Nice people but watch out for fees
Customer service is really good. They get back to you and answer your queries. I am however very disappointed that I signed up to extra insurance options, fees, brokerage fees. All totally an extra 8k on top of the purchase of my car. Thankfully I realised this before the cooling off period expired and have cancelled most optional insurances. Yes I signed up for them, but the forms are trickerly formatted in a way that it seems like it’s all included in the lease... not additional. Very big distinction that smartleasing need to be transparent a...bout. I unknowingly also paid $2,000 in a brokerage fee!! I didn’t look for this one in the fine print because it wasn’t alluded to in any conversation I’d had with smartleasing. Something I would never expect to pay. Watch out, do your sums and read all the fine print in the general terms. Get advice if it seems like it is open to interpretation
poor communication and inaccurate information
I have been a smartleasing customer for 5 years. the initial service was problematic - there were extra fees not quoted and there were problems with the timing for the delivery of my car. I have just paid out the residual on my car and have had so many different stories on both the process and more importantly confusion for the car insurance end dates. Despite numerous phone calls and a confirmation email of the comprehensive insurance end date at the end of December, I continue to receive conflicting emails for the end date notifying the middle of December and also requesting further payments. One last clarifying phone call and it now appears I haven't been insured since the end of November! Who knows??
Happy with the service
Customer service officers were always friendly and helpful. Straightforward process from start to finish. Website didn't want to cooperate when filling in forms and had to get customer service officer to do it. Also product that we wanted added to car can't be added so had to go through the whole process again which was a little annoying but not a major issue. Loving the new car!
Disappointed is an understatement!!!!
Could not be more frustrated nor dissatisfied with the lack of service provided by Smart Leasing. 4 weeks after purchasing our new car we are STILL without the car due to numerous automated errors by Smart Lease. This only only made worse by the total lack of ownership and care by the lacklustre staff! Do yourself a favour.... Avoid this company at all cost!!!

Best way to lease/finance a car
Smart leasing took away the hassle of paper work, field work to get and compare prices for car and organised finance for the car. Plus on top making tax and GST savings. Its a no brainer!

Smartleasing made the process of leasing a car easy from start to finish, and there was always someone to speak to when I had a question. I have just finished my first lease and will definitely stay with smartleasing next time.
Overall the staff were professional and very helpful when talkin g to them on the phone, the waiting time takes a bit of effort, but there are alternatives such as online requests. When you do get through to the staff they are always helpful and professional though.

It is cheaper then when I was on a normal car finance with al the extra costs .
The customer service has been outstanding . My queries have always been resolved . The before tax and after tax has made a difference . I hope the rate to get better in the future .
Difficult to deal with.
Helpful when gaining your business. Difficult and non user friendly processes when it comes to all other aspects. If you do not have computer access or are pc illerate you get no help . They have a customer support e mail address which cannot be used if making an expense claim.

Has anyone found their lease package included 6 extra insurance products and services that were not fully disclosed? You would discover that the principal finance amount is around $6-7k more than the actual cost of the car. The principal financed amount is found deep in page 3 of the Lease Quote within the Terms and Conditions, and you may find it is more than you recall the car costing. If so, I'd be interested to hear about your experience. I have realised it has happened to our two current leases, 1 and 2 years old, but if you call now for a quote now (post Royal Commission?) that the same products are disclosed.
