Didn't even last 4 years. I bought it in July 2021 and it stopped working last week. I didn't even use it that much. I mainly used it for heating the food. I never cook in microwave. I won't buy LG. Show details
For me, it was a downgrade at the same wattage – I purchased this several years ago for $240.00 and was disappointed from the onset as it did not seem as efficient as my last microwave (took a lot longer) at the same wattage. It stopped working after seven years and this time I purchased a Big W special for $90.00 that is far superior in every way, much like the one prior to the Samsung purchase. Show details

No issues – I had this microwave for more than a year, although I am not such a heavy user so this needs to be taken into account. Very simple to use and it doesn't have any irritations that come to mind. Heats the food well (comparing this to my 10 year old LG which also does a good job). flimsy which causes some reverb sounds when closing the door and during operation. - Noticably noisier operation, not terrible but noticeably louder compared to our old LG and other brands I’ve used in my lifetime. - Keypad beeps are so loud (I’m aware they can be muted), would be nice to have a medium level of beep. Maybe a single press “night” mode to lower the keypad beep and finish beeps. - White ceramic interior would be great, that will help with the lighting issues and make it easier to spot the mess.

steaming hot while the middle part is still as cold as it was taken out of the fridge. But it still does the decent job for some function, for example it can soften butter without melting it, or melting butter without boiling it. Overall, I am not satisfied with this product.

cannot comment on the programmed cooking etc as i never use it, i just select time & power levels. It does the job very well & has worked reliably so i'm quite happy with it.
There are some cons though: The exterior case is a bit loose & makes quite a loud vibrating noise when cooking. The buttons are quite hard to read, why put writing on a black or grey background?? But the main thing i've noticed is i need to push the buttons on the panel quite hard for them to work,. I can foresee it may get to the point where i actually need to get this repaired. Its a shame, if not for these things i would give it 4 or 5 stars.
It does the job – It's a great size and looks great. microwave, but definitely lacks in heating food up evenly, which my old microwave did a better job.... It's easy to clean and quiet and has a reminding beep after a minute. Not bad but not great.

Don't Buy it. You have been warned. Cannot see inside the Microwave – You cannot see inside the Microwave. The tinting is so dark you cannot see anything cooking. There is a light inside but it is not bright enough to be able to see anything through the door. Show details

Don't buy! Lighting inside is non existent – So disappointed. We needed a microwave and went this as nothing much else available due to covid. You can't see anything in it while cooking. It's terrible! Everything else is great but looking into a dark microwave to see if things boiling over or exploding you can't see. I'd not recommend unless this is fixed up. Sometimes we do notice bit of uneven heating but not a big concern. The noise levels are just ok and can be improved in my view.
Unfortunately it stopped working about a week ago, although it powered up and rotated the tray but didn't heat up the food. I contacted Samsung support who were really helpful and assisted in the process while i took it to the service centre for initial assessment and then repairs. It took about 3 days in total to assess and fix. I was a bit annoyed at first as I expect these appliances to run for years however upon raising concerns with Samsung, they did back their product and ensured i had it up n running.
I'm giving it 3 stars solely because of the reason that it broke down thus adding to my reliability concerns else its a straight 5. I hope it runs perfect for another couple of years after the parts replacement. Otherwise, it is definitely a great addition to home for daily use and i would recommend it! Considering its use by my family, we don't really see any issues at all from functionality purpose! A suggestion for anyone experiencing problems, please do contact Samsung support first for any issue as trying to figure things out yourself just adds to frustration.

Simple and functional – We use our microwave largely for warming up, defrosting so have no need for anything fancy. This model does the job very well and given its price it was a great bargain for $179. The combination of a dark door glass and a rather weak interior light does not allow seeing the inside compartment well, which seems to be an issue for other users as well. Show details
Confusing – I bought this microwave to replace my Kogan. The panel lights are very dull and you have to turn on the overhead kitchen lights to see it. Quality Samsung microwave - cooks fast! – We got this mostly based on looks and because its Samsung but it just so happens to be a really excellent microwave too! It cooks significantly faster than out crappy old Russel Hobbs one. Its only 100w more (1000w vs 900w) but it just does a much better job all around although in reality I mostly just use it to reheat cold coffee lol. read the manual. It is easily cleaned and have had no issues with it getting dirty in hard to reach places over the 3 years of the original model.
Food is always well heated evenly and defrosting is consistent too. Used almost every day it is powerful and reasonably quiet.

Good functional microwave – I was a bit hesitant about choosing a Samsung after the "exploding" incidents but Appliance Online assured me that it was safe. I think it was a reasonable price for the size. My workplace has 2 Samsung microwaves and it seems to be durable considering the number of staff who used them. Good reliable microwave – No issues with this microwave. It doesn't go above and beyond but it certainly does what it's supposed to do. Some of the settings aren't entirely intuitive but it does have some smart functions which can help you out in a pinch if you're not sure for how long to microwave something for (eg frozen food).
