work properly.

But worst of all is the audio output. I listen to music through a DAC and headphones and the sound is dispicable on the S20. The stock headphones are laughable and Samsung have clearly rushed the development of this phone. The switch to USB C has been done with total disregard for the customer and without developing the software to justify this as a flagship offering. Worse still Samsung have not fixed these issues since early 2020. I have a $1,400 flagship with the worst user experience of any to date and haven't been able to listen to music since I purchased in April. This will be my very last Samsung product!

Not worth the money considering we get exynos – Originally had the Huawei p30 pro with the x50 zoom so i thought that before Huawei, I was running samsung and they were great then so bought a s20 ultra 5g 128gb with the space zoom. exynos chip while the rest of the world gets snapdragon. You may not think much, but the difference in quality is considerably considering we are getting a chip that is prone to MASSIVE overheating issues. How bad? How about not being about to talk on the phone?? The phone gets stupidly hot. It actually hurts holding it your face or gets fairly uncomfortable sitting in the palm of my hand. Thankfully, it's winter so its welcomed. But the battery life is shockingly awful and heat degrades the battery life greatly and yes, having 5g enabled greatly affects the battery life.

Aftermarket support is non existent. Taking it to a samsung rep to ask about the overheating issues or the fact that the camera software seems to blue everything around the focused object gets a bit annoying considering I've come from a p30 pro which takes great photos. Back to overheating, i was told it was due to faulty software and simple reset to factory settings would fix the issue. Did it work? No....no it doesn't. So now I've paid 1k for a phone that heats up to the point where its unusable. So what makes it heat up? Bluetooth. Having something simple has having it paired to my phone while streaming Netflix kicks the phone into overdrive. Switching it to 4g only seems to be the only temporary fix. However, paying for 5g connection and being unable to use 5g....makes me feel pretty bad especially this was touted as samsungs flagship phone.

Don't waste your hard earned cash buying this. Go oppo. Go apple. Go huawei. Just don't bother with the s20 series or Samsung for the foreseeable future.

Not worth the pricetag – I've had the phone for about 1.5 months now - unlike others I don't seem to have issues with the camera or display (although I rarely take pictures which might be why). The biggest issues I have (which seem to be relatively common if you look up reviews for the phone on the web) are: 1) horrible fingerprint sensor (only works 50% of the time) -… Read more

I have registered different prints but it is still problematic. I have had to resort to using a pin which is very disappointing. 2) the accidental touch notification - great in theory but horrible in practice. I have had accidental touch notifications pop up when the phone is in my hands or when I am using an app. I had to turn this off which is a shame. 3) battery life surprisingly weak - despite optimising the power, using dark mode, putting apps to sleep, etc, the battery still drains pretty quickly.

It can get pretty complicated to do simple things due to the UI and the way Samsung have set up the software. Had to turn off Bixby multiple times in different ways.

It's not a bad phone by any means - but I don't think it's worth the cost.

Great Phone – I've had iPhones since the 5 and bought the X upon release. I was super unsatisfied with how slow the system was and the battery life so I shopped around a couple of years later when my plan was up. case but have found I don't need it as much as I use to. My battery lasts me all day and the phone doesn't overheat in my cars cradle which I'm really happy about.

Still figuring out the camera. It's not as good as the Ultra would be, but I don't want a phone that big. I found the Apple camera system more intuitive especially their live photo system. But all in all really happy with the quality.

The Android system is much easier to use than it was 10 years ago and I'm loving having control over my widgets and all the intricacies of my phone.
