Just had my Samsung srl449ew delivered today............its been on for about 2 hours and its reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy noisy, will it settle down????????????
You are aware, that you should not operate it for some time after delivery?! Can't remember how many hours, but usually the delivery guy tells you or if not it's in the manual. It's for the cooling liquid to get back to where it should be after being transported.
The guy from Harvey Norman plugged mine in straight away and it was also very very noisy. Harvey Norman told me this was normal for up to a week after installation. After about 4 or 5 days it settled down and now after 3 months I don't hear a thing. Just relax, give it a week. If it is still noisy after a week call the supplier.
Hi .... thanks for the answers, GermCan... I did leave it to settle all day, and can happily say that this evening Im not hearing a thing, Kate McBean, thanks for your answer too.. I was soo worried last night......
OK, now Im worried again, its buzzzzing and humming again. its been buzzing and humminbg for about an hour now, sounds like the electric fan on the bottom, is this normal??...will give it the full week but im worried!!
Mine really did make seriously loud noises for at least 4 days but after a week it was fine. If after a week it hasn't settled down, call the supplier.
Mine had an issue with damper which was replaced and now everything is fine
So an update is that the noise didn't stop and the fridge didn't cool anything, bottles of coke after 5 hours didn't cool, we called Harvey Norman got a guy who said those famous words *I will look after you* ......he called Samsung, a guy came out and the fan on the top of the fridge was hitting the cooling thingy - thus the noise - thus the reason it didn't work properly............all fixed now , no noise and working perfectly........thanks
Position it into its new space. Before you plug it in, let the refrigerator sit for at least 2-3 hours. Because an oil and liquid refrigerant mix can accumulate in the compressor's suction muffler/accumulator while laid down and cause the compressor to pump liquid when it starts. As liquid isn't compressible it damages the discharge valves or next weakest part.
Leave it plugged in. It'll take a while before the fridge is ready to use. Some require 3 days before they'll reach an optimum temperature. Check your manual for details.
I want a SRL449EW with a left hand door or a kit to do it myself
Mate you will never get one for Left hander. Just use your Left hand to open the door ? If you drive the car how do you open the door to get inside. From the Left Door and then move to the Right handside Driver seat?
