Really disappointed. Only did half the job and massively overpriced according to the guy we had to get in to finish the job. Also couldn't figure out why our down heaters wouldn't turn off despite 3 seperate visits. Seem to send apprentices who don't really know what they're doing who then get on the phone to someone else. Save yourself a lot of trouble, time and money by getting someone else instead.

They wanted to charge $1350 to install a simple outside tap, that would of been located right next to the watermeter. Im not sure if this was an "i dont want the job" overpriced quote but I managed to find someone else install the tap for $400. Would not recommend.

of my 93 year old father during an overwhelming & stressful hot water problem he encountered recently in his own home. I found that he was not given any options, such as rebates on old gas hot water systems etc and, as he would have been quite focused on having the hot water fixed, he has not understood anything other than trusting that his hot water would be fixed. Yes the problem was fixed but the business representative should have issued a quote before proceeding with the job to allow other family members to review & agree with what was being recommended. It is common knowledge that our elderly parents should not be making these sort of decisions by themselves and businesses need to be mindful of their duty of care to give this opportunity!

My 93 y/o father called this service provider (also known as Mr Service Plumbing & Electrical) after receiving a flyer in his letterbox, to assist with his hot water not working. A representative attended my father's home and after a conversation with my father took $800 payment on the spot and had him sign on a tablet on the same day for works to be done and, to my knowledge, without providing a quote let alone any idea on the total cost. The business attended the next day to 'fix' the hot water problem then took balance of payment, including Pensioner discount, approximately $8,500!

After speaking with the business' Operations Manager who agreed he would not expect his elderly father to make such decisions without referring to family also mentioning that on the day of discussions with my 93 year old father it appeared that my father seemed to understand what was discussed. However my father has no recollection of the total price discussed and was extremely agitated and upset with himself that he had paid such an excessive amount after the plumbers finished the job.

One of the directors has stepped in and also agreed that a 'duty of care' was not exercised prior to commencing this job and this oversight will be a main Toolbox focus moving forward. A refund has been offered and further incentives have been accepted.

I thankfully can say, on this occasion, this business has definitely understood the issue & has restored my confidence to use again if/where needed.

The plumber arrived at 11:35 am without calling.

The issue was that cold water was not coming from the tap. I had already purchased a new tap from Bunnings as a precaution. The plumber said the tap was the issue and replaced it. The problem still remained.

Only after that did he check further and said the actual issue was the cold water filter cartridge under the sink. When I asked to replace it, he said he didn’t carry any filters. Instead, he disconnected the filter completely, meaning the cold water is now unfiltered.

I was then sent an invoice for $319.20 for work that did not properly diagnose the issue in the first place.

I now have two taps, both working, but if the plumber had identified the real issue from the start, I would have saved around $200 and avoided unnecessary work.

Overall, poor communication, late arrival, and incorrect diagnosis. I do not recommend 247 Plumbing.

We called [Name Removed] to inspect our kitchen tap. He arrived, looked at the tap, and advised that it needed to be replaced. He quoted more than $800 for the replacement and charged a $140 callout fee. He said he would return the following day with a new tap from Reece. again myself. During the visit, he repeatedly mentioned the $140 callout fee, and I did not feel that any meaningful inspection or repair work was carried out.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service.

I strongly advise others to avoid this company. would be gatting a second quote, Brad the plumber went on and on about how "we will never find a better deal" & that "plumber's are dodgy"when I canclled the job the same day, I was told a manager would call me. Instead the technician Brad himself phoned my landline, raised voice "WHY DID YOU CANCEL" This was aggressive, inappropriate, and completely unprofessional. Throughout this process, the staff gave contradictory explanations for their charges, I was told they were keeping money for things like "driving my mum to the bank at my mother reques" (which is highly untrue)and "being on my property for over an hour" even though No Work was done..Their own staff could not provide a consistent transparent breakdown. After weeks of follow-up, they eventually refunded a portion of $299-this was after my mother had paid a $2,000 cash deposit. They returned the following $1,421 the following week, but the remaining $299 was only refunded weeks later and only after I repeatedly followed up in writing. (May 23 2026b Brad the plumber called my landline asking for me, once my mum informed him that I wasn't home, he told her that he would "pay me to take down my post"..?! My review will never be bought. Everything stated here is based on my direct experience and written communication with this company.
