Simpson SWT9043 Series Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhat does error e23 mean? The machine pumps the water out after the wash cycle but when time to spin brings up error e20. Doing a diagnostic shows e23.
My 9043 won’t agitate in rinse. Looks good mechanically and passes the diagnostic test. Any help appreciated.
Not sure why it would do so As if it was the gearbox issues it would likely do similar problems with the first wash cycle. Gearbox problems can be known by dried things on the clothing or even oil. Might have to turn Off the Power for at least one minute and see how it goes
Alternatively can contact Simpson or perhaps even a Simpsons washing machine repairs technician
Also : often washing machines will likely display a error code
Thanks. The gearbox is good. And I cleared the codes when doing the test. Only tried it once since.
what does the time adjust setting actually do? The actual time being displayed on the "display" does not time out correctly? With a minute to go, the actual time was 2 minutes 30 seconds. Regards Tony
Sorry but going to have to provide better information to Go On as doesn't make much sense the way it is
Though judging on Small details seems like there's something wrong with the washing machine so first try turning off the washing machine taking out the power plug from the point then placing back in and re turning the washing machine back on
On the Simpson SWT9043 washing machine, to the right and below the display screen is a button with a clock and hand symbol. Below that button is "Time Adjust". What is the purpose of this "time adjust" button? Regarding the time displayed: I have had the Simpson SWT9043 washing machine since 7th January 2020 and I have always been skeptical of the time counting on the display. Recently I checked the time count down. With one minute being displayed to finish of the cycle the actual time to finish was 2 minutes 30 seconds. I hope I have provided enough information for the technician to analyse the problem. Regards Tony
Is there any suggestions for EFO code repair or reset other than rearranging clothes. I have done that ended up emptying water manually and machine still reads EFO. Is there a way to clear this code?
Don't know Too much As not a technical expertise in repairing washing machines so going to have to provide a similar advice Turned off the washing machine by placing the switch on the left to the top middle Totally take the power cord out of the electricity point but obviously turn the power point switch off. Then turn it back on. Also remember not to wash clothing or towels while there's Steam from the Hot Or warm water in the bathroom
how to manually open top load lid, stuck on lock mode
That happened to me As well months ago Could try turning off the power from the power point after turning the electricityv back onthen proceed with moving around the switch on the left side . If the toggling doesn't work especially with the pause button there's likely something wrong so might have to get a qualified technician to have a look
Also remember when turning The Washing machine back on make sure the left switch is in the off position. Also switch it to cold water which is 2 turns of the knob to The right
Getting brown stain on the clothing. Is anyone else aware how to repair problem otherwise might have to get a technician or simply buy another whole washing machine
I cleaned up everything. IT stopped at least temporarily though the brown coloured stains in the clothing were most likely grease from the gearbox inside the washing machine
How do I replace the soft close liddampers
I am waiting to get the same answer
Machine works well until it starts the spin cycle. It starts to spin and bangs on the side out of balance even though the machine is level and ok before. There seams to now be a lot of play in the spin bowl. I have looked at the support rods and they seam ok but as I have pointed out the the bowl spins out of true and wobbles uncontrollably. There was mention in another forum about springs on the support rods but I don't see any. Help!
When it keeps banging around it will end up with a leak all over the floor. Happened twice to us. Replaced a hose the first time. There are pictures on here from my previous posts. On verge now gone to tip. Bought a Fisher Paykel 7 kg again. My Simpson would be 5 years old this October. A load of rubbish. Company don't want to know sent them receipts and everything first time around.

Will continue to do so. Mine would be 5 years old this year and is on verge. The constant banging around when things inside are balanced is a problem with this machine which then causes other things to happen and leak. Company was unhelpful. Now is on verge.
Does this washing machine have a fiilter
In the middle of the agitator lift it out and there should be a mesh bag attached.
They break too easily
Hello, I am happy with my 3 year old SWT9043. However, the hose inside the unit that connects to thye detergent drawer, has split - causing leaks. The only replacement hose I can locate comes with a full kit that contains two plastic parts I have no use for. That not only causes waste, but will also be far more difficult to install, rather than clipping on the two ends of the hose. Questions: 1 - Where can I find a hose only part? 2 - The hose joins an in pipe to an out tube that are only about 6 inches apart: why is the hose nearly 3 feet long? Thank you.
Second refill not operated. Please tell me where the error is
The error is Would highly recommend to buy a better quality washing machine. Send the dangerous washing machine to recycling centre or possibly even the tip. It's simply not worth it
the filter is not as good as my previous machine. I just hung the washing on the line and there was hair on the clothes. This never happened with my previous machine, which was also a Simpson.
is there something I'm doing wrong? the filter looks identical?
Hello Anyway I Just Bought My 9kg Washing Machine,Very With It,I Was Impressed,All The Buttons Works Well,Really Good This 20 Minutes Wash,But I Like To Have My Favorite Set,And EXCEPT The Water Level,It Doesn't Allow Me To Medium?Only Low,Full And Auto?BECAUSE It Seems Like That The Button Was Frozen?,I Tried Everything,BECAUSE I Might Have The Large Load?So Medium Would Be An Ideal,Thank You

Does it have a LINT FILTER? And where is the lint filter on the Simpson SWT9043A model located please .. As currently all my dark clothing comes out covered in fluff .
Usually in the middle of where the agitator is. Take the cap off and pull out and clean the filter.
I clean it after very cycle and still the white patches appear on the clothes
Hello doesn't answer where or if there is a lot filter
Got a 9043a. With flat agitator. Didn't realize. Tangles clothes badly. Question? Can I replace the flat agitator "Simply" with the big central rising one? They are removable and seem same diamater at the base. If so - cost to buy one?
Help lid locked shut
The lid should unlock at the end of the cycle or when the machine is turned off. When modifying my machine, I disabled the lid lock by filing off the catch part of it. The machine thinks it's working, but there is nothing there to lock the lid shut.
How do i unlock the lid it seems locked tight tried everything in the manual
Hi Maree has happened to me several times don't no why but I had to turn the washing machine dial to off then switch off at wall at power point then switch on again and push start/pause button. Hope it works for you:-)
Where’s the lint filter
It's in the middle of the agitator usually under the white cap. The lint bag is on the end. Just clip it off and rinse. Sometimes the bag falls off in the agitator which has happened many times to me with a few choice words but get a long firm stick to slide the bag up and out. Hope that helps Pete B. Kind regards Wendy:-)
The lint filter seems to have dropped right down the agitator where it’s placed and we can’t reach to get it out. What can I do?
That has happened to me many times LOL. I keep a thin stick pole in my laundry and drag it up the agitator. May take several goes and a few choice words but it works. Good Luck Diane:-) Wendy
