Bought it in Late 2020. It was great all the way along. A couple of days ago heard excessive vibration, today checked while it was running due to excessive noise and a burning smell, drum was out of alignment and gasket rubbers were disintegrated and broken. money. Why don’t the $1000 products last for at least 5 years?! Ideally, 7-10 years would be good. I bought a second hand Simpsons top loader for $100 about 10 years ago for work clothes, still going good.

Great machine with one flaw - could apply to other Samsung Washing Machines – If you wash a single item that can hold a lot of water. Like a towel, the machine never goes into the spin cycle. This appears to be because it senses an out of balance of the drum. That's good, but if you do not spot this, the machine just carries on stuck at the 9 minute remaining. For ever.

Pump failed just inside warranty. What a piece of junk. Used by only my wife and I (used maybe once or twice a week) – The water pump failed after 18 months. Last LG machine was considerably more reliable. Show details

Good and worth of buying – Super useful and satisfying. I would highly recommend. Easy to use and very less noise. Easy single dollar spent on it was worth it. It was a best decision that I made in 2020 Show details

Great Machine BUT – I bought my Samsung about 12 months ago. It’s a very quiet machine EXCEPT the rinse mode! The machine intermittently has bursts of water while in this mode and it’s so loud! I don’t know why no one else has mentioned it! Maybe my water pressure is super fast but this is the only fault I have found. Every other function is super quiet. Clothes… Read more

come out beautifully clean. The only worry I had was when I first used the machine it had a horrible smell when I opened the door. After a couple of washes it went though. Apart from the water turning off and on multiple times during the rinse cycle it’s been a great washer.

DO NOT BUY – I’m an electrician specialising in washer and dryer repairs. Avoid Samsung at all costs. Machines regularly fail just outside of warranty and are costly to repair.

Samsung 8.5kg front loader washing machine – Entire drum failed after 3 years and three months. Purchased Jan 2019 for $699. Not covered by factory 24 month warranty. Parts plus shipping approx $300 so not worth repairing. Will never buy again. Show details

Absolutely Rubbish – We purchased this machine in June 2021 it was working great then it trapped an item of clothing between the door and ripped the seal. Samsung said I either overloaded the machine which I didn’t or had something stuck in the door at the beginning which I didn’t also their manual states it would have an error if this occurred anyway which it didn’t.… Read more

So we replaced it ourselves and then I carried on very cautiously making sure as I had done in the beginning to make sure no over stacking and no items in the door. Halfway through a load it has happened again! It completely pulled the seal off. This machine is garbage I’ll never buy Samsung again

Don’t purchase this machine!! – I have had this machine for under 2years ! Within the first 6 months I had to have the mother board and the thermostat replaced and the Samsung engineer told me the thermostat hasn’t been working at all since I bought this machine ? Then all marks on the clothes all the time, called Samsung again , sent out the engineer again and another error… Read more

code appeared, so fixed again. Now more stains on clothes and started to smell terrible, engineer come out again and said the filter is faulty and the motor needs replacing? Where do this end on a new machine? I have asked for a replacement or money back off Samsung but haven’t heard back yet? I would rather the money back so I don’t go down this road again!

Great machine (2020 purchase) but a couple of issues - 1 especially annoying – Great machine for a single or small family. Has proven a good buy except for the following (more of an annoyance than a deal breaker). 1: Only has a cold water inlet so any hot water needed for a wash is heated by the machine. We generally use cold water for all but work clothes. But this means higher electricity cost (and home hot water system is… Read more

under utilised). 2: Clothes softener fill level is tiny. Most clothes don't come out smelling "fresh" from a scented softener at all (choice of up to 5 rinses in 1 wash cycle). The softener seems to be used at the first rinse. Filling above the indicated line appears to achieve nothing. 3: Probably the biggest gripe - the front door seal assembly has a drain hole. BUT any dirt, grease, tissues etc from the wash (OR the previous wash if greasy/dirty) can leave residue in the bottom door seal area. The bottom section of the seal needs to be cleaned thoroughly before removing clothes from the machine (especially anything white!). We have several white items (mainly sheets) that now have permanent markings as we didn't pick this up till after the fact.

Disappointed with Samsung support – My Samsung front loading washing machine is leaking as it’s rubber seal broke just after 4 years. I have complained to Samsung multiple times to replace it for me without charge as the machine is covered under extended warranty and the machine has always been used with care. All I receive every time is a standard response saying I will be charged… Read more

for the fix. It is so unfair to charge the customer for the poor quality seal that broke within a few years.

WORST MACHINE & COMPANY – I’ve had my machine for two years and put an extra 3 years warranty on as well. In the two years I’ve had it, the seal has broken TWICE due to noises the machine makes from jumping up and down. under my warranty. The seal and barrel were changed the first time and now the same problem arises. I’ve got a faulty washing machine and I’m forced to pay for it when it’s covered under warranty. Samsung, you’re ridiculous & I will be taking this further with the ACCC & the media as I’ve seen many people having this problem and Samsung doing nothing about it!

Customer service is terrible – I’ve only had this machine for 6 months and something has broken on it which could in no way be a fault of my own. Samsung insists it is not their fault and refuses to cover me under warranty even though it is basically a brand new machine and I have a 2 year warranty on the machine. Do not recommend dealing with Samsung! Show details

A great washing machine 4 years on – A great washing machine, suitable for many types of clothing, including shoes! I use no heat with the daily wash cycle which is super handy because we leave it on this setting (about 40 min run time) and we can add extra rinses easily (which my partner does to wash his extra dirty work clothes). The washing machine will play a song once the load… Read more ·  1

is finished however will take several more minutes to unlock the door before the washing can be unloaded. The one star negative is that the quick cycle actually leaves the clothes sopping wet which seems as if it just cuts the spin cycles off the end. Also it can be slightly noisy (think helicopter taking off) but this is only for a few minutes of the cycle. Overall I'd recommend this machine to a friend... It was actually my mum who recommended it to me!

A flawed machine – We originally bought the Samsung washing machine, and we thought it was great. And for a while, it served us well. That is until we experienced our first door seal tear. The grey silicon rubber sitting inside the machine looks like silicone/rubber, but it might as well be made out of cardboard. The flaw with this machine is that clothing can… Read more

become stuck inside the seal or door, the machine does a few rotations, and it puts a tear/split into it. I've come to learn this is a typical Samsung washer fault. I've had to replace our door seal twice. The first time I had an authorised Samsung tech come out, it cost us almost $400. I bought a seal online (a genuine one) the second time, and I replaced it myself for $100.

When the seal gets a slight split, the machine will leak water. So, you have to get the seal fixed. If you do it yourself, there are plenty of videos online, but you will void your warranty (not that Samsung covers torn seals under warranty anyway), and it is quite time consuming to do the first time.

The machine washes very well, and we've never had a problem with how it functions, but build-wise, it's a flawed machine. Eventually, if you own this, you will experience a door seal break, and Samsung will not cover it under warranty because their argument is "no moving parts" so the blame is on you. We are so careful in our house with the machine (like walking on eggshells), and no matter how careful we've been, it still tears. The reason for editing this review is it just tore a third time. We'll probably just get a new machine from a different brand.

Reliable and effective – 7kg front loader We have this machine running multiple times a day most days due to having a baby that uses cloth nappies. I have always been happy with the results. spin speed, temperature, soiling level). It was sold as a "bubble soak" and I still haven't figured out what the advantage of that feature is. My one gripe is we haven't found a manual for our exact model so there are some settings which are a mystery!

Love samsung! – Have had alot of washers in the past but none have compared to this one! In a shared house so alot of washing and different types. It handles my delicate clothes to anothers business attire to anothers filthy workers clothes brilliantly. Really easy to use and understand and much quieter so the longer washing time for some cycles doesn't even bother us. Show details ·  1

Quiet, 1400RPM, efficient and cheap – Excellent machine for the price with a plethora of options, using the eco wash this is a vast improvement from the older samsung machine we were using. Sings a little song at the end, which is pretty long but is otherwise a quiet and performing budget machine. Clothes actually feel better after. Show details ·  1

I have had this product for about 6 months and love it – I wash all my clothes in this washing machine, from doonas to delicates and it's amazing. the controls are easy to use and the cycle times are great, as you can have it on for a quick wash for 30 minutes or a deep clean for 1 hour and a half.
