I have had this watch for 6 and a half years. Still going absolutely strong what a product. It's obviously discontinued but I can't recommend it enough - these type of products don't last that long these days but this proves all of that wrong. Show details · 2
Shifty sales tactics – The saga of continues, after not wearing the watch for some time Thought I;d give it another go, cant get it out of set up mode, it now tells me information from 2 months ago, won't record my sleep information and now on a regular basis records a fall when no fall occurred and contacts 000. Greatest piece of crap. Samsung's customer support is is about as helpful as a chocolate tea pot
Watch 7 strap suitable for 10 year old – Just bought this smart watch ,latest from Samsung . Why pair it with a strap only suitable for a 10 year old . The watch is great , but the strap was placed by an idiot Show details

Stylish watch – Love how light it is and how I can upload my photos as watchfaces. Battery last all done which is great, sometimes it doesn't sync with the phone when it rings it only notifies me a minute later that l have missed a call. Good step tracker. All in all its alright but not worth the price tag. Show details
Warranty is not as it seems – I loved my Samsung watch, every day use, simple and dependent on it. However if the sensor cover comes off the back, it will no longer charge ,even if you are still paying it off and warranty period is still current it is classified as a "missing part" Samsung will not fix or replace. Great watch, terrible battery life – I was given the 42mm bluetooth watch as a birthday present. Being a Samsung product, the watch is very nice to look at. Super duper easy set up with the Samsung watch. Watch screen is also very nice. Coming from a Garmin watch its a big step up. So overall everything about the watch and app is great. Very easy to customise. Overall I give the… Read more
watch a big thumbs up in terms of look, UI and perfect integration with your Samsung watch. My biggest complaint with this watch, is the battery life. If I logged a 45 min pilates work out, a good 30 min walk, got majority of my notifications from my phone. The battery life from 100% at the start of the day, would drop to nearly 20% at the end of the day. I honestly couldn't stand this. I tried to play golf with this watch, yeah no go. 9 holes on a full charge, with screen on and GPS with the golf app going (2 hours play I was nearly out of batteries), 18 holes, definite no go. So as much as I loved this watch, I couldn't stand the battery life. I tweaked all the settings, I removed all the apps and functions and kept it as simple as possible, had brightness level at 3, even had a fairly dark watch face. On top of that, 2 hours to charge was too long. So if you're e a Samsung die hard fan and you don't mind charging your watch every day, then buy it. I sold mine and went back to the Garmin.

Lovely watch, lousy battery – After years of upgrading my Fitbit with the latest and greatest I decided to make a switch to a watch that looked a little less "smartwatch" and more like a regular watch. The 42mm rose gold Samsung Galaxy watch definitely doesn't disappoint in the looks department. When it comes to performance though - it does lack in a few areas. The… Read more
"Product Expert" at Harvey Norman happily advised I'd get a good 6 days out of the battery which was definitely a step up from my Fitbit Blaze. I figured since I'm at the gym 4-5 times a week perhaps I'd shave a few days off that to be a little more realistic. Well, I definitely overestimated. It lasts 2 days if I'm lucky. Rather disappointed but the features of the watch I must say do still make me love it.
When I first purchased the watch I was an iPhone user. Whilst it worked relatively okay paired with the iPhone, the moment I switched to a Samsung Galaxy S9 (shock horror after YEARS being an Apple fan), I discovered so many other features that paired seamlessly with my phone.
Fitness-wise the heart rate monitor does drop out A LOT. Here's where the Fitbit definitely outshines the Samsung Galaxy watch. The step counter appears accurate, but the "floors" counter does not. Not sure whether I have to update more details in my samsung profile but it appears the calories burnt seem a little over exaggerated during a workout too. (Weights workouts on my Samsung say I burn over 450 calories whereas my Fitbit I was lucky to get to 300 for the same workout)
Despite the unimpressive battery life and some issues using it to track my health and fitness I do still love my watch. It's beautiful, pairs well with my new phone and its nice to wear something a little less "sporty" for every day.
Rose Gold version. Does what I want. Gold wearing off the side after 2 weeks though :( – I like how the Rose Gold is fashionable and the watch isn't too bulky for a woman's wrist. I didn't really buy it for the fitness side of things, but I don't think the step counter is that accurate. I like not having to have my phone in my pocket all the time to know if I have a message or email. Being only a bluetooth model, the range isn't… Read more
very far, but is not a problem for me personally.
Texting is quite easy and you have a couple of options with how to do it, but if your eyes are starting to go, you'll need your glasses! The ready made replies are handy also.
I love how you can change the watch faces to suit what you're wearing or to give you information about your steps, weather etc.
I did notice this morning that the gold is wearing of on the top left hand side of the watch after only 2 weeks. For a $500 watch, I think this is pretty poor. My son has the stainless 46mm version and his still looks like new even though he's had his longer. I did only pay just over $400 for mine due to a sale so at least that makes me feel a bit better.
Battery life for me is good. I don't have the heart rate monitor or always on display on, plus I turn it off at night so I usually get a few days out of it on a charge.
This is a great gadget and once it comes down in price it will be well worth the money.

Perfect Gift – I bought this watch as my gift to my wife. She's so ecstatic about it due to its many features which she loves and she has been enjoying it so far so i recommended it to those who plans to buy a smart watch. Show details · 1

Very useful on the go – My partner brought me a galaxy watch for our anniversary & I love it. Very good functionality, especially when your on the go. I can leave my phone in my bag, etc. & still receive notifications and calls through my watch. Also a good motivator for exercise with the tracking features. I can honestly say I have done more walking since getting the watch. Show details · 1

I really have to think twice to buy another one – Brought less than 16 months ago. Big problems less than a year old. They fixed it. Less than another after. The same was worse. And it was witnessed by jbhifi.
Just smashed it with a rock and best feeling ever. Do not waste your money on one – piece of crop nothing else to say. The day you smash it with a rock is the day you get some satisfaction and value for money.. do not make the mistake of buying this piece of crap. Show details

Lack of flexibility in loading Apps – Unable to load the Medisafe App. therefore the watch in lacking in flexibility and overpriced. The watch was bought for me on the basis I could use it to manage my medications this appears to be beyond the capability of the watch. Show details

This is the worst we had – Watch played up after few months we had. Repaired 3 times and finally after we had no patience left, we raised it with next level. That VOC lady offered replacement and after asking for refund she said that she will have to do paperwork and more time consuming but left on My wife to decide. She asked for refund to which she she refused and… Read more
bluntly said we only have an option or replacement. I knew that she is doing all this to do less work which se mentioned before. We still have the watch sealed pack as we lodged the complaint with ACCC and other relevant body.

Very disappointed – Purchased because the reviews and Samsung Product Review said it was Waterproof and was good for general swimming along with the other heath apps and general design. expel the water as per instructions, still in the pool. After I tried to charge the watch but it would not do anything. I sent it to a service centre who said it was irrepairable and was water clogged. The watch is only 9 months old. They said it was a user problem and it was not covered by any guarantee. The UK Samsung Office sent information (small print) to help me understand why it may not be covered. In this information it said that even though it is supposed to be waterproof you cannot touch it with wet hands. So that means if you are swimming you cannot stop the watch to end your swimming until your hands are dry. Or expel the water until your hands are dry. So if you are looking for a watch that is good for a swimmer please do not chose this or you maybe very DISAPPOINTED and lose your watch and the high price tag that comes with it. Please read the small print.

Good Smartwatch which does all the basic things we need – This is my First Smartwatch. It's pretty decent it does all the basic stuff like counting steps, heart rate monitor, and sleep tracking. In my opinion sleep tracking is not the best compared to Fitbit fitness trackers. Overall it's good for its price range. Show details · 1

up, used it to find that while I was swimming I was walking at the same time, again back to Samsung. I asked for an exchange apparently their head office decides on those decisions so they fixed it again. Picked it up again to find the watch is completely inaccurate including the heart rate now, so off again to Samsung. The service in the stores are great but when it comes to the service repair terrible, I have yet again asked for a replacement and will see what happens otherwise I will be contacting fair trading as this is ridiculous as the product is faulty inaccurate and does not do what is marketed

Very bad battery life etc – This is probably the worst rip of product on the market, and I too like JinkyG below, have the same issues. I have already taken it to a service centre, which they had it for approximately 2 hours i would think and said they could not re-produce the overheating or battery draining. I now have to take more time off work to go back to get it… Read more
looked at again - it's hard to get to Fountain Gate for me, and probably to be told the same thing. This time I have taken photos of the draining battery and overheating. I lose OVER 50% battery overnight when in nightime mode, which I would have thought wouldn't use any. If I don't get this REPLACED I will be seeking legal advice.

Battery life is rubbish as well as the resolution from Samsung VOC – My husband gave this to me as a birthday present. The first 2 weeks I had the watch, it was perfect. Enter the 3rd week, I was at work, it drained my battery within 3.5 hours of use at work. And I noticed that it keeps on vibrating intermittently (atleast twice an hour) to let me know that the battery life is draining then the watch itself felt… Read more
hot hence I removed it. The following week (by this time, I had the watch for 30 days), sent it to Samsung pop up booth at Fountain Gate. They sent it for repair and after 4 working days I was contacted and told that they didn't find anything wrong with the watch itself. Reluctantly I took the watch back on the 10/07/19. The following day, darined the battery within 6 hours and the gadget felt hot again when it was down to 15% battery life and I had to enable the power saving mode. The 2nd day, battery life only lasted tops 5 hours. I also noticed that from 6:35 am with 100% battery life, by 8:10 am, the battery was down to 82% . Shocking, I know. So much for there's nothing wrong with my watch at all. 2 days after I got it back, it was sent back again for repair. This time the staff has escalated it to their ??VOC. The watch was re sent back to Samsung pop up booth on the 12/07 in the evening. I received a phone call from their Sydney office today 17/07, again, as per their words, NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE BATTERY after their intensive testing . And the resolution I have is to take their piece of rubbish back and they will give me some form of a log in record so that if it did the same crap again, I should call their tech team and troubleshoot the junk myself!!! I have turned off notifications from apps, no 3rd party apps was downloaded on my watch. Whatever apps they have installed was the one I have there. I don't even use the watch to call as my phone always stays in my locker at work and bluetooth doesn't allow me to receive anything if the 2 gadgets ( watch and phone are over certain meters apart). Even their representative from their Samsung booth told me that I do not have any apps in the background that could drain my battery that fast! I am so disappointed. I have not received the gadget back yet but the guy from their booth told me he will run some test when he gets it back hopefully tomorrow. I will keep you up to date as to how will I go with this saga. I don't want any refund, I want the product just not the same watch because I think it is a dud piece of watch. It is 6 weeks old, not like I had it for a year!!!

The watch doesnt work! Samsung wont refund my money! – I purchased 2 Samsung Watches in October 2018 for my husband and myself. I previously used a FitBit so was aware of my activity levels. I found that my Samsung watch did not record my steps accurately, or map my sleep or other activity effectively. I called the contact centre within the 1st week and was told it would have to go for an assessment.… Read more
I didn't have the time to go drop off the watch for an assessment immediately. In December I ran a test of the Samsung watch just for step counting. I counted my steps manually, i compared it with the fitbit and I compared it with my husband's samsung watch. Despite my complaint being about 'accuracy' the samsung centre just tested if the watch pedometer works, which it does. I then lodged a VOC assessment. Same thing. Did not test accuracy, only checked if the pedometer works. I have asked for a refund or a replacement and have been told that since no error has been found this cannot happen. Well of course no error has been found since samsung insists on testing the wrong thing. I did another test on 14 Feb between my husband's watch and mine and there is a difference of 600+ steps. I am not doing this for fun. I have other Samsung products and have enjoyed using them but this has really soured the whole experience. I have followed Samsung's processes and procedures to no avail. How can a company which needs to provide a refund or replacement assess the product in an unbiased way?!?!?! I was ok with a replacement earlier but I will now be going to FairTrading to get my money back because I am done.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Annika.… Read more (+1 reply)
Awesome – I bought the Galaxy Smart Watch after doing research into Smart Watch options. I got an amazing deal and paid $399 at Rebel Sport. I have been really pleased with the functionality. Where have you been all my life?! – I never had too much interest in smart watches. I didn't see what the hype was about when you can do everything on your phone anyway. Christmas I used really cute Xmas themes). I love the steps counter. It's actually stopped me using my phone so much as you get sent notifications on your watch and I can look and see when they pop up and see if they are important or not. I get so many compliments on my watch. When it rings and my phone isn't handy I feel like Maxwell Smart talking into my watch haha. My favourite feature is the find my phone button. I'm forever forgetting where I put down my phone and this button rings the phone and helps me find it straight away. So impressed and grateful I got gifted such an amazing present.
Just the best smart watch – I'm so happy with the performance of my Gear S3 that I bought Galaxy Watch 42MM. Almost identical specs with Gear S3 but now it is now completely water proof. I give the users a lot of health information which is vital when you are trying to loose so weight or just want to be active. There are tons of available apps to maximize the watch usage.
