False Advertising - DO NOT BUY – DO NOT buy from this company. They advertise that the skimmer basket "fits all skimmer boxes" - it does not... the basket was too wide for our skimmer and as such would not sit down far enough to be below the waterline. sent (their website says 15 days of being sent or 10 days from receiving). After I emailed back saying that as we are in Australia and it was over the Christmas period, it had only just arrived. They then replied saying that I could send it back at my expense for a refund, but only had 48 hours to do so. I physically could make this deadline. As such we have an item that we cannot use and are out of pocket. Not only is this false advertising, but they are very rude and make it extremely difficult to deal with them. I would strongly recommend buying from somewhere else.

LOOKS IMPRESSIVE – Was about to purchase this product because it looked amazing, so glad I came to read the reviews first. Guess I will just stick to the normal basket I've used for years. Thank you.

Excellent! – For those that say it doesn't work... apparently you don't know how to use it or you have bigger problems with your pool? My first one lasted 3 years and broke when a kid yanked on it. My second one is a little over 1 year old and it works exactly as advertised! Show details

SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM – I have an inground pool and due to settling or warping in the skimmer, the skimmer flaps would stick causing the skimmer to lose water and create air which can cause motor problems. rain storm they are useless, I have maintained both pools for at least 8 years no problems until the purchase of the skim around baskets.

contacted Skim-A-Round to return the items. I washed the baskets with Dawn dish soap and water and made sure they were clean and sent them back. Just received an email from the company that the products were not returned in good enough condition and that they won't refund my money and that I would have to pay for returning shipping to get the product back. What a scam. So now I'm out nearly $100 for 2 skimmers and the return shipping and they'll just keep the product and resell it if I don't pay to get skimmers back that I don't want? The product may work for you, but the company is terrible and their customer service is even worse.

Waste of money – Thin lightweight cheap plastic. When the pump shuts off floats to the top does not get sucked back down for a good seal. Must run my pump on a higher speed to make it work properly costing more an electricity. You must split in half to empty basket making it more time-consuming. Move on do not purchase. Show details

pool system not pumping water properly while you have no idea about it because its winter and you're not swimming. I have had damage from my pool pump because of this skimmer basket I cannot get any help from customer service I do not recommend this product at all stay away from it.

Swim Around- On the top peice that has the 4 vertical pieces, that needs to be 8. Perhaps slotted holes throughout. You have to press down to snap it together and this Design doesn't have the integrity to do so. Fail. Where the basket snapps in at the bottom needs a better design, one that is more reliable that also accounts for the filter bag being used with it.Yall aggervate me being hard to get ahold of not showing any customer service and that's why this conversation is in the reviews.

comes apart with debris – Have had this for 5 days (purchased Nov. 26, received Dec. 1). the pre-pump filter. Also, the advertised "benefit" that it floats when the pump is off -- is not a benefit. Any debris that floats in around it gets sucked into the pre-pump filter. I have trees, leaves falling, and some get pulled into the skimmer. I maintain it every day, and especially in the fall when the leaves fall. My old basket is back in service. It works -- I just wanted something better. This is not it!

Absolute SCAM!!! – Ordered this product and did everything I could to make it work. It does not work at all. Basket would not sink back down when my pump came on in the morning. return policy is a joke. They make it near impossible to return but I jumped through the hoops and paid the shipping to return it and on time as they stated. They claimed refund in 10 to 14 business days. That was nearly a month ago and they don’t give you any way to contact them. This company should be sued with a class action and put out of business. Absolutely deceptive business.

cheap leggo pieces. They also snap apart very easily like cheap leggo pieces. Flimsy material, cheap construction, no way that is going in my pool.

Here's the problem: Their return policy should be called Skam-A-Round. When I submitted my return request, the last popup screen states 'thank you, your return instructions will be sent to you in 24-48 hours'. So, 24 hours later I look for my return authorization. It's there and was sent nearly immediately. This is not a case of under-promising and over-delivering due to this statement in the return instruction: Please remember, if your item is not in transit within 72 hours, this RMA number will be void.

So basically, they told me I wouldn't get the return authorization for at least 24 hours, then when I look for it on their timeline, I'm already 24 hours into a 72 hour window to put it the mail. This is nothing more than a sophomoric attempt to offer a return policy, then create unreasonable parameters so they don't have to honor the refund.

Why would they do this? Unpack a Skim-A-Round product and I'm pretty certain consumers will want to return it immediately due to the cheap materials and construction.

pictures and everything I returned was in brand new condition...and yet, I got a response saying "After their review there was a scratch on one piece and they would only give me a partial refund." I was very upset, but again no way to communicate with the company. There is no way they can substantiate their claim that my return was scratched...they merely state that and I have no recourse. I would strongly advise that you DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company.

Terrible product do not buy – Love the design and was sold by watching their videos of how easy and great it works. Unfortunately it doesn’t. The problem is the basket itself is just way too light.
