Great service, easy process
leasing a car through smartleasing is one of the easiest things I have done. The service was excellent and no question was too difficult. Any queries I had were promptly answered and the process was easy. Within three weeks of going ahead with my lease, I was driving my new car. I will definitely recommend smartleasing and would not hesitate to lease again.
So far it has been excellent from day 1. Great support and service and well as follow up. Good with helping and answering my questions then provided satisfactory answers and Solutions.

Beware, beware, beware
You have to hand it to a company which, in the midst of the worst car sales in recent years, have actually managed to find a way to increase the value of your car! Changing employers after 12 months to a company that doesn't have salary sacrifice led to the stunning discovery my $25K car had miraculously increased in value 50 per cent to $37K! And this after Holden had announced a shut down and every other recent Holden in the country had somehow gone down in value! Ask these people lots of questions before signing up if your employment may change.
20/2/2020 - Addendum - this has been resolved. The events below are in no particular order but just an account of my experience.
I have only just begun a leasing journey with this company and I have to say, the service is absolutely terrible! I regret it already and the lease hasn’t even started.
I was quite shocked to see that this company had been rated so highly by so many customers. My experience, unfortunately for me, has been vastly different to most.
Communication is terrible. With the leasing consultant and the settlem...ent consultant - more so the former. One day turnaround time for a simple question is pretty bad. Especially when they cannot be reached by phone. I tried many times to call my consultant who seemed to be unavailable 80% of the time. So email being the only form of communication meant that one conversation had a 1.5 week turnaround - which in my opinion is absolutely pathetic.

James Taylor-Craig was amazing. He expedited my application allowing me to get into my new car in only a couple of days. Very professional to deal with, he replied to all the questions I had and responded to every phone call and email.
Easy, Flexible and Helpful
They took care of the process for me, flexibility in sourcing my own vehicle if necessary and gave me full price breakdowns of everything. Anne-Marie the leasing agent was awesome.
Easy and Simple
Once I had decided what car I wanted the operator who was my case officer had everything in place. The paperwork was simple and easy to understand, I kept calling them each step of the way and they responded quickly and professionally. I would recommend them evertimey
High Fees and Poor Communication
Smart Leasing has high fees for a mostly automated system that requires very little actual admin. For example you can be slugged multiple 'admin fees' in addition to 'management fees' in a single month. If you wish to inquire about a something related to your package allocate at least half an hour to sit on the phone as call waiting times are exorbitant. Smart Leasing also attempted to automatically deduct further pay from may salary my vehicle budget was apparently low despite there being excessive amounts available for reimbursement. An examp...le of an automated system with very little human oversight getting things wrong despite paying heft 'admin' and 'management' fees. The only advise that this was happening was via email and required no authorisation on my part. To rectify this problem was another 30 minute phone call to ensure no further pay was to be deducted.

When we wanted to start leasing we already had a car in mind but it wasn’t new. Smartleasing organised everything to make sure we got the lease as well as the arrangements with payroll. Made the whole process simple

Questions & Answers
Has anyone found their lease package included 6 extra insurance products and services that were not fully disclosed? You would discover that the principal finance amount is around $6-7k more than the actual cost of the car. The principal financed amount is found deep in page 3 of the Lease Quote within the Terms and Conditions, and you may find it is more than you recall the car costing. If so, I'd be interested to hear about your experience. I have realised it has happened to our two current leases, 1 and 2 years old, but if you call now for a quote now (post Royal Commission?) that the same products are disclosed.
