This mattress is very comfortable and supportive for my my spine, which is of the utmost importance to me, having had many lumbar issues over the years. it's going to have lasting durability. I think it's absoluetly brilliant. I can't remember when I last slept this well.

This is my 2nd Sealy mattress and I have no reason to consider any other option. I find the mattress prefect for my requirements. I would prefer for it to be a little lighter for ease of replacing sheets especially as I age more. Show details ·  1

is just right for me. It's an absolute pleasure getting into bed now. I used to wake with a sore lower back, but that has now gone. The mattress gives great support, but is so comfortable, and well made. I'm a pretty bad sleeper, and I'm actually sleeping somewhat better now as well, which is a miracle for me. My only issue is why the hell I put off buying myself a good quality mattress for so long! So glad I chose Sealy :-)

Looking for a new mattress I didn’t know where to start. Sealy has always been a great brand. Online I found their mattress selector and used that to work out which mattress was right for me. Excellent mattress. Love the plush feel of it, very comfortable and supportive. I have back problems and since I've slept on it I have not had any issues. I do believe that the mattress is very durable and hope to sleep on it for at least the next 10 years. Show details ·  1

feel in the morning: I used to wake up stiff and sore on a Koala mattress, but with the Acclaim I’m waking up fresh and moving well straight away. I’m also sleeping noticeably better overall, which is saying something even with two toddlers in the house.

You can tell the quality is there; the springs feel strong and stable, and the mattress holds its shape really well. We rotate it regularly and I make a point of sleeping in the middle occasionally to keep the wear even, and it’s stayed balanced and comfortable.

All up: awesome product. Supportive, cool, and genuinely improves recovery and daily comfort.

Mattress and bed a very comfortable, and the controls are easy to understand. It was a little disappoinitng that the bed itself does not have a 'bed-making' mode - ie the bed being raised flat to about waist height, but other configuration of the controls achieves nealry the same outcome. give the support my husband needs, without sacrificing the comfort I need. I have been known to sleep all night in the zero gravity position because I fall asleep really quickly and sleep very soundly - I did check that this wasn't harmful!!! Great products Sealy!

They should tell you when you’re buying a ‘Plush’ mattress that it’s not going to be ‘Plush’ when you receive it. all the Acclaim Posturepedic in the Plush and the retailers were each telling me that their Acclaim product was designed with different core materials. Naturally I called Sealy to confirm, essentially the only difference between each of these products is the quilt stitching. Same product.

Now that’s out of the way I can get to the review.

I ordered an Acclaim Posturepedic from Amart. This is supposed to be a very plush mattress and when I tried it in store it was nice. I’ve also had a Posturepedic for over 13 years and I had no issues, was the mattress from heaven. This was no longer the case with my new mattress.

This new Sealy mattress is like sleeping on a concrete floor. I’ve had a better night sleep on a 35mm cheap foam swag matt.

I’m a side sleeper and my arm gets pins and needles, my hip is so sore I can’t bare it and my calf is seizing up after 20 minutes. My mother needs a firm mattress and I’ve never been able to share her bed when I’ve stayed but when I last visited and sat on her bed it felt like soft heaven in comparison and I started to fall asleep.

I’ve lost so much sleep with this mattress that I struggle to get through the day. It’s becoming dangerous. I have to pull over driving to work because I’m falling asleep and I take a nap in the car before I leave to drive home.

I spoke to Sealy and their response was to continue using the mattress that because of the new foams I need to ‘wear it in’. How ridiculous is that? For almost $5,000 you get a bed you can’t sleep in that makes living almost impossible. I miss the days you could buy a ‘plush’ mattress and have the most amazing sleep the night of delivery.

I was so wrong to trust Sealy. Please don’t make the same mistake.

Month update: it’s been a month of agony but I’ve followed Sealy’s instruction to sleep in one area for 2 weeks and then sleep in another to continue wearing the mattress in. I’m in so much pain it brings me to actual tears. I’ve been getting 4 hours sleep in the 10 hours I’m trying to sleep. The concrete slab isn’t getting any ‘plusher’ but is getting lumpy. One month old and I’m sitting on an angle while I’m reading in bed. Sealy’s response was typical, they’ll essentially take the bed away to inspect it for fault during manufacturing, no mention of what I’ll sleep on in the meantime, and if they don’t find any faults I pay for the transport and labour costs of inspection. Basic Consumer Law for faulty goods.

I’m convinced Sealy are now using cheap materials because this is ridiculous. As consumers, we have the right to be informed what we’re ordering isn’t going to be what we receive. I’m devastated.

4 month update: Still a slab. Has not become any ‘plusher’ as per Sealy’s defence. Oh, and the ‘minimal partner disturbance’ they market is pure nonsense, I can feel my 5kg pet re-adjust on the foot of the bed as if they were behind me.
