Looking good – I received the phone within a day of placing the order. It is in good condition and looks as good as new. The S pen has been used, and it appears to be slow when writing notes. I have not taken many photos, but the few I have shot appear as good as those with my Nikon Z50. I am in the process of working on the apps and trying to familiarise myself with the phone. Show reply

Truly perfect device in so many ways – I’ve been in an out of Samsung ecosystem a number of times. Every 2 to 4 years Samsung manages to create a truly amazing device. In my case I really enjoyed S3, Note 3, S7 (edge) and S10+. Subjectively any other model in the S series was not as successful in my humble opinion. Now with the S22 Ultra feels like I’ve struck gold again. I will… Read more

attach my video review to make sure I cover the most important points for the average consumer like me (not hard core gamer, blogger, downloader, watcher etc). To sum up - the bad: Price - it is truly a highway robbery, but somehow worth it if you can afford one or are ready to pay for what they sell it for. In the packaging simple protections are not included. Even cheaper brands will stick their budget screen protector and supply a phone case. For that money Samsung could do better. In the packaging there is no charger, headphones (kind of good as it most likely to end up in the landfill), but the cable supplied is USB typeC to typeC. Besides data transfer what it is good for. Samsung! Dear Samsung, either supply an adaptor or provide a cable that we can use with any other “normal” charger. While all bad above, no real bad, just had to whinge about something, here is good, great, awesome: Display - amazing, well, it is kind of “Samsung thing” The battery life is phenomenal. At the end of the day with the average to heavy-ish use I end up with around 50% of battery left. Cameras (rear) are amazing, front - as expected. Fingerprint - lightning fast. Software updates regular - committed to 4 years of updates. Build - superb. Spen - great and getting better. Software, quality of software, integrations and functionality - great. NFC - banking, tagging etc - flawless Processing power, memory and speed - top marks.

Again, please watch my video review where I cover all points of view in more detail (also where to get a cheap, greate case for your awesome device). To sum up, I’m truly impressed by everything S22 Ultra has to offer and would not hesitate to recommend one to anyone if you can afford it.

Has proven to be somewhat of a bad choice – I have been buying Samsung phones from Optus for 15 years or more and working from exactly the same place. I got the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 128GB (2022) to replace a Samsun Note 9 phone that I enjoyed using very much. As I started to us the S22 I founf that I was having to dial and redial number to make calls. Then people started to tell me… Read more

they were having difficulty calling me. The phone was not registering fully onto the Optus service and Optus were absolutely useless when it came down to identifiying what the problems was. The call centre staff (in the Phillipines) were reluctant to register that there was a problem always claiming that there was work being carried out of the local cell tower. Then when I manage to get a problem logged it would be closed by Optus tech support because they couldn't contact me on the mobile phone (dher!!!). More than a year later the TIO found against Optus for selling a phone that was not fit for purpose. Samsung has no interest or method for users of their phones to to report problems to them.

Finally a great product from Samsung – Got on a good discount of 1299 aud. Love the phone overall. The display is the best. S-pen is good to have for digital signatures although not used much. Battery is average but can easily last over a day upto two with right settings. Cover and protection are a must. Performance is superb and finally their promise of the updates is the buying point… Read more ·  1

Perfect phone with an amazing camera – I have been using this phone for 9 months now and never had any issue. by kids a few times now but fortunately I still don't have a single crack on the screen or on phone. I find the incoming spam message detection feature quite interesting as the phone detects incoming spam automatically and blocks those messages most of the times. Overall, a very good phone and fits my pocket easily (neither too big nor too small).

Great phone – Fantastic camera, s-pen functionality is awesome, good speed (high ram). Only set back - phone is heavy, and I don't like the curved screen as it makes screen protection difficult. Have had it for almost 9 months and have noticed that the battery life is starting to deteriorate. The auto network selection is not very stable causing calls to drop. The issue went away after I totally dropped 5g. Show details ·  1

System set up to ignore the customer – I purchased this phone thinking that I was making an investment. business days (3 calendar weeks) IT took 7 weeks to actually get my phone back.

Their customer service system means that you call the "Voice of customer" department who take a message and will get someone to call you back. After waiting 2 weeks I tried to get in touch with someone. NO ONE returned my calls until week 6.

IT was the worst customer service experience that I have had.

I don't care about the product.

Samsung suport & tec is CRAP – Bought NEW outright, did an update, a bright yellow bar appeared at top of phone (google it) top of the page on search. system check, and need to send off, It took 3 weeks after blaming me just to get a postal address to send the phone away, it then took another week in express post (Cairns/Brisbane) normally overnight, and yet another week to replace the screen that was faulty and the charge point that had no problem or fault. 1 week to send it back, 3 days at Aust post Brisbane airport, and I get it today and the SIM CAR DRAW can NOT be opened. So in total, no phone 6 weeks & now I have to repeat the crap to send it back. I have bought several samsung products, BUT NEVER AGAIN, Fridge, washing dyer machine 75"tv, 55"tv, 2 x 40" tv's, 1x 2s,1x 3note,1x 5s,1x 6s and 3 different tablets, 2x dvd players, so a lot of things, most things are OK, and this last experience wipes it all away. Call the 1300362603 number, and you get the minutes that know and do nothing, level 2 should be better but they just been working long & still very stupid, management and Now the process must start all over again because the dimwit did something to the sim car draw that wont open, even telstra tec couldn't open it. NO MORE SAMSUNG. My mother is 102 yrs old October, not best health, no phone now 6 weeks, I need my phone and they have no service centre in a major city NQ, Cairns, and all they want to do is verify me after you give all details, the job number they generated, your email, your own number, address. BUY another BRAND

Faulty s22 ultra waited over 5 months for a resolution!! – Purchased a s22 ultra in January 2023. The phone wasn't charging and taken to tecworks (Samsung repair shop) in January and deemed to be a factory default. I was initially told by Samsung there's no parts then after few months they told me no stock of the phone. They offered me a s22 ultra a few months later only to offer me a different model and… Read more

different colour (burgundy) then they offered me an s22 ultra with an upgraded memory to 256bg. As I waited almost 3 months for this I stated I wasn't happy. The case manager closed the case ( no one informed me) and I had no contact from the VOC for two months only to call Samsung support to be told there to many cases and they can't keep up with the work load. I had to start a new case only to talk with Ben (VOC) who hasn't not replied to multiple emails to voc email regarding this issue. He stated it was my fault for not accepting the resolution offered and he would not honour the previous resolution as I had rejected it. As the Voice of the consumer Samsung's lack of communication and double standards is utterly shocking. "That's all I can do for you either take this offer or get back a refurbished phone" is what he said. Pretty much forced me to take his offer. No compensation offered by Samsung and very extremely disappointing experience. I asked for alternative email to put in a complaint, Ben (VOC) said its him and VOC team that's deals with these issues and nothing I can do. Expected better from a brand name such as Samsung.

Samsung flagship no longer for me – I have had the phone for 12 months. I love Samsung phone, I hate the Ultra S series, never will buy the flagship phone again. I'm now looking at the A series . The phone is to big to heavy. The screen seems to not always respond by touch. If it's a phone you keep on your desk yes good. It you like a phone in your pocket or purse skip it I say.

Failed to fast charge after a year of use, denied warranty – My Samsung Galaxy S22 phone recently stopped fast charging due to a manufacturing defect. After reaching out to Samsung support, they confirmed that my warranty covers the repair of the charging port. However, there's a dead pixel on my phone's screen, which Samsung claims resulted from physical damage and isn't covered by the warranty. Samsung… Read more

quoted a $620 repair cost for the screen, but I only requested a charging port repair and escalated my claim. They informed me that repairing the charging port requires opening the phone, which could potentially worsen the screen damage. Consequently, they are denying warranty coverage for my device unless I pay the $620 screen repair fee.

In their email response, Samsung disregarded my warranty request for the charging port and focused solely on the screen damage not being covered. They incorrectly implied that I am seeking warranty coverage for the screen, whilst I am actually seeking warranty for the charging port. This violates their obligations under Australian Law and their own Warranty policy.

Furthermore, the screen repair price for the S22 Ultra listed on Samsung's website is $490, not the $620 quoted. The case manager misleadingly offered me a $1xx "discount" as a loyal customer, which only aligns the repair cost with the official price on Samsung's site. This "discount" is misleading, and the discrepancy between the quoted and listed prices may constitute a breach of Australian Consumer Laws.

I have reached out to NSW Fair Trading about this issue and am awaiting their response.

It's worth noting that Samsung consistently ranks among companies with the highest number of complaints. You can verify this information yourself:

Worst phone ever shame on you Samsung ! – I've always been a fan of Samsung and speak highly of their phones, until getting the S22 Ultra. one of the worst phones I've had – I've owned a few phone in my time but the s22ultra exynos2200 would be the worst I've had. the only thing decent about this phone is the screen, gets plenty bright, and looks good, and surfing the internet is smooth, everything else is basic. .120Hz refresh rate isn't noticeable compared to 90Hz, more a gimmick to justify a price hike. it gets… Read more

hot and I mean hot and the battery drains real fast, it lags, Samsung software is annoying with notification after notification, no way turn it offonly limit, in settings. the cameras are a disappointment, I've played around with different settings, pro mode, etc and the cameras suck. photos are hit and miss, everything looks artificial, night time photos are noisy and basic, zoom in and it struggles to focus, keep taping that screen, updates have not improved much, photos now overexposed, daytime video is pretty good, 4k 60 or 8k 30, prefer 4k. I'm not impressed by the camera. comparing it to a P40 pro plus camera, the s22ultra cannot compete in quality especially night time photos. the s pen, I've used it twice, I wouldn't recommend the s22 ultra, buy it and you will have regrets. I paid $1449 for this handful of junk and the price has gone up to over $1800, the s22 ultra at those prices is nothing more than a rip off. mobile phones aren't getting better they are getting more expensive for the same junk year after year. There are no happy S22 owners, the phone is a mid range over hyped into a, flagship. let's get real.

Meanwhile phone is cracking further and almost unusable. Im happy to pay a contribution to the repair, as it was an accidental drop, but a phone should not break when to the severity mine has with a genuine cover.. Ive made the decision to pay else where for repairs as i cannot go without my phone as it is needed for work, and samsung just keep pushing me around. I have had multiple samsung devices over the years and upgrade every 18-24 months, and always loved my samsung, but this experience has left really disappointed. I do not recommend the s22 or spending the money on a genuine cover - break way too easily and the cover does not do as expected. Nor will I purchase in the future.
