Hi I tried to find some flights from Sydney to paris. Found some good flights via trip.com. tried to pay but was blocked. Was returned to Skyscanner to just find that the flight once of a sudden had gone up by 200 dollars per person. Searched on other device to once again get offered the same cheaper rate to get denied at payment and again here get a rate 200 higher once returned to Skyscanner. How can I actually lock I this rate and physically pay?

Hi Team How can I select the option of checked baggage before I put my payment details in? Thank you Nathalie

Hi Nathalie, At Skyscanner, we are a flight search engine and do not book flights ourselves. Each airline and online travel agent should have a section where you are able to add on baggage, meals, and seat selection before payment. Best, Chantae

Your prices seem very good compared to other companies but I am worried that there is no protection if things go wrong. Will travel insurance cover one in the event of a collapse such as bestjet?

Hi, I’m trying to book flight from Sydney to Dubai on Aunt Betty.. I found my flight but doesn’t show if it’s flexible and the How many kg lagage? Can someone assist me please?
1 answer
Hi Najma, Most airfares are not flexible fares by default -- though you would have to double check with the airline or with Aunt Betty. After selecting your flight, you should be directed to a page where you can book luggage. As we don't take payments or make bookings ourselves, you have to contact Aunt Betty for clarification on your flight. If you have trouble getting in touch, please feel free to reach out to our help team at https://help.skyscanner.net/hc/en-gb/requests/new - Chantae

I am travelling to Beijing from Brisbane via Hong Kong. When i arrive in Hong Kong do i have to go through customs or do i just go through to the Transit Lounge and wait for my connecting flight to Beijing
2 answers
Hi Ken, I am not really sure about Hong Kong and Beijing. Usually you go strait to the transit lounge and wait for your connecting flight. I am sure, that they make an announcement before landing in Hong Kong and also show an video which walks you trough the airport to the Transit Lounge. You can also send an email to Skyscanner or give them a Call. They are usually very helpful and answer you in no time. I hope I could help NatoHi Ken! You will go through security then to the transit lounge to wait for your connecting flight.

While booking flight can i know date can be changed after booking and what is the charge for it?
1 answer
Hi Hitesh, All the different agents and airlines on Skyscanner have a different policies regarding this. Before you decide to book you will be redirected to the website of the organisation selling that flight. They will display the flights T&C including the change policy before payment. We're working to make this information more visible on the Skyscanner site / app. But until then please review the terms and conditions on the website of the agent / airline selling that flight. Thanks, Mike

I recently booked a return flight through Skyscanner and Bestjet.com. Due to unfortunate circumstances I have to cancel. Bestjet got back to me and said Cancellation - Non refundable. Is this correct? I expected to be penalised, but this. Awaiting your reply. Trisha

Get in touch with the ombudsmanHi Trisha, I can definitely understand your concern. At Skyscanner, we do not take payments, set prices, or store any booking information -- all refund policies are set by the airline or the booking agent. Could you please let our help team know about this problem? https://help.skyscanner.net/hc/en-gb/requests/new There, our help team can contact Bestjet on your behalf and look into whether your ticket is refundable and how to receive it if so. - Chantae

I have used Skyscanner to find flights to singapore. On accepting the flight I have booked through trip.com. I am not happy at all with trip.com and wonder if I have been confused when booking. Do you refer to trip.com ? Regards sue
2 answers
Hi Sue and thanks for your question about Trip.com Skyscanner is a travel search engine and not a travel agent. Which means we don't take bookings ourselves. We help you find who has the best deals on flights from across the internet. Then either refer you to their website to complete the booking, or in some cases, like with Trip.com the booking can continue on the Skyscanner site - however you have booked your flights with Trip.com. We are trying to have more agents allow us to take the bookings on the Skyscanner site to make it easier and less disruptive booking experience for our users. I hope this clears things up for you. If you're unhappy with the service you are getting from Trip.com our Help team will be happy to assist. You can reach them via our Help Centre at https://help.skyscanner.net/hc/requests/new or Trip.com's customer service contact details are here; https://pages.trip.com/service-guideline/contact-us-en-au.html Wishing you a great time in Singapore. MikeIf you are in Australia avoid booking with Trip.com as they do not provide an Australian address for service in case you want to take legal action against them. Theoretically you are covered by Australian Consumer law but this company are operating from China so it will be difficult to get an acceptable or practical remedy from them. I am saying this from experience as a friend had immense difficulties with this company refusing to alter a flight and refusing to correct names that they entered incorrectly into a booking.
