All rounded amazing device! – The camera of the phone is a pretty decent one, absolutely cannot take photos in low-light conditions however in good lighting the photos are very clear. The brightness and the customisations of it are amazing and warns you if the screen is too bright and the screen is pretty durable. The processing power of the phone is amazing as I mainly use it… Read more
to play games and there is no frame lag at all and the colours are vivid and bright.
The only major downside to the phone is that it has a terrible battery life after a year or so. I have been using the phone for over 3 years and the battery life lasts for about 3 - 6 hours depending on what you use it for.
Love this phone – Phone is so light and sleek. Operates fast and loads pages/games quickly. Camera is amazing and has options to make your face really clear. Plenty of storage with the 64GB. Charges quickly and charge lasts a decent amount of time. Will definitely buy again. Show details
Durable, easy to use and packed with great features – I finally bought this phone outright almost 2 years ago costing around $850 online. I was happy for it to last 12 months but it lasted almost 2 years and I reckon it would last longer if I had not cracked the screen. After dropping it for the 5th time the screen finally gave in and cracked. If it weren't for the shattered glass and pieces falling… Read more
off I would continue to use it. Durable and easy to use. I use it like a desktop, songs, movies and apps are easily downloaded with no need to sign in or change file format or transfer from the laptop/computer to the phone. Would buy it again or next models up because of these features plus it's user friendly attributes.
Excellent all around except for battery life! – Great phone with a large screen! Processor is decent and there is no noticeable lag for moderate tasks. Colors are bright and vivid. Call and signal quality is decent. The only big issue I have with it is how quickly the battery life goes down! Some days I struggle to get a day's use out of it! Show details
If you want to be ripped off and cause injury to yourself, here's the phone you need to buy – The issue with the phone was that I could not make any calls as the network kept dropping and even when I was able to make a call, my voice or the other persons' voice kept dropping. The phone gets really hot and you can't even touch it when it's hot. I don't let my nephews or nieces come near my phone as it feels like it can EXPLODE any time. I… Read more
never keep it in my pocket as I have seen people getting some serious burns. I took my phone to one of the "Samsung" stores and was advised that I have to pay $300 to fix my screen first as its cracked. I mentioned I am fine with the cracked screen and these issues have nothing to do with a cracked screen. They mentioned if I need to get it fixed I will have to pay the $300 for the screen as they consider phone out of warranty if there is any external damage. One of my friends had an IPhone and had a similar kind of an issue. He got the phone replaced and didn't have to pay a penny even though his screen was also "cracked". So I am highly disappointed with Samsung as i have hit a dead end after putting my trust in a brand for almost 6 yrs and this is the response that i have received. Highly disappointed and disgusted with the brand. Should have never put my trust in this brand. I am never ever going to buy a Samsung phone again and will discourage my family and friends not to buy an expensive ticking time bomb.
Running out of battery – I love my mobile but recently the battery life is going down faster than you can imagine. I will take to be checked and see what can be done about this issue. This is the second time this happens with me. The first time I was told to remove some of the applications. Show details
Great phone, but not for Apple OSX – I am sure everyone is aware of the smart phone war between Apple and Samsung - that Samsung is winning with superior product like this. I wanted to move from iPhone to Samsung for this reason and was told that the S6 Edge would work with Apple OSX - rubbish! I contacted Samsung support after the Samsung shop in Melbourne had spent many hours… Read more
trying to get my contacts, calendar, notes, etc. to sync with my Apple devices (OSX 10.11.3) and was told after some time of trying that they were not compatible and I need to buy a PC if I want them to work!!!
Both companies (Apple and Samsung) are trying to lock consumers into one format or the other - I wanted to use Apple computers as the OS is much superior to Microsoft IMO and the superior phone - Samsung. The stupidity of Samsung's strategy is that they do not make computers so why not do all you can to encourage and help iPhone users to migrate whilst Apple is in trouble with its phones? Stupidity by both companies - leaves the market open to someone that is OS agnostic.
Bottom line is don't buy a Samsung phone if you plan to use Apple OSX.
Work of Art Addiction – After switching from my much loved LG G2 if memory doesnt fail me, the edge plus has excelled in performance, functionality and ease of use. It has performed really well with only a few gripes..yes I hate to be the bearer of bad new's however even Samsung can improve in several area's of " their flagship" The phone looks and feels magnificent… Read more
in your hand until you put it in a case , which if it's a samsung brand are expensive and scratch so easily. I found the clear view case scratchs when folded open on its self ! I even kept the clear plastic protective film on the rear to enhance the protection, to no avail. The glass front and rear with aero space age metal technology just makes you want to use it all the time, however saying that the edge plus curved glass is a bit of a gimmick , only 2 or 3 obvious uses the rest is for bragging rights. However once darkness arrives, the night clock function is cool but needs to be larger so that my bleary old eyes can see it clearly. The natty news and weather feed ribbons are ok...i guess..havnt decided..nah pretty weak on the impress scale.
I have had the phone 4 months and have not used the flashing colour alert when face down. If i was in continous meetings,.. it could be of use.
The camera takes magnificant photo's , i think i would be happy paying the premium price just for the pics it takes and great video. The old saying ...the best camera in the world is the one you have with you. ...this one is very good. I had a play with the manual mode the other day and its impressive, specially in low light.
It's performance is huge and you forget how many apps are open. It's fast and linear operation, between calls and browsing the web to checking how many steps and mapping completed on the fitness app.
The screen is beautiful and if you push it to the max with screen brightness, it's rather splendid with vibrant colour's.
The battery is ok , however if you are a heavey user or just excited to have it in your sweaty pudgy hands ( like mine ) and using it to the max....the battery can go down very quickly and it gets hot too. I tried changing the theme to black and white which made little difference to the battery time.
There is the upside of fast charging, 5 mins gets you up to 40% battery ..yeah baby!!...good to go.. however you have to take the original charger with you if youre out. I havent extended myself to the wireless charging yet.....mehh..$80 for the disc.
With size ..it does matter , this time not big enough as a phablet to use as a couch browser or small enough to fit in you jeans or top pocket or between the console in the car. I have nearly dropped it once already due to its slinky texture. Forget one hand operation peeps...too wide and slippery.
One of my envious gripes is that this baby did not get the stylus pen which dare I say the lesser "note " has. I have seen my bro inlaw use it on his, and ..oh yes ...Samsung please take note. (pardon the punn)
The samsung sync or something like that, for swapping info, numbers and photos's from your old clunker to the newby is great, it was so fast , I couldnt believe it. When I got my new Samsung tablet, wow,... it was the same deal and I had instant beautiful photo's transfered at a blink of an eye to the tablet.
Any who's ..i think I digress...getting late ....getting edge plus withdrawal's ...
I could go on about the great sound, and abundance of samsung n microsoft apps and.. did I mention the great looks?!!
No I didnt buy it for the attention ....no body notices it in youre hand.
However lastly I know its cool , coz my 12 year old twin girls say it is ...I have been trying to convince them away from their mothers "Schmapple" to a "SamBung" as they call it.....they think its gooood.
Enjoy,... do try it and you won't be disappointed.
The Perfect Choice – I recently purchased the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. I was tossing between iPhone 6S Plus or The Galaxy S6 Plus. I am pleased to have purchased the Edge Plus, it is quite different to the previous models. The major differences between iPhone 6s plus and edge s6 plus is that, S6 Edge Plus supports wireless charging out of the box and also the Edge screen… Read more
lighting is awesome. One more thing, the camera resolution is very good. I am extremely happy to own this smartphone. I would not hesitate to recommend this to others. Thank you for reading my review.
so disappointed with its battery – as i said in title, this phone comes with an unpleasant battery. I bought it in brand new about five months ago. two weeks ago i found the back cover got quite hot while charging and from then on the battery drains incredibly quick. if i charge the battery to full before i go to sleep, the battery will turn out to be in quite low when i wake up in… Read more
the morning. i like it's special shape to differ from other phones. but as to those fantastic features in ads, honestly speaking, not practicaly useful at all.
Love my Phone – Have had my phone for a couple of weeks, now! I've had iPhone's, other Samsung Galaxys & Sonys... I have loved them all, for different reasons, but I truly love The Edge Plus! It's beautiful! It charges in a flash, whether via chord or wireless charger. I love the speed of performance, Love the time display on the edge, that doesn't require me… Read more
turning on the phone or being blinded at night! Both front & rear camera's are AMAZING & the size of the screen is fantastic especially since I YouTube a lot! Sound quality is fab as is it's ease of use!
A drawback, is not being able to add your own micro SD card. The quality of the earphones are wonderful, but I think I need to adjust to their shape... I think a stylus would be helpful, also. But so far it's a 4.5 out of 5!
Decent Upgrade From S4 – Phone is quick, takes good pictures and has sleek design. Overall I like it and would recommend it. I have found the fingerprint reader to be somewhat unreliable and I have to type in backup password too often. Compared to my previous S4, this is a huge upgrade. I haven't really found the edge screen to be particularly useful yet.
My new toy has so much to offer – I have switched from iPhone to Samsung about 3 years ago and will never go back. Samsung in general has a far superior keyboard layout with no need to change when a number is needed. I use the larger model Galaxy S6 Edge Plus because I like a large phone that is easier to hold n find in my handbag. The edges give it a very sleek look n have… Read more
functions like clock features at night..
The camera captures amazing pictures and is easily accessed by double clicking the main button anytime.. There are unlimited features any sort of activities. The connectivity is great and playing movies are viewed in high quality screen. I love this phone n my only wish was it came with the S pen like my earlier model and more choice in cases to show off the beauty of this phone while protecting it... Well done Samsung !

Keeps freezing. Very frustrating – I used the galaxy S6 vs edge plus. Edge plus keeps freezing because of edge. Very frustrating. S6 normal is the best. I have also used galaxy note 4 edge. Brilliant phone. The edge was a separate screen and was not affecting the main screen. Would highly recommend S6 normal than edge.
Great phone, expensive for extra features – Got my phone on release date. The phone itself is beautiful, especially the display. The double edge on both sides of the phone make the phone appear more attractive. The display is the most attractive feature, giving it a very sleek look that appears to take up the entire width of the phone. The performance of the phone is snappy and very… Read more
responsive. It has an improved fingerprint reader(can read in a touch). The 'edge features' are somewhat limited and honestly I have only used it a handful of times.
Cons:
- The 'edges' are not as responsive as the rest of the screen. This can be hard for people who wish to tap something such as a menu bar or something and may take multiple taps for it to know that you want to open the menu.
- Can feel quite slippery in the hand without a cover
- The phone body is a fingerprint magnet.
- Pricey
Overall, I would only get this phone if you either really like edged phones or you have extra cash to show off its sleek display.
great phone at a not-so-great price – So I was to upgrade my plan and this time around I upgraded to the S6 Edge+ since I love the feel of the phone in my hand. I have love the S6 Edge but I always wanted a bigger screen having come from the iPhone 4s and I believe the S6 Edge+ is the current best Samsung is offering. And I wasn't disappointed. The screen is great. Very sharp and the… Read more
colors stands out. The camera is very good as well. 1 negative against the Samsung (which they have ridiculed Apple in past ads) is the lack of removable battery and microSD. 4K video is going to take a lot of storage so I've been taking videos mostly as FulHD resolution.
All in all, a great upgrade.
Best phone – I have not had my Samsung S6 Edge plus very long- but I already love it so much! I initially had the S4 and loved it but then lost it. The S5 was never as good. I was actually not going to get another Samsung because of it. However the it was the general look and feel on the Samsung S6 edge plus that I loved so much. The big screen is amazing and somehow everything about it is better! I would highly recommend it!
