Finally, my Samsung microwave oven has broken down!! Yeah!! It worked but wasn't a really good functional oven. * Difficult to see the inside of the oven due to mirror finish glass door that has the outside reflection on the door, particularly if the outside lighting is brighter than the inside of the oven. The outside reflection on the door… Read more

prevents one to see what is going on inside. The strength of the oven lighting is NOT able to counter the outside lighting.

* The buttons on the panel are not very sensitive and cannot feel the buttons.

* The clock of the oven tend to lose time, i.e. lagging as time goes by.

I have bought myself a LG as a replacement and it is marvellous. I had another LG before this Samsung and it lasted 7.6 years. This Samsung lasted 5.3 years - bought in Jan/2021 and it broke down on 10/May/2026

Samsung Microwave - Excellent Product – The Samsung Microwave has an excellent choice of pre-set & manual functions available. We prefer to heat up or cook regular meals using a power level + set time as it's often quicker & has more consistent results. This Microwave allows you to do this quickly and easily using the timer and power level options. It also has a child lock, sound… Read more ·  1

on/off & a kitchen timer. It comes with a 2 year warranty & an extra option to cover it for replacement for another 2 years (so total of 4 years cover). It isn't as noisy and clunky as our previous Sharp microwave (which barely lasted 3 years!) & whilst we didn't set out to buy a Samsung brand of Microwave, we are very happy we did. We purchased ours 7 months ago and would definitely recommend it.

Mixed bag of a microwave – I've had this microwave for 3.5 years and while it usually does its job well, it has some annoying quirks and issues which will probably steer me away from buying another Samsung microwave in the future. Particularly also because I dread having to reach out to Samsung support about these issues - I've got some lingering PPSSTS (post-post-sales… Read more

support traumatic stress) with Samsung.

The good / average stuff:

- It usually does a good job of microwaving and defrosting. Not faultless, but nothing to sneeze at for a low-to-mid range microwave. - It's runs quietly for the most part. It's about as quiet as my last microwave. Certainly not loud. - The steam clean function (using the provided plastic hanging thing - the manual calls it a 'water bowl') is interesting and mostly works well, although I wonder whether I can achieve the same results by just wiping the inside with a cloth and warm water.

The bad stuff:

- After about 2 years, some of the digits on the digital number display started fading and eventually malfunctioning. Now some of the digits won't light up properly and instead appear like faded 8's. - Despite the microwave having an interior light, you can't really see inside while it's cooking because the door glass is dark frosted, which is a really odd and unfortunate design choice. - All the buttons on the microwave need a fair bit of force to register. Quite a few times I've pushed the whole microwave back when I push the buttons. - The front window is plastic and has developed some weird fading/scuffing right along the middle top of the window, I'm assuming this is a result of the dispelling of heat along the top over time.

Overall, it's an 'OK' microwave taking its price-point into account, but I don't think my next microwave will be a Samsung.

Style over function – Seems to have good build quality and basically meets my needs for a microwave, but not easy to use. I have under bench space for a microwave, but when looking at buttons, the reflective plastic makes the keypad hard to see, as can be seen on the photo (Can you see the Start button? How about the Cancel button?). It doesn't help that you have to… Read more

press the exact centre of button for it to work. There is no tactile feel to buttons either, and I'm relying completely on the little beep sounds for each press. It looks nice, but annoying to use. It's an OK microwave, but it could have been a whole lot better.

RIP—She Just Up and Died – Bought less than 3 years ago and it's out of warranty as luck would have it. We used it for basics. There's only two of us, so it's never got a huge workout. Positives- It has worked well until now and is easy to clean. Things that bug me- -The light inside is dim and you can't see when cooking/heating. - The operating panel is too hard to read… Read more

and is a massive cause of frustration What really bugs me- - It died after warranty expiration. It began making a loud humming sound when not in operation. The way to stop the noise was to open the door. I did that and a different noise arrived. It turned out the glass turntable inside was rotating on its own in both directions. A bit like Linda Blair's head in The Exorcist. It produced a burning electrical odour and on testing for a Samsung rep, it stopped heating water.

It's the MAGNETRON. Samsung offered me a 15% discount on a new one via their website.

it does not meet my requirements – It is not easy to use. The selection panel is hard to see and the light inside is so dim you cannot see inside. This microwave was given to my as a gift after coming out of hospital. I am house bound and do not know what to do. I would not have bought this model and I am not happy being stuck with a product that does not meet my needs. Show details

Perfect for my needs – The microwave is excellent. Food heats up perfectly and there is an option to steam heat using a small jug which is included. Simply fill the jug with water and place in microwave. I have had this microwave for atleast 2 months now and use it daily. Its also very easy to clean due to the ceramic glass. Simply love it and highly recommend. Show details ·  1

Returned and had a different microwave within a week – bought this microwave to replace our 12 year old microwave, firstly took twice as long to heat our baby bottle than our old microwave then after a week during its first extended use of 10 minutes the microwave just turned off, i tried to move it to check the plug and the outside of the microwave was too hot to even touch, returned the next day and paid extra for a different make.

This is perfect! – I purchased this microwave about 5 months ago. It was reasonably priced and i am really pleased with the appearance of this oven. Great microwave – This is a great microwave, with plenty of room and power. Reheating is a dream with this microwave due to its large internal size and inverter technology. It is well worth the extra money for this model, it is very stylish and easy to use, even the kids can use it. A+  Show details

Nice microwave – This is a very good microwave to use. Quiet powerful. It's sleek and looks modern and suits the interior of our apartment. It is not noisy. It has a number of sensor cook settings and a handy 30-second button. The dark glass makes it difficult to check inside while heating, not much of a big deal, however.  Show details

ok to use – This microwave is Ok to use but i can not see inside which makes it hard to check food that is being heated up. Sometimes the egg spilled because I did not stop it on time as can not see through the dark glass door. otherwise, it is good in general.  Show details

RELIABLE – Great micro wave that performs well. Lots of different options available. Very pretty to look at due to mirror front finish! Only criticism is that buttons require a lot of pressure to recognise touch. Otherwise, is a good size and loving it so far! Do recommend as a mid range option.  Show details

Decent microwave – Its a decent addition to our house. It works well. We use it to boiling potatoes, reheating food etc. Occasionally we have to reboil the potatoes. Wish it is intelligent in that aspect. It doesn't make much noise either. Also it looks very attractive in the kitchen. I recommend it.  Show details

Solid microwave – Great device, keypad straight forward to use, lots of functionality but haven't really utilised or needed them. Good even heating and convinient quick reheat options. Has power saver option to save some electricity use. Self clean bit of a gimmick and power level selection is a bit unintuitive. Overall decent  Show details

Great microwave with good features – This is the second microwave I've owned, and I like it a lot more than my last. It works well, and, unlike my previous microwave, has preset cooking features that I use constantly. Also, love that it has a mute setting so I no longer have to listen to the annoyingly loud beeps.

Awesome – I bought this when I moved into my own place. Was sceptical because of Samsung’s history with fires caused by their appliances, but after 4 months it’s proved reliable. It cooks and reheats well without the usual cold spots in the food. It cleans easily inside and out, despite the outside being stainless steel. I’d recommend this product.  Show details

Not overwhelming but does the job – This microwave is not overhwhelming in its features or performance, however it comes at a low cost and does what it is required to do - it is a good budget microwave. very good microwave – it looks great and cooks food efficiently. it does however take more than time to cook the food. re heating cold chicken is not very good as i have to put it in the oven for 2 - 3- 10-15 minutes in the oven. it looks very stylish and innovative.  Show details
