points at both properties weren’t ideal, the team managed it really well without any issues. The whole move took around 7 hours, and they were patient throughout—removing and reassembling furniture, asking me exactly how I wanted things set up, and even helping me put some boxes together.
The truck was in great condition, and they didn’t waste any time. Overall, an excellent experience—I’d highly recommend 6 Brothers Removalists for anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and efficient moving service.

VIDEO TO PROVE THEM IT WAS GOOD CONDITION BEFORE THEY TOUCH, otherwise they don’t care about your complaint, specially after take your money.
I contracted Six Brothers Removals in 2020 and had no complaints. However, my recent experience with them was DISAPPOINTING. During this move, they showed little care for my furniture. When they attempted to move my three-seater sofa, they initially tried to fit it into the lift without removing the legs, only to realize it wouldn’t fit. I was not present to witness this process, but then Sam came to ask for a bag to keep the legs together so they wouldn’t get lost, which I did.
As they continued to move my other furniture, I noticed Sam was spending excessive time organizing the truck, particularly while he was loading two side tables. Meanwhile, Tim was disassembling my bed. It took them 15 minutes to leave my old apartment and head to my new one, even though we left at the same time. Once we arrived, they took their time unloading and assembling the furniture.
After the move, I didn’t have time to organize my belongings. Eight days later, when I went to move my sofa, I discovered scratches on the wood and one of the legs was broken and scratched. Upon inspecting it closely, I found that a screw was broken. I sent an email to Six Brothers explaining the situation, and their response was, “I’ve reviewed your photos and understand your concerns about how the sofa was handled. However, I’ve attached photos taken by our removalist on the day, prior to moving your items, which show that some damage to the sofa legs was present before we commenced the service.” (Last two photos)
The photos they provided showed damage to the leg taken in the corridor near the lift, and the damage on the side of the sofa was taken in the lobby of my building. The flooring in those photos was not the light grey of my apartment, which suggests the damage likely occurred when they were trying to fit the sofa with the legs still attached. I questioned why they didn’t take a photo of my sofa before moving it.
In response to my concerns, Six Brothers stated, “If you’re able to provide clear photos or video showing the good condition of your items before our team started the move, I can look into this further for you. Kind Regards, Kara | Six Brothers Team.”
Would you trust a company that doesn’t take responsibility for damages caused during their service?
Additionally, I noticed a few minor issues worth mentioning for anyone considering this company.
When they arrived, they were unhappy with the parking spot I chose and suggested I park about 100 meters away which is NO PARKING . They insisted that could be a better spot to parking, but I have to sign a disclaimer on my phone stating I would cover any fines incurred, which I refused to Parking on NO PARKING.
When it came to disassembling my bed, they asked if I had an automatic drill, which I lent them. I believe this tool is essential for professional removalists, but I didn’t mind lending it.
They didn't wrap my sofa or any fabric parts of my bed, even though they advertised that they would. As a result, my sofa and parts of my bed got stained, which is very disappointing.
Also, they left my tallboy unwrapped.
While these may seem like minor issues, I am particularly frustrated with how they handled the damage to my sofa. I will never hire this company again and cannot recommend them. I believe there are more reliable removalists available in the They didn't wrap my sofa or any fabric parts of my bed, even though they advertised that they would. As a result, my sofa and parts of my bed got stained, which is very disappointing.

Move was for a 2 bedroom unit. Late arrival with a supervised truck fit for a 5 level commercial building. Delays then sending out correct size truck. Damaged couch, dining table and other items. Scratched up walls in move. Avoid at all cost

truck and then the storage unit so neatly and maximising every square metre fitting everything in with space spare as it was a small house 3bed house to a small storage unit. Very happy with price too coming from Sydney to Lake Macquarie.

I booked 2 trucks with 4 men, Only 1 truck and 2 Men arrived. Left many stuff behind saying It does not fit (even after 2 trips). Already mentioned in the inventory list for 25 Big boxes, None of the stuff weighs more than 40 kgs, but still was charged additional for heavy items. No proper details on how to pay the remaining amount upon completion of work. I was forced to pay whatever the movers asked, that too to his personal account.

Said they would call before coming they did not, spent more time in their truck then they did moving my belongings, cancelled the job not even an hour into the move, company calling me for payment???? proceeded to stand around in my house chatting on their phones instead of actually doing the job, spent more time in their truck on their phones doing nothing, tried to drop my mattress over my balcony even after I told them how expensive it was, got all my belongings including the mattress stuck in the only lift in the building which resulted in more time for them sitting around doing nothing, more interested in asking me if I was married to obviously take advantage of me, by this stage they had been in my unit for over 4 hours still not even half finished, I myself ended up carrying my own belongings down and out to their truck which is completely shocking, I am paying them to do a service not the other way around, took the longest route during peak hour traffic for a 2km distance for the move, overpriced, rude, no one wanted to talk to me about the terrible experience I had endured, I was visibly upset tried contacting them for support during the move, did not care for anything that actually happened, no sympathy, took them over 6 hours for a 1 bedroom apartment to move 2km's away. Absolutely disrespectful taking advantage of a paying customer that basically did their job for them, threatened me at the end of the job saying they were not leaving my house until payment was made then tried keeping my belongings in their truck to ensure but luckily i'm not stupid and went out and collected them before they could steal them, lots of items missing aswell, I was quoted something completely different they never provided an invoice at that time so they were just throwing random numbers out at that stage, told me I had to pay them cash which I did not agree to, purporsely wasted time all day to ensure I would have to pay them more than what was originally agreed upon, bombarded with phone calls from random men afterwards. Basically have ended up begging them for a part refund for weeks after the move because of the terrible experience which I am absolutely entitled to, upon reading previous reviews I would say they will try and dispute that so they get the money back i'll wait to see on that one. Would absolutely NEVER use this company unless you want to make your move 1000% times more stressful and harder than it needs to be.

My fridge plug was broken and is now unusable, my TV arrived with a cracked screen, and multiple fragile items—clearly labelled—were broken. My sofa was left downstairs in the building garage. I had clearly informed them in advance that my apartment was on the second floor and that stairs might be needed. Their staff member (Kara) confirmed this was fine and noted it in the booking, yet the delivery team refused to even try. They demanded full payment before delivery—even though their service was incomplete and careless. They used a shipping container instead of the door-to-door truck service I was promised. I was never told that third-party subcontractors or yard storage would be involved. Even worse, the container seal was broken before delivery despite me explicitly asking them to keep it sealed. I was charged an extra $420 in labour time even though the team worked slowly, and my partner had to step in to help with the heavy lifting. When I lodged a formal complaint, they denied responsibility, gave false excuses, and refused any compensation. I have submitted a complaint to NSW Fair Trading.
Do not trust this company’s verbal promises. Do not expect accountability.

second run as the truck was too small for the job. The driver also ripped out an overhead cable running from the pole in the street to the house and the company would not pay for repairs or offer any refund for us to have it repaired. To avoid the extortion money being demanded for extra time, we had to move most of the heavy item's they conveniently avoided ourselves using a box trailer in the rain. Will never use this company again! Wish there was a 0/5 score!
